The name or letters for ABBA are the first initial of each of the members Agnetha ( the Blond ) Bjorn ( the guitar player ) Benny ( the piano player ) Anni-Frid ( the dark haired girl ). They became two couples and married for a few years, Agnetha to Bjorn and Benny to Anni-Frid, but they eventually divorced, but they stayed together for several more years and are all still friends today.

ABBA is acronym, first letter of each group members name. At the time this name was chosen there was a Swedish fish canning company with the same name. The group asked the company if ok to share the same name for which the company simply replied as long as the music is good and not tarnish the name. Well, the rest is music history. The name Abba is also in the Bible, Hebrew name for Father.
Well to 2024 and ABBA are as popular as if they had continued past the early 80's all the way to now! When you see people all glammed up ABBA style going to ABBA Voyage in London all these decades later from this very song well, basically they will be popular forever!
Step two of this journey, " play the song for yourselves, by yourselves and dance to it. You cant go back but, today, you can feel how we felt listening to and dancing to this song. Great reaction.

Abba got famous when they won the EUROVISION contest in 1974. The EUROVISION was and still is a famous european contest held every year in a different country. At one time, ABBA & the BeeGees (Brothers Gibb) dominated the music scene in Europe, Australia but not so much the USA. There's a movie starring Meryl Streep called "Mama Mia" where you could hear more than a dozen Abba hits. The 2 couples split in the early 80's.

Btw, Agnetha has no g/j/y sound _whatsoever,_ but a heavy scandinavian emphasis on the looong "eeeh" (not "iii") vowel in the middle. 😇

They were from Sweden. They were also married couples. The guitarist anthe blinde girl were married and the pianist and the red haired girl were married. They sold over 400 million records! They recently got back together after 40 years and made a new album called Voyage. They have a special arena they built in London and have concerts with avatars aka abbatars of themselves. Sooo real looking. Not a holigram. They spent months wearing special motion catching suits with 160 cameras. All the moves in the show are theirs. Even the blinks. That's why it's so real. Side note: Bjorn and Agnetha had children they balanced in the midst of making studio music and touring .. a real family band.. a very special group ..
