    Hi, guys!
    Great song ... Again...!
'Voulez vous' means 'Do you want' (in french).
As a curious fact, the four members of ABBA met again just 5 days ago (last Friday, May 31, 2024), to each receive a decoration from the king and queen of Sweden for their outstanding contribution to the country and to music around the world...
    Please more 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️ 🙏!
    Try 'Honey Honey'
    Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍

They all met through music. Bjorn and Agnetha were a couple and got married and Benny and Anni-frid were dating and later married. Both couples divorce but the band kept going for a couple more years then broke up in the early 80s. After time the remained friends and then after 40 year they got together and recorded two new songs "I still have faith in you" is a ballad anthem of their story. It was the first song that they received a grammy nomination for. The video that accompanies the song is moving. The video also include the digitally produce Abatars with which they preform their new songs as versions of themselves from over 40 years ago. Give it a watch and remember they are singing this song at over 70 years of age.

Yea, baby!. Agnetha's hip rocking rules! BTW, she was once recognized the best butt of Europe. LOL, right? She deserves it. Although, she is also the prettiest face, the best voice, and everything else God gave her. Thank you, guys, for appreciating and keeping alive the great music of my generation! Your lady friend, by the way, is a great addition to the channel. Thanks and God bless!

This is the title track from the album. Other fantastic songs from the same album include Angeleyes, Does Your Mother Know, and If it Wasn't for the Nights.

so nice to see you return with more ABBA songs
"Voulez vous" (in double A-side with "Angeleyes"),
pick at # 3 in the U.K., is the third single from their sixth album "Voulez vous"
(ABBA's album with the most sound and disco influence,
for the Bee Gees hits in "Saturday night fever" movie)
    "Voulez Vous"
(a french title, means 'do you want?')
have one of the most iconic 'A-ha' in ABBA songs
    (with "Knowing me knowing you")
and also iconic palms in the instrumental part
    "Voulez Vous"
is the only ABBA song that the music was recorded outside Sweden, in the Criteria Studios of Miami USA , in a trip of The musicians songwriters Benny & Björn
the voices always was recorded in their homeland Sweden
I hope to see you soon with more ABBA songs
a sugestión: "Knowing me knowing you" (1977)
the other icónic a-ha chorus in worldwide hits
    My best regards from
    Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
    South America

Voulez Vous translates to will you or do you want to. Pretty suggestive for ABBA.

"Voulez Vous" translates as "do you want to?" which will give you some context to the rest of the lyrics.
If you want more saucy ABBA with a top class pop song then react to ABBA performing "SOS" on TV (1975 American bandstand) just type that ABBA SOS 1975 American bandstand here on YT and the first videos will be that performance.
Alternatively you could do another Disco banger "Summer night city" (Video) or "If it wasn't for the nights" (Japan tour)

Back in the day when this was released some Bands/Singers would release what's known as a "Double A Side"🤔 this means they release two songs at the same time.... ABBA released Voulez-Vous along with Angel Eyes as a "Double A Side", though "Angle Eyes" was popular with ABBA fans, it wasn't popular with DJ's so Voulez-Vous became more popular. I think that your lady is a closest ABBA fan😂😂 she guessed that abba was from the first letters of the bands first names and now she says that she's heard of Voulez-Vous ah-ha...... anyway just jesting. Look out far Abba's "Knowing Me Knowing You" ( Ah Ha ) an earlier classic from the fabulous foursome from Sweden, looking forward to your journey through the rabbit hole that you are about to dive into.
Be warned not only big chart hits that dominated the 70's but numerous album tracks that were sometime better than their singles.
    Enjoy 🤗
From an ABBA fan that got to see them live in London on November 6th 1979 at Wembley Arena.
    🇬🇧🧐

This tune was actually recorded in the USA, using some american musicians.
The only (studio) song they recorded outside Stockholm.

    Yeah, babies,
If you both want more fun in your lives just keep ABBA with you so you'll get it. This song has topped the charts at that time and it's still played on the radio and parties.
So you wanna know the meaning of the song, right? Here you are: "Do you want it?" Also there's another French phrase in the song that says: "La question c'est voulez-vous" what means " the question is do you want it?"
ABBA is simply the best. This album was released in 1979 and it was the only album ABBA has probably dedicated to the disco music.
I have been hooked on ABBA since I heard it for the very first time.
    All the best to you.
Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ok the song is great. The video is terrible. It's dark with people blocking camera views. Makes no sense. The best version of this is live from Spanish tv. Same exact thing with does your mother know. The Spanish tv versions of this are terrific and you can actually see the band

    • @Quessir

The video is replicating the feel of a disco from the 70's - the low lighting punctuated by coloured lamps flickering on and off to set the mood as everyone grooves around on the dance floor. The blinking quick succession of images briefly showing their faces later in the song is similar to what a person might see in such a scene when the lighting is both low and also going crazy.
In that respect I'd say the video pulled off what it was intended to do.
Not liking it is valid, but it set out to do what they wanted it to, and I'd say it's one of their more successful videos.

Not sure the seating set up is conducive if your back is toward us while interacting with a guest. Would feel more comfortable if not separated by an 'intermediary'. Last moan, please turn up the volume.
