just swooped up a 2008 FJ from a local dealership that had it in shop for less than a few days. its a bit ugly but fixable. when i got there i looked underneath and the frame/exhaust HAS ABSOLUTELY ZERO RUST/WEAR it is insane how awesome it is. they are giving me new tires and a brand new windshield. the paperwork is done and im waiting for the call to come pick it up. i am beyond excited to build mine. only 105k miles to boot! i feel for 18k i found an absolute GEM
I bought my 2014 in York, PA and am just starting to get into cars. This is an inspiring vid! I hope someday to have the knowledge and tools to do my own work. You made the front bumper look so easy! Awesome truck.
I still have my 2007 2wd FJ just got it back from Hail Damage repairs. Had major orange peel from factory paint . Thanks Hail !!! Your video just really inspired me to lift and a few other things, great job dude !!! Thank you for the video and your explanations !!! Peace
Brother, well done on the video, and the FJ looks great. My favorite parts was the bumper, and getting a glance as to how much work that would be. Subscribed!
Great job and thank you for the vid! Which Eiback lift kit is this specifically and how has it been since its install? Is the lift still even, are there any creaking noises and does the fj lean on the driver's side?
How are you liking the Eibach suspension? did the front shocks come with the springs installed? Does it work well off-road? Are you running 285/70R17's? looking good! keep up the good work!👍
Best thing you can do for your truck is clean the frame and soray it with fluid film or something similar. Do not use restolium or por15 at this point.
Hey Man - Really liked the way you installed all the things to the beast. How can I get in touch with you. I have couple of questions as I am planning to buy one. Thx...
@@initiatedrift Yes they are. Have do know what all the additional plugs on the wiring harness are by location inside? I have a 2010 I stripped the inside. So I can add kill mat and re wire the stereo etc. I found out I've got the auxiliary plugs for sonar auxiliary roof lights, subwoofer and steering wheel. I've got one last plug in the back on the left corner below the lights that I don't know what it is.
Fellow FJ rat here …. nice video 👊🏼 Ya got some skills …. you mentioned ya got leather seat covers ~ I thought they looked tight. Can you share what they are & how ya like them as well as rough price. ✌🏻
Did those heated seats come with the leather? Or you put leather on separately. I don’t need heated here in Ariz desert, but that leather is trick !! Appreciate seeing the process if you covered them yourself and I could do my stock (non-heated) seat. SUPER job on this build. Subscribed !! Cheers ( 2014 FJC with 3”, Bilstean’s etc up to TRD level, with factory crawl control. ) 🤙
@@StewsReplay I’m honestly not sure what a shop would charge. But somewhere in that range, maybe more depending how the install goes. Nothing I would really say to avoid. Just know other suspension components may need to be replaced as the install is being done. For example ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, cv axles.
Great work with one major problem - you failed to address the rust - a serious problem that should have been sorted and resprayed. I for one would have focused on upgrading spark plugs to Bosch Platinum as I get 20% better fuel consumption. Upgrading the battery and wipers, some mechanical work before all these needless cosmetic changes...truly each to their own BUT the bloody thing needs to run first no good looking the part in the driveway when it's covered in rust which is an FJ trait. The bumper was brilliant!
It’s runs perfectly fine. Has a brand new battery and wipers as well. That little stuff wasn’t the intent of the video. It was to show the transformation after a lift, wheels, tires, etc. People don’t wanna watch me change wipers and spark plugs

Solid work. Make sure to treat that rust sooner than later. My 07 looked similar and leaving it too much longer would’ve left me with a bad frame.
So dope!!! Thanks for not doing a five minute talk track! Love seeing the progress!
Most impressive. Skills and video was no fluff. I literally want an FJ way more than 15 minutes ago
Thank you!
I love all the 40s laying around. You remind me of a younger version of me
Projects that need to get done!
Badass! I can’t believe you like made that bumper and it looks great! Great work man!
Great job! I have an 07 AT. The only thing I didn’t care for are the graphics. But I loved the video and your explanations.

Sweet! Your 4k would cost me 8k at a shop, or more! Nice work, great skills!!
Looks great, like the rims, the height is just right, that's the look I'm looking for, good job

Looking good , I like it. I have a 2013 and love it
looking forward for the rest of your build. Keep us all posted.
i wish i had this talent. Would've saved me a fortune.
Gotta learn by just doing it. One thing at a time.
Fucking awesome truck . Respect my man for those upgrades. She won’t let you down.

Mate .. u have a long way to go ... good luck on ur journey .... all the best and enjoy ... I know I did with my beast from the east FJ. Cheers
Nice work on the bumper/ bulbar
I can imagine it must have cost a fortune. These things are worth their weight in gold lately
I actually got a decent deal and paid $11500
Looks good, mine’s black and white like yours. Looking forward to see the transformation. Oh, try to include prices. Thumbs up!
What bumper kit is that ? Nice build, I’m building an fj too, that thing would look sweet with some bushwhacker fender flares👍🏻 , great work.
Great job!!!
I envy you have this nice SUV!!

Hello, excellent work, I hope to be able to do something similar, congratulations. Blessings.
Hey man, great video and a great build. Looking forward to some adventure videos with it in the future. Cheers 🤘

Very nice! Love the fake Mello Bumper. Would you be willing to make another?
Thanks for sharing looks Awesome!
Nice. I need you to do mine. You do good work

Looking
Good! Does it have a subwoofer in the back ? I have a 2008 fj that looks similar. I love the white graphic decals too.
Nice work man! That FJ looks sick.
Nice! Looks great. I just got the same FJ, but not going that aggressive yet. It mainly pulls my Bass boat.
Nice job mate ,

Nice work. Looks awesome.
The exhaust, is it assembled with clamps or does it require welding for all the pieces. Thank you.
Amazing job thanks bro for sharing
Looking forward to know abt heated seats setup and work
Heated seats are from Dorman

Great build!
you do very good job could you help me with the size of the tires I want exact ones to yours where did you buy them
Well done lad 👍🏻
Nice house.. you have your own forklift and double bay garage?
Nice work are you car FJ sons great👍
Dope build, bro!
Awesome job 👍🏻 What a transformation.
Thanks!
$900 sandblast will make the undercarriage look brand new, that rust looks like its about to go through
What is the lift at the front and the back in cm
And what size of tires do you have there is it 315 or 285 ?
good looking fj
Great job.. keep going bro
Good job man!
awesome job man!
Great Job!
Good job
I love it
That bumper looks great, we’ll done! How much did the kit cost?
I believe it was around $600
Did you end up doing the one and a half inch wheel spacers you said you were considering?
nice build
Where did you get your front number from
Coastal off-road
GREAT JOB!!💪🏾👍🏾
Any links to your leather seat covering? Or did you have them upholstered?
Very cool.
It's amazing how much better they look lifted.
How much did ONLY the Lift and tires cost ? What about having someone do the lift for you?
Tires were about $1100 for 5. Obviously depends what tire you buy. And the lift kit was around $600
@@initiatedrift Not bad.
Would the install at a shop be about $600 more?
Things to avoid with lift kits?

This looks great!
My priority would be to get under the truck with some wire brushes and wheels to scrub off that rust and then coat with with some PB Surface Shield.
I don’t own the FJ anymore
nice work
Nice job!!!
nice project
Looks great!
great video Corey!!
Thanks!
Looks maaaaad love it
"Budget" build?
Sick built man. Thank you for sharing your video. What is the name of the welder you used? there are like three types and need to get one like yours.
great job

Do not use any other spark plug other than stock oem. It’s a standard plug. Replace every 30k. This truck Denso.
Great video and cool build. Makes me want to do some stuff to my FJ. How do you like riding on the Eibachs?
Nice video 👏
That bumper looks great .
What tire size and wheels are you using ? I have a stock FJ , I want to upgrade it bit.
