Seth Rogen is getting old
hahaha
+ThePepe5861 good one LOL
Brilliant haha
+ThePepe5861 How stoned are you? lol
BOOOOOOO
So glad to see Wozniak finally getting the exposure he deserves.
I feel like Wozniak is always interrupted when he's about to get passionate. It kinda sucks. You ask him a question, let him speak until he's done.
i agree, but its a hosts job to keep an interview moving.. limited time.
absolutely, sounds wierd but i do see some of that in myself, i usually talk pretty calm and slow but when i talk about computers i talk 120 words per minute xD
An apple a day keeps the FBI away
Woz spittin' truth yet again
Wow, Serious Woz is one hell of a great guy.
the real apple genius. :)
+SlimxWorm absolutely
Wozniak is the *true* inventor of the personal computer. Thanks for bringing our world into a new era!
Just look at his way of saying "thank you" at the last applause. He's so nice
steve jobs took advantage of wozniak's good nature. look at this man. he's a genius, yes. but i feel he's easy to manipulate and steve jobs was good at that.
+Liam Han jobs was a snake with a disguise that fooled billions
Yes this guy is the one responsible for apple. this guy is the real genius
+sergioavila2720 yes definetly for apllesbeginning. But it's not like he had anything to do with the ipod, the imac, the iphone.
Those were other people.
Woz would have never become famous and rich without Jobs.
+olli tuovinen True. You need a leader and a brain. You can't do anything with just one of them. I don't think the guy complains at all.
Praise be to the All and Powerful Wizard of Woz
+MisterPayneS bow down to the Woz!
Woz is to Jobs as Tesla is to Edison.
And I shall choose the former in both cases.
+Thomas Christopher White what?
+Matthew Lastnames Both got robbed (bought out) from their huge creations to benefit mankind.
SMAAAAART AND YES!!
Nicole Bauer Like I said.
Woz is to Jobs as Tesla is to Edison.
The government is never happy. Give them access to one thing, they want more
Nice avatar... As Bob once said in a song. "Steal a little and they throw you in jail, steal a lot and they make you king"
Tax is slavery, government is our new king. Our ancestors left much less oppression when they moved to the 'free world'. Its come full circle.
He's the real brains behind Apple, the most profitable company in the entire world. He's a proper genius of epic proportions.
+Queen Elizabeth II The governments tend to hate smart people because they can't control them like the other brainless sheep.
+randomguy8196 he was there for a lot of mac and did a lot of the design for mac till the early 2000s if i remember correctly then became a kindergarten teacher for a little while
He is very passionate
+Ralouch He's WOZ. You don't get more passionate than him.
Incredibly smart man!
WOZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL
Anyone else pee on the side of the toilet at night so you don't make any noise?
All the time.
Hmm, didn't know a person could do that while sitting down. I wouldn't recommend trying this method at the urinal though. Might look funny.
+Nick's Strength and Power I wish my upstairs neighbor would do that
+Nick's Strength and Power It's the courtesy bank shot. All the best people do this.
One of the greatest human beings of all time. A credit to our species
He seems interesting.
I'm gonna have to look this guy up on my Commodore 64.
+fidorover Ha!
+fidorover how dare you look him up on your 64 amiga for life
My aunt ,fat agnus says it's going to be even better than the c64 (except the sound, they put a sound chip in there instead of a sound synthesiser and it sounds really sterile she said).
SYNTAX ERROR
The real mister Apple right here !
Actually it's Steve jobs
+Isaiah Beltran lol good one
Jobs was an innovator but the great woz was the Creator! All kneel at the feet of the great and powerful Woz
+Isaiah Beltran Wozniak made the things and Jobs sold them, pretty much how Apple got started.
+20buckman12 You're right, Woz built them and Jobs did the rest. (making them user-friendly, marketing, etc.)
king of nerds! i love that guy
the true "father" of Apple
+Niko Dejarme get your facts. he is the mother, jobs is the father
+Rizky Octavianto That's actually a really good metaphor. Jobs planted the seed and Woz and co gave birth to it.
+Rizky Octavianto Well sort of. I'm sure you know what I mean.
How often does Conan actually show important topics?
Thumbs up for this one by the way.
Wozniak is great
this is THE guy
I thank the Woz
so many people don't understand that this issue concerns all devices, not one suspect phone.
Behold, the Great Woz, the man behind the curtain!
I wish Waz was the CEO of Apple. He seems way cooler than Jobs and Cook.
+Chad Hotelling Greatest CEO of GameaVision
my house is in his left nostril
Right* In your POV you see it on his left but in reality thats his right nostril. Yes I must be fun at parties LOL
Frickin' love your profile pic!... Noh my Gawd.
The level of humility is insane. Wish more people were line this.
I met and spoke with Mr Wozniak a few years ago and he's an Awesome guy! I'm with him on this one!
SBF
I wish apple would hire him :( it would be so refreshing to see Woz introduce some new apple software/products for a change.
+Patrick Turner That would be epic. I can see it in the future... as a recovery strategy :\
+Patrick Turner Didn't Wozniak quit?
+Patrick Turner Wozniak was the builder/programmer though. He's not into marketing like Jobs was.
Is that Seth Rogan?!?!
Ewww
It's Wolf Blizter
No.
You obviously don't get the reference then.
+metalshredmetal1 The reference doesn't work for YOU. That's on you. It's not his job to cater to you.
the only people who want and support the backdoor to an iphone are the very people we should imprison
Wow, well said. I'm gonna steal that one.
t is please do! spread that sucker as far and wide as you can, my fellow carbon based life-form!
0:20 Yes, security is SO important to Apple, just ask Jennifer Lawrence.. :\ Apple just use this as a marketing opportunity.
+BdR76 apple had nothing to do with jennifer lawrence. she was compromised by someone getting her phone and she did not have full security turned on. the fbi could get into jennifer lawrence's phone easily, if they had a warrant.
this is about banking, credit cards, location data, and the ability for apple to assure customers that they are selling them the security they are claiming to. perhaps you are a google phone user so you don't care about this, you are already sold and tracked. apple keeps that to itself and offers iPhone customers the ability to completely encrypt their data and provide additional safeguards against cracking.
apple already turned over all the iCloud data and the phone company has turned over all that data. apple also offered to consult the fbi on getting into the phone in question. but the fbi screwed up and tripped up the auto-destruct mechanism. it doesn't actually destruct, but it locks the whole thing down hardcore until the 4-digit pin in input by a person.
+BdR76 thats not apples fault ... you can't prevent hacking like that ...
+BdR76 People compromised her iCloud password. That has nothing to do with the security of iCloud itself.
UNCLE STEVIE. So cuddly :>
Except they've done it for China...
Source?
+Jose GomezFranco
This is the age of trump. Who the hell needs sources or facts?
You have give us a source if you want to say something like that
+Adronomics you must be referring to Google's caving to China by censoring search results. different issue entirely
+Adronomics Who cares about China, they can rot in their own bubble of pollution for all I care.
That one person that sides with the FBI XD (there's only one dislike vs 103 at the time of this comment)
Still is. Hopefully there aren't more
Now it's 300 likes to 3 dislikes
Seems like a ratio of 100-1
+UntamedGrizzly 797-19..
+Zacc 30 now
apple's reaction @ 0:13 "what's that"
I love Woz and his Segway polo antics
I still can't believe the seahawks didn't run the ball
Yet another reason to love the Wizard of Woz.
he is way better than Jobs, only thing jobs is good at was marketing
+smith tag That's why they worked together.
There's no one "better" than somebody else, just people more proficient in some skill sets than others
+TheWolverineiscool _ it's kinda true job really didn't do any real coding and was basically a marketing genius
+Danilo Cianfrone but wozniak did most of the building but jobs got most of the credit
+LeBron Curry that may be true, but that's because Wozniak himself is a low profile person. He was totally fine with it. Not once did I ever hear him complain about it. Even though he was low profile, I'm sure he had a good salary since's he's one of the founders.
+smith tag Wozniak was able to implement the code and do all of that technical stuff. Steve was the one with the vision. So while it's true that Steve couldn't code or program anything, he was able to envision products based on user experience. Woz and Jobs complimented each other. Neither one is "better."
The moment when Steve Woz admits to have written a virus to infect Mac's. What a way to let some tension out.
EFF grows more important every day.
+PropaneWP paranoia is trending right now indeed
+Xenial Xerus
...and ignorance is as strong as ever
***** that's kinda given - educated people have nothing to fear
Xenial Xerus What are you trying to say Xenial?
Without this man Jobs would have never of had a flagship product to push.
he must have a lot of secrets on his phone lol
its like a living legend just chilling with conan
Man I love smoking and watching Conan @night
Most fascinating guy to listen to. Brilliant..Honest… Fun and kind 👏
182 people work for the NSA
+joeracer302 hahaha
Please produce more interviews of this nature. I think your viewers would appriciate a little more of important subjects being argumented for, just once in a while.
John McAfee basically argued the same thing. Once you give this privilege to the US government, every other country is going to come up with a court order-like document requesting the same privileges. There will be absolutely no privacy left in the digital world. All of our privacy is virtually riding on this particular case with the FBI. I really hope the right decision is made here.
Looks like Will Sasso doing his Kenny Rogers character.
+Tim Daugherty Bwahaha! Damn, I was wondering who he reminds me of! Great one!
"As a strong proponent of privacy and human rights, Steve stands firmly with Apple." Hmm, something about that doesn't add up
+stebsis Apple has always taken a strong stance on human rights but try to understand that they have no control over China's government nor Chinese companies. Apple can not have a person standing around Foxconn factory making sure they adhere to the labor standard they want. Also, Ive worked 7 days 12hr shifts in a factory here in the US. The media tends to bias things and people forget that manufacturing is not 100% year round. There are crunch times during peak season. i.e Iphone launch but other than then things calm down and sometimes get very slow. I think its sad that Apple gets all the bad press when Microsoft, Sony, Amazon, and a bunch of other companies all use Foxconn just like apple.
What do you mean?
I'm not sure what you are unclear on, the statement above was about human rights as in the conditions of Foxconn factories. Foxconn is the company that manufactures apple products. Apple has no control over Chinese government nor Foxconn but they get blamed for it.
This guy is spot on. It'd be like giving the government a key to your home, they'll walk in whenever they want.
If they restock my refrigerator then I might be OK with that
Worse - it's like giving the government a robot that stands at your door every day and opens the door for them when they do their special knock. Other people can overhear this knock - that's when every house can get broken into by criminals.
its scaring what if some spy is working in the fbi etc
For a second I thought the EFF was one of those famous Wozniak pranks... not sure that the audience knew what they were clapping to.
Brilliant Man .
didn't really know how to feel about this until now lol
THE GREAT WOZ HAS SPOKEN!
What about the human rights of the families and friends of those lost, and the rights of those who could be hurt or killed by not handing over this information? it's one phone! Not everyone!
such a nice ending and not the " subscribe" speech
He looks like a more smug Chuck from Better Call Saul
The FBI is almost hilarious in this case. They're acting like little kids asking their parents to give them ice cream, if that ice cream was the parents' security system, and if their parents' security system was part of their life savings.
woz is the guy that i will hang out with, hes a real nice guy and down to earth and a genius
Conan is like, "I went to Harvard... you're an effing genius"
the brains behind the early days of Apple. Steve Jobs was the front man, much respect for Wozniak!
I share a birthday with this man: August 11th
Gotta love the Woz!
Great man, Woz.
Why didn't they upload more of the interview? The Woz is one of the most interesting people they've had on the show and all we get is a 86 second snippet with one short statement.
Tbh I forgot he was still alive. Legend
after watching this on TV and watching this on youtube no words can describe this man he is a genius but I bet anybody could talk to the sky and have a great conversation he just seems like an all and all good guy but behind that persona he is a genius in very very computer savvy
I love Conan but, he seemed kinda dismissive on this. At the end Woz was starting to get really into what they were talking about and it seemed as if Conan was trying to cut him off. I understand they may have run out of time and had to move on but, if that's the case when you know that the time is limited don't ask an in depth question which requires a long answer.
+Travis Van Keuren Yeah I wish they had a full on conversation about it. Steve is the perfect guy to do that with.
The great and powerful Woz has spoken!
The only backdoor I want open is the one my girlfriend will never give.
He should have been on Bill Maher to present his counter argument to the former director of NSA last week.
I don't doubt any of that. Not an iPhone user. Real criminals use burner phones, so obviously all these NSA tactics only work to spy on law abiding citizens.
+derty qwerty 42N To a certain extant this is correct. But the NSA just shut down phone metadata collection. So in other words they did but their trying to shut down most of it because of consumer distrust after paris attacks
Thanks for Breakout Woz!
Folks, If you enjoy the freedom of open market on the PC where you get to choose your builds and service, Mr. Wozniak is the person to thank. He is the grandfather of all PC.
He's smart as hell
If steve was in charge, it wouldnt of been called apple, but hamburger.
Steve Wozniak reminds me of Chuck from Better Call Saul
+bkmbkmbkm12 Have you seen Better Call Saul?
+bkmbkmbkm12 It is a really great show :) Glad you see it now haha.
So Apple says they think its unethic to do it but they NEVER said it isnt possible to do it ;)
Because its not impossible
Once a week, Waz visits the grave of Jobs. He leans down, next to the grave and whispers, "Acknowledge the Apple 2 team", and every time Woz hears a whisper saying, "No."
Woz is so freaking awesome! My fave tech guy ever :) Truly wants tech to be for the people and to help society as a whole advance together.
The scary thing is that apparently for most people it´s a `tough debate`. To me that´s like feverishly debating if we should or shouldn´t drink boiling oil. Debating is nice, but the answer is no, no you shouldn´t.
+Chrizzie 78 without debatin why you shouldn't drink oil, what is oil, at what temperature oils boil you are a fool to answer that question - nothing scary about analyzing the question before answering it. How FBI formed the question to Apple, what declared intentions are, why verizon cooperation is different to Apple cooperation, what is the difference between the conspiracy theory and reasonable criticism - all questions the Woz didn't think about before claiming allegiance to Apple
+Xenial Xerus
Look B.A., I didn't state one should not debate. I stated the concern I have over either my sanity or those of (some) others, as one of both has to be in serious peril regarding the feelings I harbor towards this debate.
Chrizzie 78 in other words if neither of participants in the debate are scared of boiled oil then you'll reject all the evidence that proves boiled oil is safe - that's exactly means demanding to stop the debate because you know you are wrong
+Xenial Xerus
No if neither participants is scared of things that are so obviously dangerous to me, like shooting yourself in the face with a sawn off shotgun or drinking boiling oil, then either two things are dreadfully amiss: my sanity or theirs. Again, thinking and analyzing if driving a nail through your eye would hurt is nice, and in it's abstraction important, but the manner in which it is conducted can warrant genuine concern i.e. done so with serious intent to drive said nail through said eye.
+Xenial Xerus
If someone gave you a pot of molten iron and said "Here, drink this, it's great !" you would go "Hmm, I wonder if it is a great... hmmm, would it be harmful? Hmmm, wait, wait, let me get my thermometer first." To me, the FBI's request is on par with "Here, drink this pot of molten iron."
Right on, Woz.
He reminds me of chuck from better call Saul!!!!!
That makes sense
This guy looks like 'The Cowardly Lion' in the face.
Someone asked him if he had an Apple I motherboard and he said he has one somewhere in storage. I could literally retire if I had one of those.
Hope the price isn't too high when the bill arrive 'cos of that decision.
The Woz is always right. Love him!
Steve Wozniak was a genius back in the days he is the real brains of Apple way back in the days
if you think governments cant access any phone at any time at any place (cameras, mics, everything)... your ignorant..
Well said Steve Wozniak
The great and powerful Woz
All hail the almighty Woz
