Fantastic question Sinni89. Although it's important to be able to execute each technique, it's how you use them together that will make your scratching interesting, musical, and your own style. There's infinite ways for a turntablist to express themselves over a beat, in the same way a rapper can with words. Remember, scratching is a language and any language takes practice to become fluent. I'm trying to give everyone a headstart in my tutorials by showing the techniques...
The record may need a little nudge forward when you're cutting really fast to counter the momentum of being span backwards. You hand also needs to stay on the record until it is ready to play forwards, otherwise it will carry on spinning backwards longer than you want it to. Try not to push the record too hard or the sound will be sped up and sound distorted. With practice, you'll find the right amount of force to use. Remember, when you're cutting fast, the record is being pulled backwards
I love the way you explain your tutorials. the fact that you use one record or drop helps out a lot you have no idea. I searched all over to find good tutorials. Veiwing you tutorials steped up man Djing skills!
Thank you!! I'm just starting and your way of explaining makes it SO EASIER! First of your videos that I'm watching, old one with that, but definitely will go through others :)
DJ Angelo Just want to say thank you so much for making these vids available. I've started on my scratch journey and been learning alot from your tutorials. Mad Respect for you making this available to help others. Thank you!

Ive never seen a video on youtube thats made the processes of scratching so clear to me :) The combinations section is a stroke of genius with the titles.
