Having some clear exercises to practice is huge. This series is the only content I've found thus far that's as helpful. I will be sharing this content far and wide. Thank you!
(Also I have ideas for putting together study aids for this; the Vic Firth site had a great set of exercises for drums, I think you could do exactly the same thing with this content).

Nicely done! I also find that handling vinyl with clean fingers can be slippy, like when you try n skin up just after you've washed your hands and it slips on the paper - moisturiser/hand cream helps with this, or a bit of spit. Lol.

if your deck has s-shaped tone arm & a cartridge w/ a head shell try turnin your cartridge facing out at a 45 degree angle. loosen the cartridge enuf to turn it then tighten. adjust the tone arm height, and weight as needed. and set the anti-skate at zero or set it to the middle so it doesnt pull in or push out. if you prefer the other style needle then get a headshell set up for a straight arm. if you have a straight arm im not sure wuts up, you might have several problems if not a big problem.

    YO!
You get tremendous respect points from me for still being active on this channel over a decade after this video has been released. I've actually been seeing your videos in my recommended for a while now but this is the first one I watched.
If you don't mind answering, what's your perspective on scratching on S arms vs straight arms? Was their ever a turntable you used that had an S arm that performed similarly to a straight without the sound quality drawbacks that a straight normally has?
Asking this because my RP7000mk2 has an S arm and I am skipping a little. Could also just be my hand, I'm used to a controller.
    PEACE!
