    Nice work. Always enjoy seeing other pirate cannons. Sometimes I wonder why I add so much detail to my props when most people don't notice. I think I do it for myself.

    Always love how they leave out a ton of information on how to build something.
    How are the ends of the barrel made?

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  Год назад

      This wasn't meant to be a detailed tutorial on how to build one. I was just showing what I had done. The ends are pieces of 3/4" plywood cut to fit and glued on.

    Looks spectacular!! How did you assemble the entire thing? It would've been helpful if you would've included the making video from scratch..

      It's about 16" high x 18" wide x 30" long, something like that.

      Only 4 months away! My neighbor came over and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was working on Halloween stuff and he said, "In June?" I replied, "Yeah, I know, I should have started earlier!"

    Thanks for sharing and for sharing your DIY still shots, this is another build I will be working on....
    Now you know why I will be ordering your two videos on Pirates.
    What are the cannon carriage measurements and cannon if you don't mind sharing.

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  7 лет назад

      The concrete form tube came in a 5' length so I just used it at that. The gun carriage is 16" x 16" x 30" or something like that. It's stored away right now so I don't have it in front of me to measure.

    Very nice cannon. QUestion doesn't the fog machine get really hot under the cannon and could start it on fire ?

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  6 лет назад

      It does get warm, but it isn't enclosed under there so the heat can dissipate. I haven't had any problems.

    What did you use for the front part of the cannon barrel?

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  2 года назад +1

      As I said in the video, it's made of cardboard concrete forms

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  2 года назад +1

      Wait, maybe I misunderstood your question. The very front is just a piece of thin paneling type wood cut out with a jig saw.

  • @davidleno4652

    How long is the cannon?

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  Год назад +1

      Good question. I sold this prop a few years ago so I don't have it on hand to measure. Probably about 4-5 feet.

    Hi Matt,
    what is the diameter of the cannon and what are the dimensions of the wooden frame?

    • @digitalpressworks
      @digitalpressworks  3 года назад

      Good question. It's been a while since I built it so I can't remember exactly. I actually sold this prop so I don't have it anymore. I think the cannon tube was 8". The frame is 12" high, 12" wide and 24" long... I think! :-)
