Question: people think about expensive gem material and I am guessing that most people just assume if the watch crystal is sapphire, it must be special or exotic. Fact is, in many cases, a sapphire crystal is relatively cheap and no shortage of supply. What finer point am I missing?
You are missing the entire point to be honest :D It is all just about durability. Sapphires on watches are grown in lab. They are not expensive or exotic. They cost more than mineral, that is why many cheap watches have just a mineral crystal. Mineral is easy to scratch, sapphire is very very difficult to scratch.
@@matejsvigir1449 well, depends. Crystals come in different sizes and thicknesses. I would love to see how you break a 2mm sapphire on a 36mm watch for example :D

That quick release system should be on all bracelets.
:D I so wish..
I've been eyeing this watch for a while. I like the white/silver dial version but this one on your video also looks really good.
beautiful watch, I reviewed the blue one... that sapphire glass is rad
I kinda regret that I didn't pick the green one with the golden bezel. Looks amazing as well.
@@TomasWatchReviews That green and gold looks good too but the clash of the gold with the steel rices on the rice beads bracelet was a no no for me
