  • Hey guys welcome back to the channel. Today I have a quick update on my 2020 Ford Ranger Fuel In Oil issues. Its been 5000 Miles since Ford Replaced my injectors on my 2020 Ranger and so far everything seems great! The truck feels good and my gas mileage has improved. So hopefully that means it has been fixed for good! I will send the sample off and give y'all a follow up update on the truck!
    Thanks for watching!

I have a 2021 Ranger xlt sport. I have 7714 miles on it and my oil level is definitely rising on the stick. The oil wreaks of gas. I have it documented at the dealer. So far the dealer hasn't done anything. The dealer told me that until the oil level level rose above the top dot on the dipstick there was nothing that they could do. When I changed the oil I only put in 6 quarts instead of the 6.2 quarts. The 6 quarts put my oil level right at the full mark. 1500 miles later it has risen above the full mark. It hasn't quite gotten to the dot which is maximum capacity but it's getting there.

While the pump is easier for the oil change, removal of the drain plug at the very bottom, where dirt/particles/etc. settle, is most desirable for obvious reasons. Yes, it takes more work, but you do flush out most/all the heavier particles out that way. Glad you got your fuel dilution issue under control 👍

Nice to see you using Amsoil! (I'm a dealer) Changed the transmission fluid yet? If you use Amsoil transmission fluid, I'd love to know what you think of it. It should improve your fuel mileage even more.

I believe draining it from the oil drain plug is the way to go 😆 but not a bad idea. I leave the plug off on my 2020 ranger go inside hang out for a while maybe 30mins to 1hr make sure everything gets out lol. I love this truck it tows every single day lawn business towing about 3700lbs daily all over town 2020 purchased in October 2020 she has 15k miles already doing great tows better then 89 f150 5.0l 302 😆

Hey Great video, I have been researching and fighting with fuel dilution in my 2017 Ford F150 with the 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost for the past 3 years, Ford told me they couldn't check my truck back when it was under warranty since there was no check engine light, its crap but I just gave up on Ford, My own mechanic recommended to HPFP which was done, and I still smell fuel when my trucks sitting in my garage, I also smelled fuel in the oil badly, also running Amsoil Signature Series Oil, have a catch can, and have been running oil samples through Horizon (Amsoils oil test company), and my trucks over 5% dilution and im changing the oil every 1500 miles at this point. I may go ahead and change my injectors seeing you had luck with them being changed. Only question I have which maybe you did address in one of the videos, is did you notice the truck running rough at all at idle, or regular driving at all?? My truck seems to be running completely fine other then the fuel in the oil.

Hello I too own a 2021 ranger and have been getting the issue of my oil smelling like gas. Is this the only issue you had to get fixed on the truck? I was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking out for? aside from trying to get new injectors.

Any reason for the switch from Amsoil Signature Series (25K) oil to regular Amsoil "Advanced Oil Protection"?

How did it run with the original injectors? Could you tell something was wrong?
I have one with 200 miles and it smells gassy but it runs fine

I have the same issue with my 2019 ranger. Oil level was way past the dot after only 5,000 miles

Is this just an issue on 2019’s or later year models as well?

That same fluid extractor doesn't work on our ranger. It leaves 3 qts behind and that has nothing to do with the extractor because the extractor works flawlessly. The shape of the pan is the problem. So I don't understand how it worked for you.

Fuel dilution issues are plaguing many DI engines. Couple that with some of the ridiculous oil change intervals manufacturers are recommending and it’s a recipe for major engine repairs.

You’re absolutely right. I’m trying to be a RUclips and post as much as possible but life is getting in the way. With that said I haven’t had any issues with the fuel being diluted since the injectors were replaced.

I asked nicely…nah just showed my diluted fuel level. Had the dealership scribe the dipstick and came back a week later with a raised level. They then did a leak down test after that.
