"Fly From the Inside" "Cut the Cord" "Bully" "Monsters" are all other Shinedown bangers! "45" "Call Me" "I Dare You" "The Crow and the Butterfly" are slower, but Brent Smith's voice is still incredible. Shinedown is awesome on recordings and even better live!

Oh man, you two have a nice rabbit hole to jump into with shinedown!!! Bc of the time they came out and their sound many like to label them in the "butt rock' category but idc I've always been a fan of these guys. Save Me, Heroes, and Burning Bright are 3 masterpieces from them. Especially Burning Bright if you're into a different side of them. Brent Smiths vocals can be hauntingly smooth at times

MONSTERS!!! That is another banger and is about his demons of fighting addiction. If you to the complete other side, A Symptom of Being Human is also on mental health and how everyone is going through a battle of their own. Brent Smith, singer, is an incredible lyricist!

This is one of my favourite songs by Shinedown. (Their cover of Hammer to Fall is also amazing.) This song is definitely about not succumbing to the worst parts of mental illness, encouraging us to stand up and fight for yourself. You are here for a reason and worth fighting for!

I love Shinedown and my favorite song is Monsters. I too have a mental health issue that I have been addressing since 1982 when I had a suicide plan and was getting close to carrying it out. This is the result of the premature birth of my first child, who lived for 8 hours. I was convinced that it was my fault and that my body betrayed me. Needless to say I am still in treatment and managing well. Jay, I heard you mention that you too have a mental health issue. Keep on keeping on Brother. Take good care of yourself. Love to you and Amber❤

Sound of Madness is the song Brent Smith, singer, says is the one song he would recommend as a first listen for anyone who doesn’t know Shinedown…and as the lyricist for the band, a lot of the lyrics have meaning to him, whether about his demons or his bandmate’s struggle with mental health issues, or something else. Powerful stuff.

I recommend listening to every Shinedown album. They switch their stuff up constantly and always offer a new listening experience. There's a reason they have so many #1 hits.

Shinedown is one of the most versatile bands in the current music scene - they have incredible ballads, bangers like this one, and songs with so much depth and meaning they pierce you to your very soul. This entire album is fire, as well as their earlier material like "Fly From The Inside" and "Burning Bright".

Another great song about mental health, Shinedown’s, “Second Chance”. Also another good one to take a listen to is “Unwell” by Matchbox 20. Very relatable.
