Just picked up a couple decks for the first time in 15 years! Gonna love getting back into it!
Nice! Happy learning 🙌
this is far is the best scratching tutorial on youtube
Angelo's crabs are insane. Sharp & clean as hell. Nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
i am scratching dince ´89 and i have met a lot of DJs in all this time. Most DJ did it but they couldn´t really explain what they do. DJ Angelo really broke the technique down like as detailed as i have never seen before!!! i bow before the master!!
2021, still the best videos to learn how to scratch. Thanks!
🥳
I’m trying
These old videos are so nostalgic for me!!

Great vid yet again. Merry Christmas Angelo
These tutorials are so well explained and easy to follow , much love for taking the time to put them up :)
By far the best scratch tutorial on RUclips, god I can't wait to get my decks back from their repair centre and try out my new scratching carts!
Stabs and crabs together sounds fresh as f***
You break it down in great detail! I've been doing closed crabs over the years and wondered why my crabs been sounding so jagged and discontinuous while my other friends could crab so fluidly. I would try to crab faster but it didn't make a difference. Thanks for explaining this! My crabs are now sounding more like 3 click flares!!
nice tip on using the long sound last track
thank you man!!!for all the lessons that really are the best to learn the way of scratchin!!!really thanks!!!! agree with what you telling at the beginning of this vid.!!!!!! respect and suport

Man you are siccckkk. I really want to start all ths but if you buy a deck there's loads of other things you have to buy, if anyone knows any cost effective ways that would be really helpful.
Finally figured out how to do the crab scratch thanks to this video, I couldnt stop doin it for four hours straight now I have to eat some dominos and hopefully have enough energy to keep practicin it More!!!
@Aktarvata
I scratch crab too and I just use my thumb as the spring to pop it back open. But I'm still having some trouble getting it to sound tight. Just my insight
nice vids man,the open crab tuto has helpt me alot.peace
Niiice man! Clean crabs
Great tutorials
thanx for uploading this Tutorial =D
I got the Rane 12’s mk2 and Rane Seventy Two mixer 12 weeks ago. I can do baby scratch and fast transforms
so frustrating when my thumb doesn't want to be a spring.
excellent video as always djAngelo
you're grate mate keep it up!
Hi Angelo! Tell me please, why the movement of the thumb?
Is it easier and still called the crab scratch if you use 3 fingers instead?
Post more videos please!!!!
You are the best!!!
Great tutorials!
Now if only I had thumbs.
great tuition Ange
This guy's crabs sound like a chainsaw!

Would you say its best to have big or small hands when performing the crab technique?
hey dj angelo awesome tutorial but im having a problem for some reason when i try to do the scratch it sounds exactly like the two click flare has this ever happened to you?
was just scratching only using the mono stereo switch but thnx have more to learn
great tutorials, hope u do more now
Really good and detailed tutorial THUMBS UP!!
Another great Tut..
I have neglected and overlooked the closed crab technique..I think its because i skratch hamster and its more difficult to do that way..
On The other hand,The flaring crab(open fader) is so much easier hamster style..
nice swag! thanx 4 d help!
The best ..scratch I seen ..;)
thanks man
WE DEMAND MORE TUTORIALS! :))))) U are like master Yoda for us! :))
You're the best
Great video! you should open a dj university !!
Hey Angelo I love the videos they've helped me to make my scratches sound better but I have a question about the crab scratch. I scratch hamster style it's just easier for me but I'm finding that doing the crab hamster style is really hard any tips?
do you have some GOOD sounds to scratch in mp3.? love youre videos men, goodwork keep it up!
Which superseal thud rumble do you use? I cant find it...
whats the name of this vinyl?
Damn...this technique is TOUGH! I been trying to get it down for months on end but I'm still nowhere near as fast or precise as Angelo. This dude got himself some serious SKILLZ! Peace out...DJTrueSoul.
I scratch hamster is there any tips on that cos although you have talked this through really good I'm finding it harder to do the opposite way :s
Please help! I get it and understand it my problem is that I got way too much pressure with my thumb. Not sure how get a gentle touch...
can i do it starting by pointer finger and finish by little finger?
practice on your fingers mimicking the scratch w/o the fader and soon enough you will get the clicking down ..also heads up a lot of dj's use the ring finger the middle and lastly the index..its just easier.some peoples fingers aren't the same and may prove too hard to swipe all 4 fingers.hope that helps
I have a Mixars Cut MKII and i still cant make 3 or even the 4 sounds when i hit with fingers. Have to try and find the right curve adjustment. Shit is difficult.
get a dedicated scratch mixer, like a Ecler HAK series, a Rane, or that Technics.
amazing!
were you ever in dmc?
ur a ledge brov! thanks for the help
when i do closed crab, do i have to close the fader after each finger hits it?
I 2nd that, I would love to see a beat juggling tutorial as I'm really struggling with the beat juggling side of things. Can't wait for the next video!!!
Damn Angelo you just heart my comment from 10 years ago!!! 😂😂😂
((((((((((((can u connect serato to that mixer?
For scratching which mixer would you recommend, the vestax pmc 05 pro 3? Or a Rane 56s?
@DJAngeloUK
Hey Angelo, I have a little problem with this scratch technique:
I do the 4 finger movement with the crossfader (I am using a Vestax PMC 05 Pro 3), but i cannot hear 4 clear sounds, only about one, maybe two seperate sounds.crossfader is on his sharpest:
Can you, or maybe someone else here, tell what I am doing wrong ? (sry for shitty english)
Because I think that I have to move the crossfader too wide into the middle, so that it does't close before the next finger touches it
thx :)
u should upload one of mixing songs and beat juggling :)
i 3rd that, angelo make a beatjuggling tutorial!
9:03 sick..They sound just like jackhammers
i love uuuuuuuuu
