A great job on the case. My mother used to have something similar that held a hair dryer from the sixties. There was a motor and a hose and a plastic cap that fit over her curlers.
Every weekend that the grown-ups went out, the hair dryer came out too and we knew the baby sitter would be coming and my brothers would con her into letting us stay up later.
Polly P I thought the same thing! They had a big bonnet hood that fit over those big curlers we used to use that attached to a hose and heating blower and stored inside that case.
It is a hair dryer case! I had one just like it that I got for Christmas in 1967. It still had all the parts so instead of tossing it, this past spring I gifted it to my hair dresser. The girls in the shop had never seen such a thing.
I remember my older sister using that kind of hair dryer! Haven’t seen one of those probably since! I haven’t even seen any RUclips channel flip one…Wow what vision…turned out great👍🏻
Your "luggage" looks so real! FANTASTIC job on that, I LOVE it 💖. I am in agreement with the others. We owned 1of those hair dryers forever when I was a child. We "upgraded" in the 70's & those clunkers were really a sight!!!...lol
Everything turned out so fantastic Sherry. I wouldn't call what you have in your garage "junk", it is more like "possibilities" of things to be transformed into something great!! You do it every time. I loved the little side dresser with the stick on tiles and the suitcase was adorable. You really brought the white regular looking cabinet to life with your color choice and the rods. You made it look so modern. As always, thank you for all the ideas. 🤗
Hi Sherrie, my name is Sherrie as well! I just found your channel this last week and I'm in love with your DIY style! I, too, love decorating my home and other peoples house or offices as well. I'm getting some good inspiration here. I shared your videos with my Aunt, a retired art teacher, who I got so much inspiration from for many years. She just lost my uncle, about 3 weeks ago. I'm hoping your videos will bring her some joy, and maybe encourage and inspire her to start doing again what she has always been so gifted with! Thank you! God bless!
I absolutely love the "leather suitcase" , the ottoman and the bathroom cabinet! Sherry you found some really nice items curbside - but your talent and vision on how to transform them is so impressive!! Thank you for sharing 🙂❤️
Loved the lamp table. The feathers did indeed look like embroidery. Also loved the blue and white peel and stick night stand. Lots of great, ideas! Inspirational!
Sherry let me pick my jaw from the floor!!!! I can’t even pick a favorite, your style is impeccable and looks easy to recreate ( I’m sure is not) Thank the for inspiring me , God bless you 💜❤️💙
I'm a curb picker too! I once found an antique sofa that I recovered. My family thought I was crazy, til they sat on the finished product! What you did with the cabinet was so cool! You totally changed the vibe of the cabinet! My favorite was the lamp! So creative! Thanks for the inspo!
I bought a sofa left from a yard sale for $5! Of course, it cost some money to have it reupholstered but it was well built and 30 years later I'm still using it and it looks great!
I am retired and don't want to go back to my profession of teaching to make extra money. Your ideas have truly inspired me to become creative. I've been making paintings on old used glass and have given away most. My friends tell me they didn't even know I painted. I've got lots of items that have just been sitting around in my garage for years. Right now I'm working on a gnome Christmas porch sign. You are truly an I inspiration for me. Thank you for sharing. Iva Kerr Maryville, TN
I don’t blame you-I don’t want to go back to teaching, either! Perhaps, you could open up a booth in a local consignment store to sell you handmade items. People love anything that has been hand painted by an artist!
I can't believe someone through that cute little side table away......oh well .....one man's trash is another woman's treasure ! I like the blue tiles too ...GREAT JOB !
Sherry, you just let your imagination run wild and we love it. Your decor ideas are just wonderful and I truly enjoy all of your videos. Thank you sharing with us
Love the lamp and the suitcase. Those two are my favorites! They turned out so nice. And I’m sure your son will love the wall cabinet. It looks so nice. Well done! ❤️💜💚
You always come up with the best ideas. You execute them well and create beautiful decor. Don’t know how you come up with such unusual and practical items. You’re so gifted!
Hi Sherrie 😊 You never cease to amaze me with your ideas and your talent for upcycling and repurposing! Thank you so much for sharing your talents! 🥰🥰🥰
That case was just so adorable!!! I loved the finish and the stickers really added a super cute touch!! I loved that medicine cabinet too! Who am I kidding Sherry, I love everything you do!! Have a great week!!❤️
Sherry you didn't ask, but my favorite project was the wall cabinet you did for your son. You see a lot of these discarded relics from when they were popular years ago. Your makeover was very modern and up to date. Loved it.
I thought it was just me not being able to find things when I need them at Dollar Tree. I love all the ideas you give us weekly. I really like those feather stickers.
Its 23.00 and there jou are lol. I loved what you did with the suitcase and the night stand, thanks for your inspirations Sherry and der you next week, kindly regards Marja
That old hair dryer case looks like it would make a cool lamp too....I like the end table ottoman project too! Love how you Frankenstein things together and they turn or so unique.. Always enjoy your videos!
I love that you describe what I do as “Frankensteining things together” because that is exactly how it feels when I’m working on my projects. And, every once in awhile, I create a monster!😜
I love all of the makeovers. There were a couple of real ugly ducklings in the batch of before items. But you managed to give them a new life as beautiful decor. You have quite the vision.
Love the case! My husband and I did the same technique on his “smoking/man room” ceiling. We used stain instead of wax and then put a poly on top. It looks exactly like leather or old tobacco leaves!
Wow, Sherry! They're gorgeous! I especially loved the cabinet you upcycled for your son's apartment. What you did to that hairdryer case is fantastic! Always so much fun to watch your videos!
I love everything make, Sherry. I really want to try the brown craft paper “leather” and I think I’ll do it on an old nightstand in the inset on the top. I’m sure it won’t look as good as your case but I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
I’m never surprised anymore when u flip something that makes me say “eeew” then when you’re done with your flip I say “WOW” everything you touch turns out soo nice!
Oh My Gosh I absolutely LOVE the clock Sherry! I enjoy your makeovers so much and I can't wait for the next one. I'm 75 and I can't wait to try out some of your projects.
You are so talented. I really enjoy watching everything you create. I'm so excited that you done some room remodels in the past few months. The final look on a budget is amazing
Hi Sherry! Oh I like all you trash projects but my Favorite is that darling suitcase. I love picking up trash .Thank you for sharing this video with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. 💚🦋💐
Great finds & projects! The last one looks like a old case from a bonnet style hairdryer from back in the 70's, we had one growing up. Inside were the motor, plastic hose & a vinyl bonnet.
Awesome as always Sherri! Finding Magic described the dryer that used to occupy that "suitcase" perfectly. It was like a mobile hair dryer chair that was found in the old "beauty parlors" that you sat under with the top that came down over your head to dry all the curlers. Wow! That's really old! The lamp and the ottoman are genius and the cabinet is so perfect for your son's apartment. The wood herringbone look inside, is so classy. I think it just brings the whole piece to another level. I love that you cut off the transparent tape off of the feather stickers. I agree that they do look like embroidery. My week would not be complete without your videos. Thanks for sharing what you do so well. You are a Master St repurposing.
I have seen craft paper slightly misted then crumbled up in your hand then put on old items, or as wallpaper done the same way and used paste wax and a little shoe polish and it looked so beautiful!! The lady ended up putting in up in a parade of homes house!!
I think that looks like an OLD fashioned hair dryer case. Shoe polish can also be used on kraft paper to make it look like leather. I have even seen someone do a floor with torn kraft paper and shoe polish.
Sherry, all of your creations are amazing. I love them all and I need those miter snippers, the saw and the stapler. Thank you for all of your great and genius ideas.
Hi Sherry, they are all great flips. Loved what you did with that cabinet you did for your son. It looks manly now. I'm sure your son is going to love it. ❤❤❤
Sherry, my son called one day to say his friend Joe saw me picking things up from the curb. Hey, it was the evening before trash pickup and the best time to cruise the neighborhood. I am elated to know I am not alone. One man's trash...Your makeovers are great, especially the cabinet for your son's apartment. Have a great week. Karen in NC
Here people leave things out they HOPE someone can reuse. I have done my share!!!! As we can see you find good things and Sherry is the best in making them new again!
I hate for good things to be thrown out. I think it's great to make items over and give them a new life. I love to see what all she makes over!!! If I see things out for the trash and its something good, I hate passing them up.
Way back in 1971 my next door neighbor and her husband went out early on trash day and picked up good stuff from tree lawns. I’d never seen that, coming from across the country.
Thank you! I’ve wanted a good hand miter tool! I just bought it from your storefront! I’m so glad I found your channel! These projects are right up my alley. You’re so creative and can really get the job done, and beautifully at that!💕🎨
You are the best at turning trash to treasure! With so many people struggling and so much waste we all could decorate our homes just picking one man junk and making it in to their treasure. Our waste sights would be less full also, a win win.
Everything is gorgeous as usual. I love the case, it really looks like a piece of luggage. My Mom had one when I was little and it held a hair dryer with a cap that went over your head and a hose attached to it.
Great Job I love all of the projects ❤️..as a 72 year old grandmother I love repurpousing items ! I used to do it a lot when I had younger children .I don't much any longer because we live in a tiny house .
Sherry, Love all your trash to treasures. We live in the country, so we don't have too many curb side treasures, but I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Love cruising the neighborhood for great stuff I have been guilty of that in the past...my kids always hated being with me when I would stop and look at other people's trash...love your ideas 💡...
My husband used to be embarrassed about me picking up other people’s trash, but I think he has finally gotten used to it. He will even tell me if he sees something on the curb that I might like, but he won’t pick it up!😀
A great job on the case. My mother used to have something similar that held a hair dryer from the sixties. There was a motor and a hose and a plastic cap that fit over her curlers.
We used to have one of those
I agree, I remember the hair dryer.
Was just getting ready to say the same. I think mom still has it. She used it all this time
Every weekend that the grown-ups went out, the hair dryer came out too and we knew the baby sitter would be coming and my brothers would con her into letting us stay up later.
I was just going to say, that it looked like an old hair dryer case....❤
Love the makeovers. The suitcase is my fav! It looks like an old portable hair dryer case...remember those?
Polly P I thought the same thing! They had a big bonnet hood that fit over those big curlers we used to use that attached to a hose and heating blower and stored inside that case.
It is a hair dryer case! I had one just like it that I got for Christmas in 1967. It still had all the parts so instead of tossing it, this past spring I gifted it to my hair dresser. The girls in the shop had never seen such a thing.
Yes I saw one in a museum lol, No seriously with 7 girls in my family growing up in the 60s and 70s we had 2 for all our groovy hairstyles of the day.
I remember my older sister using that kind of hair dryer! Haven’t seen one of those probably since! I haven’t even seen any RUclips channel flip one…Wow what vision…turned out great👍🏻
That’s what I thought 😊
These 5 makeovers were simply amazing. You have such a gift. Thank you so much for sharing!
Your "luggage" looks so real! FANTASTIC job on that, I LOVE it 💖. I am in agreement with the others. We owned 1of those hair dryers forever when I was a child. We "upgraded" in the 70's & those clunkers were really a sight!!!...lol
That cabinet for your Son's place stole my heart! Love it! You are SO creative Sherry!
Everything turned out so fantastic Sherry. I wouldn't call what you have in your garage "junk", it is more like "possibilities" of things to be transformed into something great!! Sherry, I LOVE your moss green floor lamp!! Just gorgeous and the feathers on the lampshade are stunning!!
It's a vintage hair dryer case, love everything you do as usual.❣️🌹😊

Beautiful pieces as usual Sherry! You never cease to amaze me. You're so lucky to have Dollar Tree, we don't have it in the UK. 💗🇬🇧
Love all the projects. My favorite was the end table cover with fabric, totally awesome.
Splendid ideas, Sherri.
And the lamp upgrade is incredible! 🌸
Loved the lamp table. The feathers did indeed look like embroidery. Also loved the blue and white peel and stick night stand. Lots of great, ideas! Inspirational!

😀
Sherry you didn't ask, but my favorite project was the wall cabinet you did for your son. You see a lot of these discarded relics from when they were popular years ago. Your makeover was very modern and up to date. Loved it.
Your hair looks so good when you wear it 'up'. Very youthful--takes 20 years off of your age.
That black cabinet with the skewers and those adorable handles is just fabulous!! Wow!
Love the little cabinet and the small “suitcase “ makeover!
I thought it was just me not being able to find things when I need them at Dollar Tree. I love all the ideas you give us weekly. I really like those feather stickers.
I live in an area with multiple Dollar Tree stores, so I often waste time and gas trying to find a particular item for a project!😜
Loving the night stand make over. Blue and white are my style!!
The one with the bamboo is very nice too !

I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I would love to see more upcycling from your garage.
Great finds & projects! The last one looks like a old case from a bonnet style hairdryer from back in the 70's, we had one growing up. Inside were the motor, plastic hose & a vinyl bonnet.
I remember those hair dryers! We had a hard case one that weighed 50 lbs!!😜
Awesome as always Sherri!

All of the projects turned out fabulous. I especially liked the creative lamp.
You come up with some of the most creative ideas, and I always love them
I think that looks like an OLD fashioned hair dryer case. Shoe polish can also be used on kraft paper to make it look like leather. I have even seen someone do a floor with torn kraft paper and shoe polish.
My camera wasn’t on when I ripped out the inner case. I wish you could have seen it because I don’t know what was stored in it.
My first thought was that it was for an old hair dryer!
Your son’s cabinet is beautiful. I love your blue and white one. The lamp is fantastic. I think that was a hairdryer case. Turned out great.
You do some of the most amazing makeovers. I love them all.
You have the best luck with curbside finds. As always, you have transformed them beautifully.
The ottoman was so cute. Who knew 5 below had such pretty little rugs.
I love how you give such details of your projects. Very nice projects!!
You have incredible talents! Always grateful for your hard work-
The wall cabinet looks great. Everything does 😀
I’m just love the cabinet and the small table! Your imagination knows no bounds!

Loved all of these. The luggage was genius.
#1. No one on RUclips is more creative than you Sherry! #2 They do not have Dollar Trees like that one where I come from!
Love the new night stand!!

Love the redone black cabinet. Looks classy. Much better than the original white.
I think that hard shelled suitcase thing held one of those big home hairdryers. Took me back to early childhood!
Stunning. Your son is fortunate to have such a wise mama
I especially like the floor lamp & the travel case.
The cabinet and case are wonderful! Another amazing video! ❤️
Love how the cabinet for your son turned out. It will look so great in his apartment.
You made some clever projects. The “leather” case was surprisingly realistic looking.
Thank you, Michelle!😊
Thank you! I’ve wanted a good hand miter tool! I just bought it from your storefront! I’m so glad I found your channel! These projects are right up my alley. You’re so creative and can really get the job done, and beautifully at that!💕🎨
I’m so glad you enjoyed this video. I use that miter tool ALL the time! It is so much sharper than you expect!
Hello this is a lady that keeps giving you a praise all the time I just love everything you do you keep up the good work
Even though you are now posting on Monday evening my Tuesday still starts with your video. Love these ideas.
I loved everything. 💞 I wish I had a dollar tree like that near me!
