Nice work. Always enjoy seeing other pirate cannons. Sometimes I wonder why I add so much detail to my props when most people don't notice. I think I do it for myself.
This wasn't meant to be a detailed tutorial on how to build one. I was just showing what I had done. The ends are pieces of 3/4" plywood cut to fit and glued on.
Only 4 months away! My neighbor came over and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was working on Halloween stuff and he said, "In June?" I replied, "Yeah, I know, I should have started earlier!"
Thanks for sharing and for sharing your DIY still shots, this is another build I will be working on.... Now you know why I will be ordering your two videos on Pirates. What are the cannon carriage measurements and cannon if you don't mind sharing.
The concrete form tube came in a 5' length so I just used it at that. The gun carriage is 16" x 16" x 30" or something like that. It's stored away right now so I don't have it in front of me to measure.
Good question. It's been a while since I built it so I can't remember exactly. I actually sold this prop so I don't have it anymore. I think the cannon tube was 8". The frame is 12" high, 12" wide and 24" long... I think! :-)

Happy Halloween 🦇 Zambie October Tuesday 312023
Always love how they leave out a ton of information on how to build something.
How are the ends of the barrel made?

@@digitalpressworks ok. Thank you. Awsum job!
Looks spectacular!! How did you assemble the entire thing? It would've been helpful if you would've included the making video from scratch..
Well done! Thanks for sharing!
good for indoors..but definitely have to waterproof it for outside use
Could use PVC as an alternative
I love the canon, would you mind sharing the dimensions of the cart?
Thank you
It's about 16" high x 18" wide x 30" long, something like that.
Cool thanks for the measurements...
awesome looking forward to October

so love it nice work !! HFL!!
Cool perfect for zombie pirates
Very nice cannon. QUestion doesn't the fog machine get really hot under the cannon and could start it on fire ?
It does get warm, but it isn't enclosed under there so the heat can dissipate. I haven't had any problems.
Big time RUSH
What did you use for the front part of the cannon barrel?
As I said in the video, it's made of cardboard concrete forms
Wait, maybe I misunderstood your question. The very front is just a piece of thin paneling type wood cut out with a jig saw.
How long is the cannon?
Good question. I sold this prop a few years ago so I don't have it on hand to measure. Probably about 4-5 feet.
@@digitalpressworks that’s what thought, but I thought I would ask. Thank you for replying and answering.
Hi Matt,
what is the diameter of the cannon and what are the dimensions of the wooden frame?

@@digitalpressworks thank you for your message, it's a nice cannon really nicely made, we also want to make one for the halloween with pirates theme.
