The reason russo and cornette are such polar opposite are russo just cared about the entertainment part of wrestling as cornette was more into the in ring product. Jim cornette is the human encylopedia of professional wrestling with time less true stories.
It would have been better but I imagine Russo would have found a way to ruin it. cibida1 LOL
Gotta be careful what you let into your ear holes while you sleep, friend. Fell asleep to Forensic Files a few nights ago and woke up thinking I'd murdered like 20 people. With an axe. And Antifreeze. And a 45. And butcher knife. And a hefty bag. And
That’s...oddly specific
lol hilarious that he throws in I went to WENDYS and had two triple cheeseburgers lol how do you remember your meal at a fast food restaurant while contemplating your future employment lol
He keeps notes on everything. You should see his written records.
wendy's is hos fave. he always has to throw in how many triple cheeseburgers he ate from wendy's. his arteries gotta be clogged than worse than my toilet after eating only 5 buffalo wings. no offense tho. i used to eat like that until i was diagnosed with the beetus. then i was like well dammit no more triple cheeseburgers😂😂😂😂oh well. diabetes isn't that bad. i mean like if the worse thing that happens is i gotta switch triple cheeseburgers for a side salad then fuck it ya know. life goes on. i'm healthy now. but i still get a little value menu wendy's double cheeseburger every so often. double value meal cheeseburger and small fries. not as good as the triple cheeseburger but oh well lol. still good
If you ate 2 triple cheeseburgers... You'd remember.
my take... the double chesseburger is the perfect ratio of meat:bread:vegetables.
Tarantula:a poisonous spider that could cause detriment to everything
Hey Jim this is dixie Carter
Am I the only one who saw the irony in that? 😂😂😂
It’s the damn truth
I think the "source" that said cornette was fired and yelled for pushing young was the stooge terry taylor himself.
God i was thinking that.
I've heard and read some things that lead me to believe that TT has been a "source" more than a few times, in a few different companies
It was, he confirmed on a later shoot with Sean Oliver
The goddamn plot point from law abiding citizen that russo put in there is just priceless, and an excellent point on his resume im sure.
54:20 "I hate to go into this much detail." This guy pulls out wrestling programs from the 80s and 90s to prove points all the damn time.
Brett Moore, that’s b/c James EC don’t play. You come at him w/ gaga. He comes at you with primary source document. Uhhuh!
Damn! 2 triple cheeseburgers? I can barely eat one and then I'm shitting my brains out before I swallow the last bite
That abyss paralyzed stick they did, is from an old episode of tales from the crypt
"Abra cadaver" with Jeff bridges is the name of the episode of tales from the crypt that russo riped off
Lou Diaz. You are absolutely right. Hoss
@@loudiaz1292 Beau Bridges.
@@jdgustofwinddance.7748 Your right.
The medication Russo couldn’t be bothered to look up is Succinylcholine, is muscle paralyzer that would also paralyzed the diaphragm which is the muscular end of breathing. Abyss would’ve died. They could’ve used the Name of the med (phonetic : SUCK-cee- no - ko- leen) To his childlike delight: SUCK LOL.
raw? what's that?
The Exorcist 3. The Gemini killer.
I'd pay to have Jim turn up at my home and rant about Russo, comedy gold 🤣🤣
Jim Cornette spit in Ed Ferarra's eye 😂 Cornette's a badass
Yes, it is known that Jim doesn't give a Fu*k! Plus the assh*le had it coming for the disrespect he showed Jim Ross.
Awweeeesomee!!
Bullshit. That fat bastard lies everytime he opens his big mouth.
David Brakefield No asshole
Trying to get corny to work with russo is like a teacher trying to get two kids who fight each other to be friends lol btw jeff jarrett is the teacher lol
28:45 Dude...just like that, huh? Like it's a snack or some shitz. Classic Triples are fuckin huge! 10 years ago, they were even bigger! Props, Jim Cornette. Props.
Stryker did a good job here. Asked the questions everyone wanted to hear the answers to and knew enough to keep quiet and let Jim just vent.
Who?
That’s Brian Last mate
@@fuckinatoadaso954 That's Matt. This is just audio, but there was a full video here with them.
@@davidleewrath6919 Oh okay thanks dude. I had no idea they literally sound identical to each other lmfao
@@fuckinatoadaso954 Brian sounds a bit cartoony at times.
Jim's such a great story teller
And a bigot
Jim cornette is so entertaining and really is one of the most knowledgeable ppl in the wrestling business. He worked in every promotion from the 80s til present day. He is one of the best bookers of his era but i really appreciate his old school southern based style but this is a new era and time as wrestling became sports entertainment. The reason russo and cornette are such polar opposite are russo just cared about the entertainment part of wrestling as cornette was more into the in ring product. Jim cornette is the human encylopedia of professional wrestling with time less true stories.
Cornette , Gary Hart and Bobby Heenan were best managers in Pro wrestling.
They SURE was the best ✌✌✌
You can't leave out Skandar Akbar. Him and Gary Hart are my all time managers.
Brian Neeley Also JJ Dillon
Wtf? No love for Slick. This post is racist af
#Kidding
#CalmDownFuckBoi
I legitimately wondered how much different things would have turned out if Jeff gave Cornette full creative control when he left.
Ikr? Could you imagine how different and possibly better things could have turned out?
@John Lorton depends who you ask i guess
It would have been better but I imagine Russo would have found a way to ruin it. Remember he was the one that called the network (it was either Destination America or Pop TV) and badmouth Dixie claiming she knew nothing and the company would not be a success unless he was running things which eventually led to the network dropping them.
@@revans100591 It was Pop TV that Russo did that with, I'm 90% sure. Russo has made a living, fucking talented/wealthy people over. Anyone who disagrees is a mark for the attitude era and needs to look at literally anything else he's done.
The blank has taken effect 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Ah yes, the Draconian poison!"
“I told him what I thought of him, in no uncertain terms”…. Would love to have been a fly on the wall for that.😂
The bankruptcy line is amazing.
I started watching tna when jim cornette got there and once he left it was never the same. Impact is dead
Same It was a decent product back then.
Whether you are a fan of Pro Wrestling or not, you have to agree that Jim Cornette is a fascinating personality.
Jim has a gift when it comes to talking, whether it's a wrestling promo, telling stories or trying to convince ppl that AEW sucks lol. He's up there with Heyman in that category, although I still think he's always a few years behind the rest of the wrestling industry but thats ok it's bc he knows so. I wish he could find a way to be happy or at least content as just an on screen talent for any of the bigger wrestling promotions today. It would be awesome
It's because wrestling SUCKS now, he hasn't told any lies. You'll just watch anything, that's the disconnect here lmao
AEW is especially bad, you're delusional if you think they've been great this entire run. Your drunk 😂
@@6ANUR34DT81SWWE is pretty good right now tbh, can't say I like AEW lol tho.
Just watch the last couple of years of WCW to see what happens when you leave Russo in charge. Russo has some good ideas but he needs to be under someone who understand the business and cam reign him in
Jason Key Just like how Vince McMahon reigned Russo in when he was employed with WWE.
anybody who says russo isn’t creative is ignorant but he should never be left unchecked like he was in wcw and tna and that’s not knocking the guy cause i personally love vince on screen underrated heel and i’ll give him credit for the good he’s responsible for and blame him for the bad shit he’s responsible for
@@96mrjones ;-----)
Well just like Corny has said before, for every 100 ideas Vinny Ru churns out, maybe 2 are good.
The rest are ridiculous and Jerry Springer trash TV bullshit.
Deadpool Jericho said it best Russo Throws ten things at the wall 1 sticks other 9 is the worst things ever
I could listen to this over and over again
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve listened to this. Definitely a go to video when I’m bored at work.
I'd love to sit and listen to corny for hours. Great stories......
Honestly working with morons in high positions is more of a common occurrence then you think. At my work place so much corruption and incompetency leaks into all aspects.
Good to hear Matt Stryker landed on his feet with another gig
This was YEARS ago
You know it's gonna be a good shoot when one of the first words out of Jim's mouth is "Russo"
The mighty all seeing eye of everything Wrestling: Jim Cornette
I’m not even a wrestling fan and this is the best stuff on youtube
I saw the length of the video and thought “yeah that seems about right” lol
I have to admit I want to see the Bill Ding character
Fictitious fucking poison gets me every damn time lolol
1:17:05. "..... then I spit in his fuckin eye." 🤣
The name Keith Mitchell in conjunction with WCW and TNA always amuses me. There was a 1970s era Shakespearean Actor named Keith Michell who was in a number of TV Productions. I am unsure if he ever worked with Sir Kenneth Olivier!😏😂B.W.
There always hasn’t to be run-ins doesn’t there? 😂😂
@9:50 is where they got the Eric Rowan story line
"..the BLANK has taken effect.."
😄😄😄
It's crazy to come back now in 2023 'n listen to 16:29. . . and it's even crazier that AEW is actually TNA 2.0 😂
I enjoyed this ramble. Thanks for posting!
I've been watching you since I was 11 and I've shared the gift of Jim cornette with every generation of my family like my mama used to say extra value is what you get when your managed by Jim cornette
It still pisses me off as a fan to see all the great Wrestling in NWA/TNA from 2002 - 2009, only to have it Wasted from Impact Wrestling from 2010-2012.
So Many Great Matches
So Many Great Wrestlers
So Many Great Memories
All pissed down the drain through Extreme Mismanagement and Extreme Negligence.
I miss TNA.
Rest in Peace to
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
Born in 2002
Died in 2012.
Such a Damn WASTE !!!!!
Yea I remember watching TNA as an alternative to WWE back in the mid and late 2000's as a kid in middle school/high school. I was hyped on it back then and thought they had potential but then stuff got pretty weird.
@@petersavonich123 I did the same thing but it felt kinda weird, finding out what TNA stood for outside of that one tv show. Only found out as an adult. =/
I STILL remember that wild ass brawl from that TNA.
Ahhh the days before Russo was "Shitstain". "Dickhead" doesn't quite hit the same lol
I miss L.A.X w/Konnan as manager...they worked well together and had great matches with Styles and Daniels
Listening to Cornette talk about how he thought that TNA was the best chance as an alternative or as someone to challenge WWE that will happen in his life time makes me even more interested and excited for All Elite Wrestling. Maybe Cornette was wrong.....
John Gronkowski well as of now they need some more big names to have a shot
And then six months after this post ... we’re all still waiting for AEW to get out of their own way & shoot for the Crown.
He wasn’t AEW sucks
AEW is blowing it big time!
AEW couldn't handle the pressure...
Psychiatric Dr. Stevie Richards was so bad it went all the way around the wheel back to good again.
CORNEY HAS HELPED ME STAY SANE DURING THIS PANDEMIC, THANKS MR. CORNETTE ☆☆☆☆☆
Staying sane isnt fun
Russo was a permanent fixture around Vinny Mack's ice hole. May sound like I am.being cold... actually I am being gracious.
Corny should be the narrator for Dark Side of the Ring if ever there will be Season 3
I love his podcasts and am hooked; but Jim has so much wisdom and skill to level up wrestling as it is now.
He's so good, he could make reading the dictionary exciting. Great storyteller.
@@scottsteel4230 Is it bad that I kinda want that now. lol. Him just commentating on words he finds. Idk why but that sounds hilarious.
I like that quick little Junk Yard Dog story.
Hardcore shit is entertaining, ECW is iconic in its own way
jim cornette is like one of the few that can call me an idiot and i would just take it respectfully due to how entertaining truthful and insightful he is growing up i hated the dood but as an adult i realize hes one of the most sane real people in wrestling lol
TNA had Jim cornette, Vince Russo, Jeff and Jerry Jarrett, Bruce Pritchard, Eric bischoff, hulk Hogan, Ed Ferraro and Dixie Carter and still failed. I see two names missing there ... Paul Heyman & Vince McMahon. Hmmmmmm? The only 2 that knows how to run things.
Heyman failed too
TNA hiring Bischoff and Hogan was the official end of TNA. The way these two ran the company to the ground was some remarkable stuff.
Well they still on the air and still have a company, They tried to be be number 1 and failed miserably
Before reading the description, I thought it was a young Brian Last interviewing Jim.
It’s kinda hilarious that Vince Russo lasted so long and did nothing for the business
Not a surprise at all. There are a lot of people in corporate world who know how to pander to bosses and convince various people that their horrible ideas are great.

So Jim Cornette was part of "The Inner Circle" before it even existed? Who else?😏😂B.W.
I found a new pass time.
