I'm a 60-year-old guy who has always surrounded myself in music. What Katie explained about music and how it affects us spiritualty and scientific is so true. At the youngest of age, I remember how I felt hearing Motown artists for the first time. At the time I couldn't explain the feeling I was having...looking back I think it was Joy. And in the situation I was in, a broken home with a single mother trying to raise my two sisters and I, I needed any Joy I could find. Then as I grew older, I found that through loss and heartbreak music could soothe and heal the heart, body and mind. Currently I'm dealing with the fact that my girlfriend was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and is in a care center for the rest of her life. So, for the few years she has left to live, I will fill my heart, body and mind with music.
Katie you are honest, you are definitely brave, you are certainly immensely talented, you can go the whole way because you have it all and the world needs to see you grow and hear your story through that beautiful voice you have. UK needs to see you soon!
