Like it when you sometimes give a quick explanation when you do the decals, it makes it more personal and I like that. Shows what thinking outside the box can look like.
Love these old van models and the custom color scheme on this really jumps out at you. I think that nameplate on the side to the front may be "Chateau", one of the trim levels, but I thought that only came on the passenger versions of the van. Again, it'd be nice to see some kits of modern day vans on the market even though the custom van scene isn't what it was in the 1970s to the best of my knowledge, except in Japan.
Hey Chris, very nice job on this kit, great paint job and I really like the purple chassis . I appreciate how you always say to build your model the way you want to, I catch a lot of crap about the way I build some of my models, I always thought modeling was supposed to fun! You are an inspiration to me and I thank you!!
Great build sir. Thinking of using colorshift paints from Green World stuff on it. Like a pshycadelic show van, but still with the fanta decals on it. Like a limited 1000 th van edition. BTW build the 55 chevy turbo on 1-16 scale like you did a while ago. Detailed it to the max. And was a awesome kit for a very nice price $50,- about here in Spain. Ordered yesterday the 55 cabrio and the Nomad. Great kits to fool around with. And a very nice weekend to all the builders and vieuwers out there
This particular kit has a very nice representation of the 70's 351w engine.currently buying the last version of it I like the custom van decals in that one much better.cool kit tho
Snoopy wanta Fanta Ford Custom Van... And I hope A4 in South Korea gets one, and does a really life like version too! Oh, Thank you OH SO MUCH, to South Bend and Shizuoka!!! I'll ❤ you guys for KEEPS, FOREVER...
My wife and I enjoy watching your videos every weekend.. she was wondering if you could do a build of the older 1978 Firestone pickup .. since no one else has yet to do a good build video of it
When Coca Cola swallows up a brand (pun intended) anyway they know how to market FUN ! This was a FANTA tactic build. Way to go ! ! ! Thanks, Chis, for sharing.
not sure but I seem to remember that emblem you are talking about says "chapeau"---for some unknown reason I seem to remember that being referred to as a type of ford van from that era--tried to find something on the inner web but came up with a blank--now mind you this is just something that popped up in my fuzzy brain--could be wrong--and yes I know "chapeau" is French for hat---
ahha. found evidence that Ford did make a Chapeau van around 1977 found photos of one that appears to be two wheel drive and one that was a window van dont know how long they were made though
Very nice van with a beautiful paintjob. I like the interieur simple an clean. Only the purple chassis is a bit disturbing. I don't think that anyone would paint a chassis this way because nobody would normaly see it. Two little mistakes i found. compaired to the box art, you instaled the rear triangular windows the wrong way. the peak of the triangular should point forward not backwards... but overall awesome result.
It's also the AMT Ford Vantom van plus all the other Ford vans. They all share the same parts on the same sprues. You can build identical stock van in any of the Ford van models.
Sunday morning with coffee and hpiguy! Everytime I think the internet is our downfall, you remind me to celebrate it!
I'm glad you can find some enjoyment in the madness.

✌Love building the custom vans!! ☮
STYRENE ADDICTS... love it...Thanks Chris.
Outstanding video and presentation
Very cool! Round 2 loves this kit. I think it's the 4th version in the past 5 years😅
Nice job on the tri-tone paint job! Love the Fanta graphics, nice variation on Round2’s Coke license. Thanks Chris for the review! 😎
That is an absolutely fantastic Fanta van build! Great paint job, love that custom chassis in the purple! Definitely love where you took this build!
Thanks! That van was a ton of fun to build.
"Chateau" 4:28
The elite Ford line lol.
@ Right? Why not Montague?
You beat me to it but I think that designation was for the passenger deluxe version with windows
That's what I came here to say chateau pronounced shattoe.
Mabey that van is Canadian
Sweet build, I like the way it came together. Nice paint job and decal work.
Appreciate that, it was a fun one to build!
This looks really good - love the bright colors of Fanta.

Nicely done Chris. That one groovy van.
Pity it doesn't taste as good as European fanta, absolutely no corn syrup or anything red and yellow numbers
Looks great!
Great video Chris, keep em coming I'll keep watching

I don't have that kit, but I have done it's mini truck counterpart.

Nice job, but I expect those kits’ll be a hit at Ollie’s next summer.
sweet job chris i drank a lot of this soda back in the early 70s o h yeah groovy man
i commend you on having the patience to put together some of those older models. Every time i try to one i just get frustrated that nothing lines up.
So cool. 👍

Thank you for the video
Great job like always buddy
love it
Nice work Chris, what do you do with all the models you build? do you give them away or just store them on display somewhere.
Give away a lot, store the rest but some get displayed here and there.
@@hpiguy 👍Keep up the good work. I enjoy seeing the models you build.
If I’m not mistaken the only other build of the Ford Econoline kit you’ve done was the cruising van kit.
And the Surfin' Van with all those cool decals and surfboards. Thanks!

Yeah!!! You should explain why you do what you do on your models!!! So we know the difference from yours & how they have it set up…
What was the tan paint you used for the interior?
Fanta was brought to life in 1941 in Nazi Germany due to a trade embargo. They came up with different flavors because of the embargo.
Chris how do you make your decals release from the backing paper so easily
Round2 decals release almost instantly, they slide off very nicely.
Where do you get your white spray paint? I never can get a good can
Chsteau is a Canadian Econoline van
It’s just a trim level…not a special Canadian thing.
When you do the spray cans, can you hear the music?
No, that's laid over it during editing. :)
Can someone tell me if Ollie's is a good place to find kits ?...I see one is coming to town
I've been to mine that just opened and so far it's only stocking Atlantis kits. Maybe they will add more later.
ahha. found evidence that Ford did make a Chapeau van around 1977 found photos of one that appears to be two wheel drive and one that was a window van dont know how long they were made though
leave the cap off of super glue, the tip will not dry and glue runs back in to tube....Tip from an another you tube modeler....
oops mistake thats Chateau not Chapeau means "house" in French since I dont speak French it all sounds the same to me
Were did he get the tape at I want some
He gave you the name (Washi tape) and a place where you can find it (craft store). It’s pretty easy to google.
I've seen it at WalMart on the craft aisle. I'll pick up a roll on my next visit.
ford econoline chateau

It's the old Coca Cola van😢😢😢
Yeah that's how the model companies try to make their money back and earn a profit so they can make more kits for us😮
It's also the AMT Ford Vantom van plus all the other Ford vans. They all share the same parts on the same sprues. You can build identical stock van in any of the Ford van models.
It could be built as a creepy white van.
It's... CHATEAU....
Ah orange fanta an Chris Chan Sonichu classic
