+robball1000 Not the greatest film, but I really did enjoy the starship combat. The ships looked so durable, powerful, yet incredibly agile and fast. No capital ships broadsiding each other (ala Star Wars). This was something else entirely, a ruthless blend of grace, technique, and agility.
To the capt & cmdr: On basing the ship off the Dominion designs, didn't Data say in Nemesis that Shinzon was a capable battle commander who fought and won like a dozen engagements in The Dominion War? We know Sisko captured a Jem'Hadar beetle-ship, so maybe the Romulans or Remans captured a warship.
To build a Battleship of this scale in secret, and in such a short time, I would suggest the Remans captured a Dominion Battleship hull and rebuilt it :)
There seems to be a lot of discussion in the comments but Nemesis IS post dominion war, they mentioned it in the movie. Praetor Shinzon actually fought in the war, it was there he distinguished himself as a brilliant tactician and gathered enough followers to lay the foundation to his rebellion.
I would not be averse to an Eaglemoss Special Edition Model one of these at all. It really closely resembles the Dominion Battleships more than I'd previously noticed though. The winglets at the back the swept down main wings and the pronged nose all really similar to that in style. I guess it's because they are both John Eaves designs too,
Maybe you guys mentioned it, but even though it's a Reman battleship (owned and used by the Remans), it seems pretty clear to me that it was a secret project from Romulan scientists and military. They collaborated with Shinzon to replace the Romulan Senate. I don't see how the Remans, who were essentially slave labor at the hands of the Romulans, could have the knowledge and expertise to make such a large ship with more advanced weaponry and shielding along with a perfect cloak. I think it was basically a secret black ops Romulan ship that was developed by the Romulan Imperial Navy using siphoned funds from the Empire without the Senate's knowledge.
One of the most overpowered ship of the 24th Century. Overwhelming firepower, incredible shields, highly maneuverable, and capable of firing all weapons and maintaining shields while cloaked! It has a perfect cloak to boot (could not be detected by tachyons, visual distortions, or its anti-protons). One wonders what this ship would have done to the Dominion had the war still been going on at this time. And then there's the Solar System encompassing Thalaron weapon. Crazy ship. Guys I just had a thought so please reply and help me out on this one: It just came to me, but was Commander D'Natra REALLY there in the end battle to help The Enterprise, or was she hoping there would be enough wreckage or scans available at some point to re-create the Scimitar's technology, but this time for The Romulans? A small possibility I think, but these are Romulans, and Shinzon hated the Romulans so much I doubt that he gave them any more data than they absolutely needed to have.
Not really good will I'd say. I'd say they just realized they lost all their Reman-Noodle slaves and now they would benefit from a trade relationship with The Federation. I think D'Natra is brought up again in the first ST: Titan novel, but I can't remember the context. Anyone here remember it? It might help us with this discussion.

Insurrection, 1998, (2376), was indeed near the end of the war. The Remans probably took the influences from the Dominion super cruiser, which you could do a thing on, but we never actually saw their super battleships in action. From some angles it does look bat like, but I would still say it also looks like a raptor hawk. The Valdore ship is more albatross like with those necks. The Scimitar seems to me even a little owl like, but also like a medium necked western American turkey vulture. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_vulture
All I want to know is how their power core could handle all those weapons, the multiple shields, the Mary Sue cloak, and _a planet-killing thelaron superweapon_ AT THE SAME TIME. What, did they stuff an entire sun in there?! Did we have a low-key Dyson Sphere flying around terrorizing the galaxy?

You are correct Sir. The Torps can be configured just before loading, to have various yields , depending on the mission Perrameters . As Data did when he commanded the Southerland .
I read somewhere that it uses advanced replication technology to assemble the torpedoes then injects the anti-matter and matter into a chamber that has a Magnetic field keeping them apart, so I never understood it either
mbmajor01 - incorrect, the torp casings are pre made, I suppose if their stock runs low they can . but replication uses a lot of energy otherwise dedicated to shields/phasers. that is why they are used for probes and mobile sensors as well. Anti-matter cannot be simply injected that way, all torpedoes get the same load however , its the torpedeo that is configured itself , that selects the amount of matter/antimatter to be combined, the torp itself has magnetic bottles of both mater/antimatter.
Poor worf, that dude has serious Separation issues lol, and he wasn't even promoted after the war to full commander ?? Starfleet your not playing fair lol
52 disruptor banks, 27 photon torpedo bays, primary and secondary shields. This was clearly a ship designed to repel any form of attack even the borg themselves if it comes to it. And I'm not talking about a single borg cube here
Easy...Star Wars Vessels have faster FTL engines(or the Star Wars Galaxy is reaaaaaallllly Small)..but Star Trek Ships have vastly better weapons...Star Destroyers take days to level a planet...a Constitution class vessel a few hours...The Death Star can do it faster, but considering it´s size,it´s a waste of material
Always reminded me of a hornet from the front. But otherwise its definately a bat, batman's ship if he had a starship to captain. Remens are cool, Romulans are kinda swarmy. The flat front hull is cool, its the reason I like the Whitewind cruiser, as my all-time fav Romulan ship.
4:10 In side-canon there was an entire fleet built of them by the Tal Shiar, but Shinzon destroyed the others so that they could not be used against him. 4:35 Well, the Scimitar has got primary and secondary regenerative shielding. 13:13 You mean like the ones in the Countdown comic?
The only advance on the Scemitar from other ships is its Cloaking device in addition to its badass arsenal And yea In addition to firing while cloaked your looking at heavy heavy shielding on this beast.
Technically, the Scimitar can’t fire while completely cloaked. It had to partially decloak to fire its weapons on that portion of the ship where the weapons were located. The Klingon Bird of Prey prototype could fire while completely cloaked and could only do so with their photon torpedoes, and were unable to fire their disrupters.
I always wondered why they cant fire the torpedoes while cloaked anyway..Those things are self propelled, there MUST be a way to launch them by just giving them a push, and a timer on the engine...
First Contact is definitely during or just before the Dominion War as Insurrection is set during the war. The synopsis on Memory Alpha for Insurrection begins "As the Dominion War ravages the Alpha Quadrant..."
The cheese is strong with this one. It's over-armed, over-stylized, Dracula's warehouse on the inside, and crewed by Count Orloks. When you consider that the E-D was evenly matched with a D'deredix and could kick Vor'cha and Galor butt with all of a dozen phasers and torpedo tubes, or that original E was a formidable vessel with maybe just a handful of them, then the Scimitar with 80(!) disruptor "cannons" and torpedo launchers and DOOMSDAY super weapon, for me, is the stuff of adolescent wankery. In INS, Picard asks remember when we used to be explorers; well, remember when Trek at least tried for verisimilitude
*gasps* I thought I was crazy thinking that too about how the Scimitar is similar to the Jem'Hadar battleship. My theory is that the Remans recovered a dead hulk of a Jem'Hadar battleship and built their ship around or based on the original ship structure but made it into their own, this could explain why it would have so much firepower, great hull and shield strength.
I honestly don't see any dominion influence here, lol your like the 100th person that's said this and I still don't see it, am I missing something lol, I just thought the wings where so big because their apart of the weapon
mbmajor01 Well I think it's a recovered Jem battleship because the way the main body looks and because of the mains size. Plus it would make sense due to the fact, if you're wanting to rebel against your oppressors why not use a ship from your oppressors enemy. But that's just a theory. 😉
+Captain Lokiawa it has logic behind it tuvok would apropos big I have no idea how the hell they built and or adapted it in secrete the yard Would have been miles and miles lol forget the ship building the secrete yard that's concealed from praying romulan eyes is the true Goliath here lol
+Captain Lokiawa also off subject here, the dominion do we know what happened to them after the war ? They lost thousands of ships they must have been heavily weakened in the gamma quadrant ?.... Or did we just defeat their alpha forces
+mbmajor01 Yeah that's definitely true about how the Remans managed to build something without their neighbors finding out the noticeable clues. Dominion lose of power: I don't know I'd assume they only lost 30% of their total ships in the Alpha quadrant, 15% in the wormhole (because the Prophets made them go poof), but who knows how many power the Dominion has remaining. I'm sure they still have enough to keep the Gamma quadrant in check.
I don't see any Klingon design to the Scimitar at all, other than the forward and downward swept wings. If anything, it resembles the Romulan Winged Defender, just massively scaled up.
I can think of one enemy that the federation would authorize the use of Thalaron weapons... the Borg. If the Scimitar was to use it's Thalaron pulse weapon on a borg cube, every drone would lose their organic components and be rendered useless. Allowing the good guys to destroy the ship at their own time.
mbmajor01 Yeah you'd think that as more power goes to the shields, the more power you'd need to cloak the ship, and even more so once they start firing weapons. It's like an infinite increase. They also seemed to have powerful sensors while cloaked too, since they were able to target, lock-on, and powerfully hit specific systems- most notably targeting the Enterprise's engines and disabling warp drive with the very first attack; even The Borg couldn't do that to the Enterprise-D. They could have perhaps explained it simply with some throw-away line about the Thelaron Core producing the power they needed, but the writers couldn't even be bothered to do that. But hell they can't even remember how many decks Enterprise-E has so maybe my expectations are too high.
+dratheart we shall not talk about the enterprise-E phantom decks lol it's a taboo subject lol,.... And yeah I thought this is why you can't cloak shields and fire at the same time, because you need more power to cloak the energy signature then need more to compensate for the more you needed to cloak the more power your trying to cloak and so forth and so on and on and on etc and after two romulan warbirds and the enterprise battering the scimitar for over an hour, their shields where still at 75% ? Lol what is it.......
+dratheart oh and as for taking out their warp drive last time I looked lol the enterprises warp core isn't in the saucer lol, I never got that how did you disable the warp drive by hitting the saucer lol
Well the plasma is stored in the nacelles and warp core, and the EPS (Energized Plasma System I think) relays that plasma for power to the rest of the ship. So if you target the nacelles, OR knock out a Primary Plasma Conduit (like how the Kazon do in Voyager's "Basics Part 1: on Deck 8) then you can get the warp drive to fail or knock out primary power all over a starship, I believe. Also, if you can successfully collapse a warp field another way, that could do it to. Mind you, they should have written that into the scene to tell us that.
I dislike it. It is a nice design, as one would expect from John Eaves, but I don't like the reasoning behind it. Just like I didn't like making the bad guys look like Count Orlok - it's so cheesy. If the Scimitar was a retrofitted Jem'Hadar battleship then it would have made for a very interesting back story. It'll actually make sense. As it stands it just seems unlikely that an army of slaves could have constructed the galaxy's biggest and most dangerous warship in secret, from scratch. Tactically it doesn't make sense either. It's far more efficient to build a fleet of small, potent frigates than one single dreadnought. But I guess that wouldn't have been as dramatic.
From what I understand of lore outside of the movies, didn't Shinzon originally discover plans for this ship that was being built by the romulans at a secret base? He had one of his own ships built somehow and then destroyed the the other ships so that he was the only one? I believe that implies that this was originally a Romulan ship design all along.
The scimitar was only one ship to show that they wouldnt be put down and be frightening. If they had a dozen romulan warbirds and one got destroyer in a conflict then the romulans would have no hesitation to destroying the others. Because it is a single ship that doesnt seem to take any damage makes them hesitate combating it
The ship does its job, looking big and pointing many aggressive pointy parts toward the enemy. But it is not impressive. It could be the top warship of any aggressor species-of-the-week in almost any SF space series.
The Federation could easily build an even more powerful ship, but because they are supposed to be peaceful, they won’t. The Federation has far superior shielding (transphasic), far superior phased cloaking, more powerful pulse phaser cannons (used only on Defiant class starships), 2nd generation quantum torpedos, type 14 phasers, and second generation ablative armor. So yes, if the Federation didn’t have bullshit politics to deal with, they could build the most powerful starship in the Galaxy.
This vs the Imperial Death Stars. Do not use disruptors, do not use torpedoes. Cloak. Stay on opposite side of superlaser. Charge Thalaron Weapon. Fire. Boom. Now you own a Death Star. 😂
-Not arguably. The Scimitar is outrageously THE most powerful ship in Star Trek. After taking 9 Quantum torpedoes and a myriad of phasers and photon torpedoes from Enterprise and Two Warbirds Scimitar maintained a shield strength of 75% Estimated shield power is 400 thousand Petawatts. A borg cube took as much as 45,000 PW's from 40 Federation starship Even if you double their average fire power or number of ships it still comes less than a quarter of the fire power can take. Frankly nothing should have beat it. =Sovereign est. Shields: 2,944 PW's = Jem Hadar Battleship est. shields: 12,288 PW's =Borg Cube est. 45,008 PW's -Good observation Samuel this is inspired by a bat. First time I've noticed that.
See my full Research on STExcalibur Forums. www.stexcalibur.com/forum/index.php/topic,7941.100.html Visit the 7-9 page to see the Faq Sheets. No borg data was recorded because it's only estimated variables. But Remember that that after the Nemesis battle Scimitar still had 75% shields. Also Keep in mind that that it's shields are thousands of times more powerful than it's weapons.
The similarities between the Jem'Hadar warships and the Scimitar further support my personal theory that the Romulans (in conjunction with the Remans) are copycats when it comes to their ship designs.
I'd buy that, they do come from the same star system, so their tech must be similar, which raises the question..... Why didn't the two warbirds stay cloaked whilst attacking the scimitar?..... I don't believe that romulans would allow someone so close to have such superior technology to them arms race sort of speak
+Lee mcateer Yeah how many Dozens of ships would a fan want before they go the glory of the Malon Export Freighter. Why would you even make that BEFORE the Devore ship anyway - that is a much better looking Voyager show ship and it was in more than one Episode too. And where is the Klingon D-5 ? The Shuttles sold like Hotcakes and yet the only other shuttle they plan to make is the ablative armour one - odd that.
Love this ship. Love everything about it. It's mean. She's not pretty, or majestic looking, she's not meant to be. Predator was an apt description, this ship is like a puma over a lion. Sure a lion looks fierce, but you don't see the Puma coming. The movie has a lot of faults, but the scimitar? I paid a lot of money to own one in STO. I have to justify my spending :D
Compare main body of the Scimitar to the Main body of the E, the E is a small ship. The only thing that makes the E "big" is that the nacelles are extended so far back, but they are not usable space. The E is small compared to the D, the nacelles mess up the perspective for the E and make it appear larger that it actually is.
"Small"...4th largest in habitable volume after the "city ships" Galaxy, Nebula, Ambassador. That's far from small by any means. You can squeeze all of Voyager in the saucer alone with room to spare.
I was underwhelmed when I saw it. It's a slightly tweaked Dominion battle cruiser. Also just noticed that the bat-like silhouette of the ship was because Remans are cave dwelling bat-looking people. I swear the designers of these ships think that these movies are kids cartoons and have to dumb it down for children.
Well...i trust in Beta canon,in that the Scimitar was a Romulan design(and considering that the Klingon BoP was originally supposed to be a romulan vessel, even the BoP like appearance makes sense)...Even the damn Thalaron Generator makes sense IF the Scimitar was originally Romulan..Designed a Super Warbird, failed at killing the Changelings with traditional ones..Put a Weapon onboard that can and WILL kill all organic matter, like a massive puiddle of Changelings
I personally dont tie in the Dominion Wars with the Scimitars design.. You guys have no clue. No offense intended but I grew up with TNG . TOS. And Voyager . Which were my preferences
Firing while cloaked by itself is not that great advantage. However firing while cloaked and using transporters to beam Torps into space at the enemy is a tactical advantage, and until they figure out how to beam a mega phaser blast , that will enhance advanced combat tactics. My reasoning is that you can still detect where a torp or phaser beam originates from, an extrapolate the location to aim for.
I think tactically the scimitar is a poor design choice. It's bulky, not very maneuverable, even a battleship needs to be sleek and have a small cross section, just brimming with weapons and big guns.
Keep in mind it's a mobile supper weapon I think it's designed to just go in head first totally obliterate a target whilst taking punishment in one pass
What else would you expect people to call it when the only backstory it gets establish it as a Romulan ship that was stolen by the Remans with nothing suggesting it was designed by the Remans? I'd be more surprised if people DIDN'T consider it a Romulan ship.
I have to strongly dislike this design for a variety of reasons. To avoid eyestrain I will limit myself to ten. (Not in any necessary order) 1. It's got a "perfect" cloak that allows you to fire all your weapons while still cloaked. 2. It's got a bajillion weapons that can fire while cloaked. 3. It has multiple cloaking devices, meaning it can lose cloak over a section and still keep other parts hidden. 4. It has shields that are raised WHILE cloaked. (The sheer amount of power required to use a cloak is staggering, imagine how much power is going into this and everything above) 5. Probably has ablative armor. 6. Oh it's also a troop transport and fighter carrier in addition to being a super battleship. 7. Let's add into the fact that it has a bloody doomsday weapon on top of that! 8. Desperately in need of an interior decorator. 9. Can outrun a Sovereign-class while cloaked. (Even tho it has been consistently stated that Federation ships are faster) 10. Remans don't surf! (A slave race doesn't tend to have that sort of uber advanced tech laying about.. maybe they went to radio shack?) I refuse to call this the Scimitar, it's the SS Mary Sue because of the reasons above.
+Mariah Sinclair (Mariahsyn) 5. I think that Worf would have mentioned that in his tactical analysis. As far as the canon Star Trek-universe goes ablative armor has been suggested to be a Federation-only technology.
+TheCastellan haha "make it so"... lol, infact i would rather listen to data's poetry about spot than watch a JJ movie, ( JJ Abrams Star Trek for non Star Trek fans) lol
I'm not a great fan of this ship and hate the movie it comes from. It's almost as bad as JJ Trek, and they killed Data off, one of my all time favourite ST characters. Sorry for sounding bitchy, but I've just seen the teaser trailer for the new series and wasn't impressed.
I really really hate the design of the Nemesis. It doesn't say romulans or reemans, it's not very Trek either, it's more fitting on a show like Andromeda or Stargate. It really looks like the writers and designers were lazy. As a producer (which I am not ) I would have not approved this ship, would have smashed the model and told the designers to start again.
The British guy always sounds like he is talking with marbles in his mouth. Enunciate and slow down man I can only understand about 50% of what you are saying. Or just have the other guy do all of the talking because I know I am missing good info because you don't speak clearly.
My first thought was "How in gods name did the Remans build this in secret"

To me, it looks like the Klingon Empire and the Dominion collaborated on a ship design.
52 disruptor, 27 torpedo tubes... :)
Primary and secondary shields ...

It has a nice combat profile for attack presenting minimal target while coming straight at you a true warship

Sadly,Eaglemoss screwed up in Making the Enterprise E,Valdore and Scimitar in the same scale :D
The first time i saw this ship...it sent a chill down my spine and i said to my self...."i want one."
the Scimitar is the Remans putting all their eggs in one basket, and its one hell of a basket.
The reactions of the Enterprise-E's bridge crew when this decloaked and they scanned it said it all.

It's 4 years after the Dominion War I think. The war ended in 2375 and this is 2379.

One of my favorite designs in Treck, even if it isn't perfect.
How would it compare to a star wars star destroyer or death star?
Easy...Star Wars Vessels have faster FTL engines(or the Star Wars Galaxy is reaaaaaallllly Small)..but Star Trek Ships have vastly better weapons...Star Destroyers take days to level a planet...a Constitution class vessel a few hours...The Death Star can do it faster, but considering it´s size,it´s a waste of material
Space vampires built a bat shaped ship you say? That would seem to makes sense.
It kinda does have that bat shape in a way yes plus the scheme being dark which does make sense, but it's a warbird though.
Even if it's shields where down i can still see it being able to take a beating no problem
Love this ship. Sucks that you have to be a Romulan to play it in STO. I don't have time for that.
I know EXACTLY what you mean, lol.... I would play a Romulan character but I Bloody HATE HATE HATE the whole nimbus missions seriously must avoid lol
I think Nemesis is post Dominion War, I think it's mentioned in Insurrection though.
+Mork_of_Ork2001 yea I though it was in 2379
+Mork_of_Ork2001 actually I think even First contact is Post Dominion War...the Defiant being in that fight is a prime example of that
+SuperGamefreak18 the Defiant in first contact has NX 74205 & stardate 50893.5 puts it in the 2373
Josh Street point taken...
I honestly don't see any dominion influence here, lol your like the 100th person that's said this and I still don't see it, am I missing something lol, I just thought the wings where so big because their apart of the weapon
mbmajor01
Well I think it's a recovered Jem battleship because the way the main body looks and because of the mains size.
+mbmajor01
Yeah that's definitely true about how the Remans managed to build something without their neighbors finding out the noticeable clues.
52 disruptor banks 27 photon torpedo launchers.
Firing while cloaked AND with their deflector shields still up, at full power too!
Primary and secondary shields remember how they mask a power signature that big is beyond me
mbmajor01
Yeah you'd think that as more power goes to the shields, the more power you'd need to cloak the ship, and even more so once they start firing weapons. They could have perhaps explained it simply with some throw-away line about the Thelaron Core
producing the power they needed, but the writers couldn't even be bothered to do that.
2002, late 02 is when it came out...57 disruptors, 29 photon torpedo banks!!!
The scimitar was only one ship to show that they wouldnt be put down and be frightening. If they had a dozen romulan warbirds and one got destroyer in a conflict then the romulans would have no hesitation to destroying the others. Because it is a single ship that doesnt seem to take any damage makes them hesitate combating it
It essentially has the resources of a dozen ships pulled into one
When I look at this ship I almost see a starting point for the Narada
I ask that you do the STO ship the Mogh Battlecruiser
Hey, Stuart Foley, the Trailer new Star Trek series just was announced !!!! I saw it on polygon .
i read somewhere that the basis of the scimitar was the stripped hull of a dominion dreadnought.
can it have shields while cloaked? if it can shoot and use shields while cloaked then it's truly perfect cloak
The ship does its job, looking big and pointing many aggressive pointy parts toward the enemy. But it is not impressive. It could be the top warship of any aggressor species-of-the-week in almost any SF space series.
There are different types of Scimitar on Star Trek Online
There have been 2 variants of it, while 3 new warbird designs came in as well too.
the vengeance should have been a defiant class
This ship is badass as hell.
Do the Excalibur, I cannot find much information on it.
Remans may have adopted some ideas from encounters with Jem' Hadar
The Federation could easily build an even more powerful ship, but because they are supposed to be peaceful, they won’t. The Federation has far superior shielding (transphasic), far superior phased cloaking, more powerful pulse phaser cannons (used only on Defiant class starships), 2nd generation quantum torpedos, type 14 phasers, and second generation ablative armor. So yes, if the Federation didn’t have bullshit politics to deal with, they could build the most powerful starship in the Galaxy.
it has 52 disuptor cannons, 27 burst photon torpedo bays, primary & secondary shields. & its also a death star. IT"S the BATSHIP!!!!
It looks like a giant Maquis Raider.
Shields: 2,944 PW's
= Jem Hadar Battleship est. shields: 12,288 PW's
=Borg Cube est. 45,008 PW's
-Good observation Samuel this is inspired by a bat. First time I've noticed that.
+saquist Great analysis and thanks! It seems so obvious when i noticed it!
+power543 Agreed. Now thats all I see! LOL
+saquist Just shows the writers suffer a severe case of munckinism.

Visit the 7-9 page to see the Faq Sheets. No borg data was recorded because it's only estimated variables. But Remember that that after the Nemesis battle Scimitar still had 75% shields. Also Keep in mind that that it's shields are thousands of times more powerful than it's weapons.
I mean yeah that's probably accurate, though let's face it most of this comes down to plot convenience.
My first thought was "holy s***!"
The similarities between the Jem'Hadar warships and the Scimitar further support my personal theory that the Romulans (in conjunction with the Remans) are copycats when it comes to their ship designs.
+CIarKent I thought the same thing
I'd buy that, they do come from the same star system, so their tech must be similar, which raises the question..... Why didn't the two warbirds stay cloaked whilst attacking the scimitar?..... I don't believe that romulans would allow someone so close to have such superior technology to them arms race sort of speak
mbmajor01
I got the impression that the Scimitar was one-of-a-kind and that this Reman ship didn't share tech with the regular Romulan fleet.
Why the hell aren't there no plastic or resin models of this ship I love it
I actually liked this ship, though an actual problem though is that this ship is slow as hell. For good reason given it’s a dreadnaught.
Looks like a Star Craft Wraith 11:00 (Bat'ish)
This ship looks like the ship from the game Descent,...
Still waiting for eaglemoss to give us a model of this awesome ship, and stop wasting issues on cargo ships
If you look on their website they are currently selling a special edition oversize model of the Scimitar for 50$. Congratulations, you got your wish
@@nefariousgremlin7554 Too bad they missed the chance to make it the same scale as the Enterprise E :D
Scimitar VS Tactical Cube.
Nemesis takes place four years after the dominion war ends.
do the Excalibur please please
The movie takes place after the Dominion War.
+Walter Payne Yep definetly
Well...i trust in Beta canon,in that the Scimitar was a Romulan design(and considering that the Klingon BoP was originally supposed to be a romulan vessel, even the BoP like appearance makes sense)...Even the damn Thalaron Generator makes sense IF the Scimitar was originally Romulan..Designed a Super Warbird, failed at killing the Changelings with traditional ones..Put a Weapon onboard that can and WILL kill all organic matter, like a massive puiddle of Changelings
like to see the enterprise j single shot this scimitar perhaps in sto
+Mark Plott It was maneuverable enough in the movie.
I bet it turns like a slug. Bigger just means more to shoot at.
+Mark Plott Not really, this is a ship made by advanced aliens, I can imagine it doing barrel rolls if need be :D
Keep in mind it's a mobile supper weapon I think it's designed to just go in head first totally obliterate a target whilst taking punishment in one pass
Babylon 5 - Shadow ships...check them out
Shes such a badass!!!
I really hate it when people refer this Reman Warbird as a Romulan Ship and call it a Romulan Warbird when it isn't kinds rubs me wrong.
Yes but still it as its core isn't Romulan but copy it yeah.
+baltic1284 Me too!
What else would you expect people to call it when the only backstory it gets establish it as a Romulan ship that was stolen by the Remans with nothing suggesting it was designed by the Remans?
I'd be more surprised if people DIDN'T consider it a Romulan ship.
this is totaly batman;s ship
👍🏻
I have to strongly dislike this design for a variety of reasons. To avoid eyestrain I will limit myself to ten. (Not in any necessary order)
(The sheer amount of power required to use a cloak is staggering, imagine how much power is going into this and everything above)
(Even tho it has been consistently stated that Federation ships are faster)
10. Remans don't surf! (A slave race doesn't tend to have that sort of uber advanced tech laying about.. maybe they went to radio shack?)
I refuse to call this the Scimitar, it's the SS Mary Sue because of the reasons above.
+Mariah Sinclair (Mariahsyn)
5. I think that Worf would have mentioned that in his tactical analysis. As far as the canon Star Trek-universe goes ablative armor has been suggested to be a Federation-only technology.
+Mariah Sinclair (Mariahsyn) I couldnt agree more this is one of my least favourite ships for the reasons you listed.
Enterprise-H Okay so I can change number five to drab colour pallet, better? =P
+Mariah Sinclair (Mariahsyn) It's obviously powered by Omega Particles.
+Mariah Sinclair (Mariahsyn) When is it stated that Fed ships are faster?
no its not a battle shit is a star destroyer .... wait wrong show
An excessive, goofy ass looking bad guy starship design, but a cool looking one nonetheless.
CBS Star Trek Series teaser is out.
ruclips.net/video/xXpPweAooeE/видео.html
I liked Nemesis myself. Far better than JJ's.....Trek knockoff.
Watching Picard drinking his cup of tea for 2 hours is preferable to JJ
mbmajor01
Quite so. :D And Tea's good. :)
+TheCastellan haha "make it so"... lol, infact i would rather listen to data's poetry about spot than watch a JJ movie, ( JJ Abrams Star Trek for non Star Trek fans) lol
mbmajor01
JJ Trek is Trek in NAME ONLY. Merely an action film for the reality TV squad.
+TheCastellan hahah keeping up with the kirks lol
I'm not a great fan of this ship and hate the movie it comes from. It's almost as bad as JJ Trek, and they killed Data off, one of my all time favourite ST characters.
Sorry for sounding bitchy, but I've just seen the teaser trailer for the new series and wasn't impressed.
First!
Commander could you slow down and actually pronounce your words without eating them up ?
I really really hate the design of the Nemesis. It doesn't say romulans or reemans, it's not very Trek either, it's more fitting on a show like Andromeda or Stargate. It really looks like the writers and designers were lazy. As a producer (which I am not ) I would have not approved this ship, would have smashed the model and told the designers to start again.
I ment to say the Scimitar not nemesis.
too much stufff in the screen
The British guy always sounds like he is talking with marbles in his mouth. Enunciate and slow down man I can only understand about 50% of what you are saying. Or just have the other guy do all of the talking because I know I am missing good info because you don't speak clearly.
the other guy eats too much
Prince Noctis how did these two dorks become so popular
