Agnetha was also married to Björn and Benny with Anni-Frid, the combination of their initials inspired the group's name. Hope that answer your questions for basic info about these legends :)

Benny, playing piano, is the main melody writer. Bjorn, playing guitar is the main lyric writer. Both produce and arrange the songs. In the earlier years Stig, their manager, also wrote lyrics. Agnetha, soprano and Anni-Frid (Frida) mezzo soprano are the vocalists. Their combined voices make a "third voice". ABBA is only 2nd in sales to the Beatles with over 400 million sold. They had 17 number 1 hits. ABBA, Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-Frid (Frida) is the acronym for ABBA. You should read about them. They are one of a kind.

The history of ABBA can be researched on the Internet. ABBA was and is a guarantee for music that puts you in a good mood. In the ABBA film: "THE FILM", which was shot by ABBA during the Australian tour, a young woman said: "When I hear something from ABBA, I feel like I have to get up to dance." Yes, that statement is spot on. ABBA was and is a group that brought much, much happiness into our world.

Agnatha, Bjorn, Benny and Frida aka ABBA aren’t just a band singing they’re also a band who has songs that talks about emotions and some that talk about deep emotions. The band is freaking amazing
God, hearing ABBA reminds me of my childhood. My dad was and still is obsessed with them, so I learned to love them as I grew up. ABBA is simply a band you put on when you feel down and it makes you happy. I can't help but have a big smile on my face when I listen to them.
My favorite Abba song is "Thank you for the Music". It was their first song that I learned the whole lyrics to by listening then stopping, writing down on paper, then rewinding, then listening again and again on the cassette tape player when I was 8.
As much as I like this song, my fave has always been "Take A Chance On Me" because of its underlying vocals and how it's maintained throughout the entire song. It's worth checking out and reacting to.
I was 9 years old when I first saw (and heard!) ABBA, winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. I was hooked immediately. So outstanding! Their entire back catalogue is full of musical genius. They didn't just write songs - they crafted timeless musical masterpieces. And they looked good, too!
I was 5 in 77!! We saw Star Wars but I don’t remember it!! My mom told me! My bro was 10 and he absolutely LOVED it!! Same thing with Ghostbusters! And I was 12 years old for Ghostbusters and I don’t remember seeing that in the theater!!! LOL
AMEN!! I can remember when this song came out. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE would hit the dance floor or start skating when this song was played. I was right there with them too shaking my a#$. Man what great times and music back then. Too bad we will never have music as good as we had back then. This bullshit they call music these days is pathetic.
This brotha is 59 and loves all kinds of music. This is simply one of the best pop songs ever. Sheer perfection in the songwriting, production and vocals. Euphoria, joy, nostalgia and beauty so sheer there is a tinge of sadness there too. Everything all at once
I'm always delighted when someone discovers Abba for the first time. "Dancing Queen" was certainly their biggest hit in America, and it shows off the amazing vocal range of Agnetha and Frida. But there are so, so many other great songs from this iconic band. Looking forward to watching you check them out. Some suggestions: "Fernando," "The Winner Takes It All," and "The Name of the Game."
I am a movie person I thought Fernando was their biggest song and Dancing Queen 2nd in terms of sales. Fernando was also 14 weeks in the Australian charts too.
I was starting high school and taking driver's education when this song came out. I was 15 and I believe it was 1976. That was a magical time. Abba made that time magical.
Just luvv this group even though I was born in the Disco era when ABBA was recording their treasure trove of songs, even though I'm a metal and blues kind of guy. Love how the musicians here were able to lay down accompaniment tracks that so compliment the singer's vocals. Fantastic harmonies and counterpoint. And just looking at how the singers just exude this beauty and natural rapport with everything around them can really caress one's soul, sounds melodramatic and maybe over the top but that's my experience of it for whatever it's worth.
Looks like there's an ABBA revival going on among youtube reactors, and I love it :) Continue your ABBA journey, they have an enormous amount of fantastic songs. Two weeks ago I actually re-listened to their entire catalog and ranked all their songs according to my own taste. Here you go: 1. Dancing Queen (1976) 3:50 2. The Winner Takes It All (1980) 4:55 3. @@melibuxmelmont4889 Bang-A-Boomerang is no. 93. I'm sorry, it's not one of my favourites :) But that's the great thing about ABBA, their songs are so diverse that everyone has different favourites.
This was my favorite childhood song. I think I cried most times I heard it.. Only years later did I even understand what it was about.. that's how powerful the music and singing was back then. The 70's were F'ing phenomenal
JB Adams, I was going to say exactly the same thing!! WONDERFUL movie! 😊 They won the Eurovision song contest in '74 but Australia played a big part in their World wide in the mid-late 70's. (Muriels Wedding also launched Toni Collettes International career).
Arguably the greatest pop song ever. Period. Play this at any wedding or party , jukebox in a bar across the globe and people will begin to dance and sing.

Every jr high and high schooler was getting jiggy with Dancing Queen back in 76. Still a great tune... It's what we need more of today: sounds of happiness and simplicity.
look into how they recorded and how the performed mind blowing they doubled every instrument in the studio and live before protools and todays technology, truly amazing, from sweden
There was one summer in the 1990s, I had this album and played it on repeat and sang along. I feel so bad for my neighbours. Singing along to Abba is the best cheer up.
Good to see more of ABBA. In another video Agnetha, the blonde one, said she got goosebumps making and hearing this recording. A good sign for her and us.
The band name are the first initials of their names. They're from Sweden. They were 2 married couples. They sung in many languages, which made them beloved worldwide. In 1976, this single was #1 on Billboard like forever.
They will always be one of the best of all time!! I loved watching your reaction... Thank you for playing the song..... I also want to add that I appreciate they way you really paid attention to every movement and word.... I have enjoyed your channel....💕💕
Thats the best for me. I had not heard it in 40 yrs and it came on the radio going thru Memphis and I just about switched station cause I couldn't remember the start then it hit me. I play almost everyday now. God I love Anna. Been with my wife 34 yrs and she left me. Anna im single. Lol.
Ooooh yeah Dancing Queen!! This was the song that made me stop pretending I didn't like ABBA 😂 this song is still as cool to me now as it was when I first heard it in 1976 such a cool vibe to this song
I loved Abba, Dancing Queen, Take a chance on me , Does your Mama know that your out , KNowing me knowing you, Rock me . All great songs. They are still great today thats why two movies made Mamma Mia
You should listen to ABBA's last, most polished and mature album, 'The Visitors'. In particular, the song, "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room". Gorgeous.
Yes, a fantastic team, 2 couples married. They were sensational at the time, I adored them, & danced the night away, brilliant. Their songs are brilliant! Benny, the pianist, wrote the songs. They originally came on The Eurovision Song Contest (in Europe ofcourse!). Ofcourse they won the contest & as from there, hey presto - AMAZING!!!
I heard this song everyday for the first couple years after it came out. Pops would play the top forty radio before school, and this song brings back all the sights, sounds and smells of that time.

Agnatha, Bjorn, Benny and Frida aka ABBA aren’t just a band singing they’re also a band who has songs that talks about emotions and some that talk about deep emotions. The band is freaking amazing
They have only sold 340 million LPS NO BIGGIE
Sounds like the descendants of Ragnar Lothbrok
They were an amazing band ... love their music... Another great band I grew up listening to... way back when.
1 am at every bar, And everyone knows the words, They’re Swedish
Or Australian, believe me❤️
Absolute legends....Absolutely fantastic
As much as I like this song, my fave has always been "Take A Chance On Me" because of its underlying vocals and how it's maintained throughout the entire song. It's worth checking out and reacting to.
Same here.
Agreed!!!
I like that one and S.O.S..
I love ABBA. But I also love your take on this. I second this!
Na.. Winner takes it all.
the only band that metalheads will admit to listening tooo
Guilty as charged. Pantera and ABBA are in my top five all time.
No kidding. I'm a pretty big metalhead, I listen to thrash, death, black... and I freaking love ABBA.
Yooo
I would give this week's paycheck to watch Jamel sing and dance to this song. It's all he can do not to break out in a performance now😂😂
🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🤣🤣🤣🤣
But only if he flicks his hair about like they do in the video.
You seriously can't help but dance to this.
This took me straight back to 1977 when I was 19. Damn those were fine times. 👀🤘👏
I was 24 in 1977 and they were indeed fine times! This was such a huge hit record and was always playin at the disco. I miss that time,
szqsk8 I agree
I was only 15 in 77 but it was a great time. Everything about it was special.
LOL
Yessss....and being a teenager when this came out. Now they've made 2 movie musicals based on their musicals
Abba related...movie Muriel's Wedding.Great chick flick.I enjoyed there hell out of it.Thank you Australia
They have sold 380 million albums worldwide.
ABBA are the single-most successful pop music group in history. By any measure.
If this song doesn’t make you dance in some way, there’s something wrong with you.
The music is so intricate, as always. They were perfect.
I’m high and I’m dancing as fuck 😂😂
This brotha is 59 and loves all kinds of music. This is simply one of the best pop songs ever. Sheer perfection in the songwriting, production and vocals. Euphoria, joy, nostalgia and beauty so sheer there is a tinge of sadness there too. Everything all at once
"Knowing me Knowing you" is their best song for me
Yess!
It's a great song and it holds up really well.
Absolutely!
that's my favorite too
Abba is probably the best group of all time. I'm 49 and both my daughters are huge fans.
I never get tired of this song❤️. Brings back great memories ! Great group!
I was a teenager in the 70s and loved ABBA. But there's no way I would have admitted that in public.
Love this song👍🏾
I love Fernando !
I am a movie person
I thought Fernando was their biggest song and Dancing Queen 2nd in terms of sales. Fernando was also 14 weeks in the Australian charts too.
@@Ethan-en2ij I had no idea, thanks for saying it. I know the Australian ppl are crazy about them and I totally get it 😊
xo from Brazil
46 years old song...still amazing.
I love ABBA! Would love it if you would react to "Does Your Mother Know" and "When I Kissed The Teacher", both by ABBA 💙
I so love "When I Kissed The Teacher".
"Does Your Mother Know" is probably the BEST roller rink song out there (and my favorite, to boot).
I was starting high school and taking driver's education when this song came out. I was 15 and I believe it was 1976. That was a magical time. Abba made that time magical.
Man after my heart!!! I absolutely loooove ABBA!! And this song reminds me of my best friend Toby and I singing it in my car everywhere we went💕💕💕
Love your videos Jamal. Love, peace and prosperity all the wayfrom ABBA-land (Sweden)!
The most talented pure pop group that has ever existed.

But you missed out boomerang ! My fav
@@melibuxmelmont4889 Bang-A-Boomerang is no. 93. I'm sorry, it's not one of my favourites :) But that's the great thing about ABBA, their songs are so diverse that everyone has different favourites.
This is what is considered the ultimate wedding reception dance song...stirring, powerful, amazing.
Well said, a joy that is joyful, powerful, wistful and has a simple emotional reaction
ABBA was huge! I loved almost every single one of their songs. One of my favorite movies, Muriel's Wedding, features lots of ABBA music.
This was my favorite childhood song. I think I cried most times I heard it.. Only years later did I even understand what it was about.. that's how powerful the music and singing was back then. The 70's were F'ing phenomenal
What a nice guy he is! I'm glad he found something he liked. Not surprised, mind. It was ABBA with the best pop song ever!
Great vocals great band pure 80s
See MURIEL’S WEDDING, a great movie that uses ALL ABBA music throughout the film. Brilliant!
Mama Mia also heavily involved ABBA's music
JB Adams, I was going to say exactly the same thing!! WONDERFUL movie! 😊 They won the Eurovision song contest in '74 but Australia played a big part in their World wide in the mid-late 70's. (Muriels Wedding also launched Toni Collettes International career).
That’s how was introduced to ABBA. And Toni Collette. Still love them both.
Mamma mia is based on their music
@@Aքօռ-i8m so was "Muriel's Wedding"
Arguably the greatest pop song ever. Period. Play this at any wedding or party , jukebox in a bar across the globe and people will begin to dance and sing.
They don't just sing all these songs. Björn and Benny wrote every single one of them. They are definitely one of the greatest bands of all time.
ABBA. Legend's. Their diction was perfect. They are Swedish. They won the eurovision song contest in 1974. Fabulous harmonies. Fabulous singers.
As a Classic Rock kid in the '70s I never really cared much for Disco, but I sure did have a crush on Agnetha. Now that I'm old, I dig ABBA.
My theory is that everyone falls a bit in love with Agnetha eventually.
ABBA (acronym) has 4 members, Agnetha (blonde), Anni-Frid aka Frida (Brunette), Benny (Piano) and Björn (Guitar), they're from Sweden and became famous worldwide after winning the Eurovision song Festival in 1974
The only music my mom liked that I liked. To this day it still makes me smile to hear ABBA :)
Singing along to Abba is the best cheer up.
i LOVE your reaction :-)) ABBA has been a part of my life since i was a kid. So many great songs. Greetings from germany.
Pete Townshend from the WHO said “SOS” was the greatest pop song every written.
Thats the best for me. I had not heard it in 40 yrs and it came on the radio going thru Memphis and I just about switched station cause I couldn't remember the start then it hit me. I play almost everyday now. God I love Anna. Been with my wife 34 yrs and she left me. Anna im single. Lol.
SOS is one of my favourite ABBA songs..
Went disco dancing and loved to with Abba. We wore dresses and 6 inch heals! Such fun.
8 year old me, twirling around in living room trying to be a dancing queen. Thought it was the most wonderful thing I'd ever heard. 😊
He is a Great Guy with Incredible Music Taste...It Brightens My Day...!!!!
ABBA started in 1972- 1982 with 8 albums in their category. Love this group.
I heard this song everyday for the first couple years after it came out. Pops would play the top forty radio before school, and this song brings back all the sights, sounds and smells of that time.
There voices give me chills
Same I love it esp knowing they sang it in English not even knowing the language
