I think the draw of the quick service dining plan also assumes that you’re eating at least 1 (if not 2 honestly) meals in the parks. I would agree its 100% not worth it for a staycation/resort stay only vibe, but if your plan is to grab a coffee in the morning then head to the parks for the day - you’ll be okay with it no matter what your resort is!
Just a piece of advice if anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation with breakfast ending soon....put in a mobile order! That way, even if you arrive past 11, the food will be waiting for you!

You stay at Boardwalk to be able to walk to two parks. That is invaluable when you have limited time on a vacation.
I think you technically have one more stay to do at Yacht Club.

Saw that new merch snuck in there! So excited to see the whole designs when y’all release them! The boys enjoying the pool and reactions to the fireworks was just absolutely precious, I can’t get over how cute and smiley Oliver is!

Staying at the Boardwalk puts you in close proximity and walking distance of two parks, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, as well as the Skyliner. The DVC Villas are much nicer than the room you stayed in.
I loved doing the resort stays with my son when we used to live in clermont, FL. We would just go for 2 nights and only did the resort. So your videos brings back good memories. I moved back to NJ in 2012 and don't get to go to Disney that often. Miss it so much and the warmth of florida. Thanks for all you do

I think from most families staying at the boardwalk with the quick service would be different. As they would be going into the parks and that would give more variety of food.

Lol! The Surrey bike! Many many years ago! My family of 5 did the Surrey at the Boardwalk…. What a work out for Mom & Dad, our boys were very young, it was probably 18 years ago at least. My youngest is 25 now!! I love watching your lovely family, especially with your little boys. It brings back so many memories! Thanks for sharing p.💙🩵💙👍🏻😎✨💫

I heard years ago that those surrey bikes are hard to pedal and give your legs a workout.
Also the siding they are replacing was one of my favorite visuals of the Boardwalk. That’s the DVC side and it used to say Crest O’ The Wave. Was really beautiful.
We are big Beach Club fans, but breakfast and quick serve options are definitely limited. That's why we pack instant oatmeal packets (just add hot water), little boxes of cereal, and individually wrapped muffins or pastries, even skinny bagels.
I have used the quick service dining plan when staying at the Boardwalk. My breakfast was a snack credit muffin and coffee then I’d use my quick service meals at the park. Worked well for me as an adult traveling with another adult.
I have a question were the boats not running? I would have opted to take the boat back in the rain. I would have thought the boys would have enjoyed the ride.
You would’ve gotten more out of the quick service plan had you gone into Epcot and used it there. Most resorts don’t have enough options to get your moneys worth out of any dining plan

Yacht and Beach Club are definitely different. See if you can get a corner room, they’re enormous! Or a water view room overlooking the lake. We’ve stayed there a few times. Its by far our favourite Deluxe resort. BTW, if you want a hotel with a great arcade and great quick service dining, I’d recommend Port Orleans Riverside.
That was my only complaint with the Boardwalk too, finding quick service food my child would eat.

My family & I rode the Surrey Bikes last year on mother's day at Disney. They were waaaaaay more exhausting than I thought they'd be, even with 4 people pedaling.
Also, too bad I missed you by one year! I would have been so excited if I could have met you guys.

Cool to think the Epcot fireworks were the first for both Jackson and Oliver.
We stayed at the Boardwalk in the same area. Had the same troubles with the up down up to get out to the Boardwalk area. Also we struggled with quick service meals n coffee too! Agreed the pool and slide were a big hit with the kids.

We loved the yacht club so O say go for it! Have to agree that the whole yacht/beach/boardwalk area is lacking some good quick service options for sure. BTW- I saw that Ding Dang onsie Oliver was wearing!

It was always called the Keister Coaster, they just redecorated it from the clown mouth to the Disney characters wall
We loved the boardwalk when we stayed. Our biggest complaint was that there was very limited quick service breakfast options. They need bigger quick service restaurant for sure.
Biggest bang for quick serve is at the better locations in the parks - or for breakfast at the resort. Maybe one dinner or lunch at the resorts. Else - meh.
Just a thought. Most people who stay at the Boardwalk will be going to the parks, so it would probably be ok for them to get the quick service dining plan because they wouldn’t just be eating at the hotel. However, Jen, you are right about not getting the quick service if you just were hanging out at the hotel. I really wanted to see what pop century had to offer. I think the value resorts have a lot more options and the food is fresher because of the turnaround. Do a staycation again at one of the value resorts with the dining plan.

Most people on vacation are going to the parks, plenty of quick dining options. You're definitely not tied to just what's available at your resort.

The Monorail resort would be perfect for Quick Service Dining Plan, plus you can take the boat to WL and Fort Wilderness! 👍🏻You guys had a blast!😎

Even thought the yacht club & beach club are connected, I think of them as 2 separate resorts - especially because it’s a different vibe (at least to me).

Staying at Boardwalk for first time in October. Our usual go to’s are beach and yacht, they are my favorite resorts. Staying at Evermore Resort for a few nights looking forward to that then moving over Disney to the Boardwalk. Cannot wait!

Yes! So excited about you guys staying at the Yacht Club! It’s our favorite! Jackson is going to LOVE the Disney character constellation curtains! So much fun finding all the Disney characters in the stars ✨. Yacht Club is refurbing their rooms only and the shared Storm Along Bay pool Jan - June 2025. So you better stay in 2024!

Of course, you have to stay at the Yacht Club to check it off your list! I was feeling Tim's pain on that surrey bike. We told our youngest when she learned how to ride a two wheel bike we would rent a surrey bike...and that 30 minutes was long enough...I can't imagine an hour! Thanks for sharing your staycation with us. Looks like great memories were made!
The quick service at the parks would have worked fine for others planing to eat more at the parks.
I also go signature dining plan bc sit down meals are much better IMO.

You do need to stay at the Yacht Club! It doesn’t count if you don’t! Loved this video and my almost 2 year old LOVED watching Jackson going down the water slide! He kept making me rewind it and every time would copy Tim and say “Hi Jackson!” Thanks for the video and thanks for wishing our friend Wade a happy birthday - we saw that video on his Facebook post!
Th biggest biggest draw is how close it is to Epcot and the Skyliner plus Hollywood Studios.

Quick service in the Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht area is hard. But table service breakfast is so yummy there - Trattoria al Forno, Ale &Compass and Cape May are all excellent! We went over to the bakery in France for quick service breakfast when we stayed at Boardwalk last year. But definitely hard with kids in that area for quick service.
Sad the staycation is ending but happy Mother’s Day Jenn!!!! Jackson wants a 🍭 😂

Boardwalk hotel is our favorite. Can walk to two parks, great dining, DVC rooms are very good, and can get to more food and fun at Yacht and Beach. Plus boardwalk itself, a new bakery, and good shopping. Doesn’t get much better.

These are my favorite vids you guys do! I agree about the boardwalk itself, it needs more restaurants and maybe shops. Our family never does the prepayment of food. I feel you stress about getting your money's worth. A la cart everything.
