@@Goldpug That's a pontoon boat, every thing on that deck is well above the water line leaks won't matter up there at all even if they ever use it to the extent that it would start to rot.

You also have to make sure the weight you're adding to the boat isn't displacing more water and causing uneven listings while sailing. Lastly, that wood is going to soak in water extremely fast and be useless within a few years, 'depending on usage'.
