    Just a small note, frag/HE rounds can also destroy radios (and incredibly fast), that way you don't waste AP in case you have to fight some armor

      If you are running a t-72 your he rounds are important for shooting down habs. And frag provides minimal structure damage. Ap is the way to go in t-72s.

      HE used to be the fastest way to take down radios, but it's been changed so that AP does more damage to radios. HE is still the ammo for any other emplacements / fortifications.

    Distance measuring is ALWAYS in the center of the screen
    UAV cannot be destroyed with he/heat rounds, including ZU-23-2, but can be destroyed with any direct damage projectile starting from 12.7.
    If you are fixing in FOB repair station and see UAV above you - IMMEDIATELY shoot it down and move away from the repair station. Enemy might have called an air strike on you.
    Pretty much all ATGMs can one shot an ammo rack but few of them are not capable to penetrate 5 tier armor.
    TOW - most of the times able to penetrate 5 tier
    Kornet - some of the times tier 5
    Konkurs - can’t penetrate tier 5
    Maluytka - can’t penetrate tier 5 but high damage per shot
    Abrams has fastest reload speed (for some reason, I think developers just like it and made it OP which actually doesn’t make any sense gameplay and realistic wise) of 6 seconds. T-72B3/T-72S, Challenger, Leopard have 8.3 seconds reload. T-62 - 12 seconds.
    Most powerful tank cannon is T-72’s, capable of penetrating Abrams’s ammo rack from front.
    Least powerful T-62, can penetrate Abrams from front ONLY in the cannon.
    T-72B3’s ATGM is a round loaded into the cannon, you can’t switch to it fast. Fly distance is around 1000 meters, it just falls after that.
    Always try to pick with only turret sticking out. Best tank to do that - Leopard. THICC TURRET can only be penetrated from the side.
    DO NOT GO IN THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT IN TANK. YOU *WILL* DIE

    • @Catoonz
      @Catoonz 2 года назад

      Some more tips:
      Maluytka ATGM will go up after you shoot because of the recoil it makes,rocket follows your guide. Fly distance approximately 1000 meters.
      When playing on BMP-1 have your HEAT round loaded, so you can shoot enemy IFV with it and shoot ATGM after that. Be sure to keep distance, because BMP-1 can’t do ANYTHING to armor when it closer than 100 meters.
      If you are in tank and you know that enemy team doesn’t have an active tank, keep HEAT rounds loaded so you can shoot both infantry and armor.
      Challenger’s Squash round is capable to penetrate BMPs.
      Artillery can damage armor
      Be aware of insurgency and militia IED drones and motorbikes
      It takes 4 IEDs to guaranteed destruction of HAB and any vehicle. If you’re on the drone just DON’T smash into the vehicle, it will be destroyed and the vehicle will have time to run from explosion

  • @whoisgtsdk

    One more strat to throw into the mix, don't underestimate playing possum (playing dead). If you are the final gunner hold-out in a tracked IFV on a contested battlefield (especially one in the open); just take your hands off the stick for a second and let people think the vehicle is now abandoned. They will switch to focusing on infantry tactics again and give you the chance to surprise them with enfilading HE fire after a minute or two of inactivity. This can be the deciding factor in a fight as the sudden loss of the enemy's front line creates a large opening for your team to counter-attack, including a chance for your crew to regroup, repair, and retreat to rearm.
    This also works to a smaller extent in light vehicles as well. If your humvee or mrap gets lit up by a tiger and you're the sole survivor, simply release all controls and hit the gunner seat. The natural unsteered drift of the vehicle may give the enemy confidence they killed everyone while you charge the machine gun and start to return fire. In these situations, visualize there their crew are at in the vehicle and use the AP nature of these larger machineguns take out the crew (staring with their gunner) instead of trying to blow up their vehicle since they will already have a damage advantage on you.
    Note: these methods rely on you being in a relatively open area, ideally supported to some extent by friendly infantry. If you are deep behind enemy lines, or in dense foliage/urban environments where combat engineers and AT can easily flank or crawl to you, it may already be too late for you.

  • @jackjohn2733
    @jackjohn2733 2 года назад

    You can repair in the direction the gun is aiming. Over pressure doesn’t kill that close. It’s only when you are in front of the muzzle. The issue arises when you are shooting HE or frag at enemies. If you hit a tree next to you or clip the ground you will kill your crew. But with ap you have nothing to worry about because ap doesn’t do damage to anything it doesn’t touch. A lot of specifics when it comes to armor.

    • @A_Honcho
      @A_Honcho  2 года назад

      Unfortunately in Squad, OP will still take an effect. I know this because I've lost count how many times I've killed my crew in the past 😂

      @@A_Honcho that is wrong. simply put. your gunner can shoot in whatever directions he wants when you are right next to the vehicle. Its bad information. A good tip is to explain why you're telling your crew to do something so they understand. If your crew understands why your telling them to do something then they're more likely to do it. It also helps to make sure they don't mess up.
