- I made a Pirate Ship yard decoration for Halloween! This is part 1 of a 2 part series. Part 1 shows me creating the mast and look out point, which is called the Crow's Nest. I put it up on the other side of my backyard deck.
I made it out of PVC pipe, acrylic paint, canvas drop cloth, rope, rebar, a black bucket and some dollar store skeleton crossbones.
Coming soon is Part 2, where I make the walls of the ship and light it up at night.
I really enjoyed the whole "behind the scenes" feel to this video. It's nice to see the process, warts and all, rather than just a cleaned-up tutorial. Moving on to Part 2 now :-)
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it.
You could leave the structure up year round and grow some runner beans up it in the spring/summer
great job!
Thank you!
Nice job. I used my flag pole to create a pirate Mast and sails.
Thanks! And smart use of your existing flagpole. One less thing to set up and make sturdy.
@@thenerdsfinest8450 yes, wish I could post a picture for you here since I don't have a website to direct you too. I may be able to post it as an idea in Pinterest if I can figure out how to do it.
This looks amazing!
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I bought the skull cross bones and black bucket at Dollar Tree.
What size pvs pipe did you use? 2 in?
Yes, 2 inches. Sorry I took so long to get back to you.
