Recently, there have been many rainy days at the Higashiyama Zoo.
On this day, it was a stormy day with thunder and heavy rain.
A few days ago, Shabani did not come out of the basement, but on this day he was outside eating breakfast.
During breakfast, a door that is normally closed was open.
This door leads directly to the basement.
According to the keeper, it was opened so that the elderly Nene, who does not like rain, could eat breakfast outside and then go back inside.
Indeed, on a rainy day a few days ago, Nene did not go outside at all.
On this day, she went outside to eat breakfast.
After that, the gorillas spent the rest of the day indoors.
Shabani's son Kiyomasa was messing around with Ai, the female.
Ai ran away to be near Shabani.
Kiyomasa does not mess with Ai when Shabani is nearby.

Shabani is big daddy to Kiyo and Annie. Ai is the young wife and gave birth to Annie. Grandma Nene gave birth to Kiyo. Nene is 24 years older than Shabani! Nene is the mother of Ai from another gorilla.
Shabani has the sweetest expressions😂. My favorite Silverback because of the love he has for his family members. He keeps them on their toes. If he were human he would be everyone's favorite uncle.

The gorillas need privacy, and they want privacy. People come to the zoo to see them so they have to be on display at all times. The gorillas would love to be in thick bushes undetected, blending in. They have no privacy. Imagine if you had no privacy. It's torture to have someone looking at you at all times. 🦍

There are plenty of videos showing Shabani & Nene being intimate. But Shabani seems to have lost interest in Nene in 2018. Shabani wants Ai, but she has is not into him. Kiyomasa is the only one giving Shabani affection.
Shabani sired Kiyo with Nene who is 24 years older than him but he has lost interest and he is actually mean to her, constantly picking on her. He prefers Ai over Nene probably cuz she is younger. Nene is the mother of Ai but Shabani did not sire Ai. Shabani sired Annie with Ai. So Kiyo and Annie are both siblings and cousins simultaneously. Yes it is confusing lol.
