    Thanks for the video it was very informative.....I have a 1994 Nissan Sentra and my radiator is leaking in the same place. I love this car I bought it new in 1994 and it is the best car I have ever owned. Very easy to work on and parts are cheap and gas mileage is out of the roof. I have people to this day that want to buy it but sorry it's not for sale. Thanks again for the video it will help a lot

      Hair line crack on the top of the radiator in the same spot you had the sealer on. Didn’t notice it until steam was coming out.

      Had an issue with the park I bought at the auto part store the bolts didn’t line up with the fam and it was the correct piece. Had to go to a different one and return the defective one. Luckily everything fit and she’s running again.

    Not sure how simular your engine is to mine, I have the 2.5L but mine has 2 thermostats. So if it is still over heating, you might wanna take a look. 1 is on the upper hose and the second is a behind the block where the lower hose goes in to the engine.

  • @chrism4988
    @chrism4988 7 лет назад +1

    Much easier to remove fan with wires attached, then you can reach all the bottom hoses from topside.

  • @nathaniel781
    @nathaniel781 8 месяцев назад

    Question: at about 5:00 into the video, when you removed the transmission fluid hose at the bottom, how much transmission fluid did you lose? Is there still transmission fluid in the radiator? Did you have to add transmission fluid back after the job was completed due to fluid loss? If so, how much?
    Thank you for your help!

    • @RoadeoCowboy

      If you are referring to the end of the video where I had my radiator cap on with the engine running, at that time I've already completed the air bleeding procedure. The engine should start regardless. If it doesn't start than there must be other problems with the engine.

  • @JrSpitty

    You didn't fix the problem that caused the failure! Your upper radiator mounts are shot and the radiator is just bashing back and forth as you drive. They cost like 5 bucks to replace. I know this is 5 years late LOL

      You gotta push in hard on the side towards the engine...if you look closely you will see the clips that hold them in, I took a Small Flat head to do that, and another small flat head to pry Upwards...and they pop right out.

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  5 лет назад

      Really? What was the issue you encountered specifically? As far as I know you just need to disconnect the hoses to the radiator. It has to be the same generation of Sentra thou.

  • @Nebrida23
    @Nebrida23 3 года назад

    Is it normal for the radatior to be "loose?" Like if you see the two black brackets that you had to pivot out of the way, you see those two prong things coming up from the radiator but the don't go into anything. Is there supposed to be something there? My Sentra is the same way.

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  3 года назад

      For some reason it was designed that way, I am not sure why.

    • @JrSpitty
      @JrSpitty 2 года назад

      @@RoadeoCowboy No it is not normal. Your upper radiator mounts are what caused the failure. The radiator should be held in firmly to prevent thrashing it back and forth, which is what causes that crimped seal to start leaking. They sell those rubber bushings in pairs for like 5 bucks. Replace them or you will find the new radiator starts leaking.
      Over time they deteriorate and fail, they should be soft, yours will likely crumble on removal. I just replaced a radiator on my girls sentra because of this... last guy to own it before she bought it didn't replace them.

    • @lovetrump1088
      @lovetrump1088 4 месяца назад

      The radiator rides on the Rubber Bushings in the bottom and top. It keeps it from being subject to stress and isolates the radiator so there are no stress fractures due to un-necessary engine vibration. It's Floating on those 4 bushings essentially - two top and two bottom.
