Saw Katie last week in Raleigh opening for American Aquarium. I knew this song and a few others of hers, but she was simply outstanding. Admitted she was a little nervous but it certainly didn't show. She was strong from start to finish. Very good band behind her, too. I'd certainly go see her again.

Sooooo awesome! I came upon your music accidentally, waking up from a nap and your voice on the tv on a different show than what I’d fell asleep too. It was a taped radio show with a live audience but I can’t remember the name. I was completely blown away. Still am. This is a really beautiful song and heartfelt message. ❤️

Country music (like its American cousin/half-sibling hip hop) has the power inherent in its genre to tell powerful meaningful stories. It's a shame so few (read indie artists like Katie) artist are using the power of the genre to tell those stories when America needs it most.
