- Rich Firato is just a normal guy with the heart of a pirate. The man known simply as 'The Benevolent Pirate' created a real-life Pirates of the Caribbean in his backyard to share his love of treasure, adventure, and pirates. He has dozens of skeletons, hundreds of handmade displays and a 1/3 scale pirate ship all in the backyard of his Morgan Hill, CA home.
