    Ryomen Sukuna has been a shadow looming over the Jujutsu Kaisen story for a long time. Now that his battle with the sorcerers seems to be nearing its end I wanted to cover this series' most imposing villain before this story comes to a close. Sukuna is a character who makes the story move around him and throughout his run in the story has done just that whenever he appears.

    Sukuna's end will basically mirror mahito, the end of a road of self indulgence, mahito ran out of human ammo and tricks due to todo's bluff ending the fight against him with mahito completely depleted, Sukuna's depletion has been going on for a while now, gojo cost him his initial extreme special grade oomph along with his domain and forcing sukuna to compromise and settle with a weaker world slash due to binding vow, kashimo cost him his cop out card turning him into his altered form, higoruma costing him his rare special grade weapon, yuta costing him two arms and a mouth, maki costing him a heart, miguel and larue helping yuji deal 7 black flashes, making him awaken his shrine and setting him up to later get soul dismantles, forcing sukuna to sacrifice presumably a lot to get a disformed domain working, choso and todo making that effort go to waste (not yuji nor anyone other than choso were hit), yuta made his second distorted domain also a wasted effort, yuji slashed his soul, and now angel nuked him with Jacob's ladder

      But Sukuna has been shown multiple times to have a thrill for battle.Just because he ran out of techniques doesn’t mean he’s gonna lay down and die pathetically.Sukunas this strong for a reason.

    • @comedygold6249
      @comedygold6249 2 месяца назад +5

      @sora_Freedom the emphasis is attrition, mahito was equally passionate and resourceful about fighting, but he and sukuna fight for themselves and their own survival in the end at all costs, even if it means sacrificing some of their own strength permanently, rather than for pride like toji, or for maintaining and enjoying their own heights of power, like gojo. Once all means of fighting are exhausted, sukuna will try to make a run for it, while gojo and toji died standing due to not having the same selfish mindset as sukuna, toji could have ran from the purple but his pride didn't allow it, and gojo got caught off guard by the world cutting dismantle since he didn't know sukuna would be able or desperate enough to make a whole binding vow sacrificing future world dismantles' power, thus weakening himself for a simple sucker punch, meaning that gojo had that pride that didn't allow himself to do an atrittion based move that weakens himself in the future just to survive, or just like it was said in shibuya, there are certain limits to what gojo is willing to sacrifice unlike mahito

      @@comedygold6249 I think the one instrumental difference between Sukuna and Mahito is their understanding of the rules of nature.
      Sukuna doesn't live for immortality or for the sake of prolonging his life. He even accepts before Kashimo that he'll keep living "until death", sipping the various flavours of human existence.
      If anything, I see Sukuna looking his own end in the face and accepting that this is it.

    • @comedygold6249
      @comedygold6249 Месяц назад

      @sageoverheaven i have some crackpot theories about what's gonna happen, i see that jjk is all about jumping vs soloing and paralells, no jumping has ever gone wrong for anyone in jjk, including the bad guys, jumps have always "won" in jjk in one way or another, as for parallels, the way i see it, yuji will somehow eat sukuna (who has parallels to mahito and will get "eaten" the same way) and somehow seal megumi (who has parallels to gojo and will get sealed too), since geto/psuedo geto has parallels with yuji
      it's a theory but i think sukuna will basically give up on breaking yuji's ideals and kill yuji in the real world, straight up, and eat him in front of the cast gruesomely, making yuji reach closure in reaching his ideal of martyrdom and fulfilling the curse set up by yuji's grandfather, and simultaneously having sukuna break his own ideal set up in chapter 248 (when sukuna was on the bridge thinking to himself, he had developed a singular ideal or desire to shatter yuji's ideals) and essentially sealing sukuna's fate to die (toji said he lost as soon as he twisted his own ideals when gojo purpled him, same thing will happen to sukuna), basically, sukuna will set up the dominos for his own downfall by twisting his own newfound ideals (hating on yuji lol) and pretending he still has no ideals like before
      I think it's set up prior and that there's no asspull if yuji will survive anyway because he turned his own finger into a cursed tool right before getting eaten, pulling a fast one on sukuna and "infiltrating" megumi's body as the last part of the jumping plan (plan z), which is where yuji will actually dominate and eat sukuna's soul with megumi and ten shadow's help and basically control megumi's body ("sealing" megumi like kenjaku sealed gojo? Or controlling megumi like yuta controlled gojo?) then yuji will start the merger by killing all his allies for the requirement set up by the culling game (he'd somehow be giving everyone a good death?) And the series somehow ends on a bittersweet note with yuji in megumi's body starting the merger to fix everything i guess

      @atm8733 Месяц назад +1

      @@comedygold6249Um, you should reread the entire manga cuz there are MULTIPLE cases where jumping didn’t work. Your theory gets debunked by just about the entire culling games and shibuya arc, Yuta got jumped by Uro and Ryu but he won. Even though they say it was a free for all, they were both mainly just targeting Yuta, they had no problem making each other collateral but they were obviously maining Yuta. Choso, Tengen, and Yuki jumped Kenjaku and we saw how that turned out. The Zenin clan jumped Maki and they got no diffed. Maki and Yuji jumped Sukuna with the help of Megumi nerfing his CE output and they ended up losing. Nanami and Ino were getting jumped by a bunch of cursed spirits before the culling games started and they didn’t lose, Nanami even left the fight to go link up with Yuji cuz Gojo got sealed, leaving Ino to fight solo. Sukuna got jumped by everyone in the Heian Era nd didn’t lose to them. There are other examples but you get the point.

    Sukuna may be selfish in a sense he doesn't fight for anyone but himself. I unironically find Sukuna's lifestyle to be very selfless. In the Kashimo afterlife scene he explains that he practices his own version of love by killing challengers, he also finds it worthless, but still practices it. People have had selfless ideals for all of human history. Most people in human history have fought for something outside of themselves. Hell the Heian era sorcerers were soldiers for their shogun/emporer. Sukuna on the other hand fights to prove himself against the strong and demands respect from the weak. If the weak (non-sorcerers) are hostile then they are dealt with in kind. The strong (sorcerers) came to him to prove themselves, he showed them who they really were, and if you are a non-hostile sorcerer that has an interesting technique...... You get the Uruame treatment, or you get to show out against the king because you peaked his interest.
