Been watching for over a year to improve and amazing content and explanations guys! I could also see huge improvements in the editing as well! Stay well and Stay safe guys!
Very cool video! On the last Omaplata with foot under arm if he comes around and grabs the belt by your hip with his right hand and then compresses the foot towards the butt it will create a cool calf slicer. That foot lock from Omaplata was fantastic as well! Definitely one of the best grappling channels!
Great videos! Thank you very much. Please, in the monoplata position (8:32), is Matt's right hand not able to help him out in some way? e.g. Could he not use it to alleviate the pressure on his neck, and proceed to some sort of escape?
@@TheGrapplingAcademy Wow, I wasn't expecting a prompt reply from the man himself! Thanks, Professor. I'll be giving these a go once I'm back on the mat. Your content is great, and your teaching is thorough and clear. Parabéns!
On the step thru to half guard, why would no gi players tend to go back for the heel instead ofthe knee bar with toe hold back up that you mentioned gi players would go for?
Tom not only has the editing gotten better, but you got BIGGER.
I just got my black belt I always watch your guys videos when Im at home its always good to hear how others teach
1:30 armbar from modified scarf hold
4:11 inside heel hook, 411 position, knee bar and toe hold from side mount
6:25 kimura, omaplata, monoplata
Watched the first bit about arm bars from side control, went to open mat, and had a LOT of success with them!
Landed one tonight love your videos
This editing and production here was a few levels above the average BJJ, grappling video. I liked it.
Whoever the editor is, that is a sweet transition at 0:18 going from the sky into the gym!
I appreciate the kind words :D
Thanks for all the videos u r making

There are always counters to everything. Speed, surprise are key when using this or any combo!

Because heel hooks are legal in No Gi but not in Gi
I can use this as a law enforcer. Goodluck badguys 😈
