    This is why ppl should put respect on Elaine’s name. You think it’s easy to double in the 100/200m AND win gold in both AND do it for back to back Olympics? Shacarri is talented, but surpassing some of the greatest accomplishments in the sport is going to take a lot more than just a lot of talking by the US media.

      Hey bro "Peter" for whatever its worth 😢, thats the second time i have seen "Sha-Sha" blow her right- full place on the track 👣 of speed, she's the only track & field runner i've been observing from afar who when it comes right down to winn- ing & loosing, well, all i can say is "WOW", the choices she has thus far made in her young career; Who makes the kind of decisions that tiny speed ball has made, & that willingly, she has lost in great races because of her choice, & i'm pretty sure i've figured out her inner motive's, you see 👀 "Peter" she's torn between two loves👉 human👉🫂👈 & track, she blew that race "Peter" today, & only she knows why & me as a fan maybe, yes exp- erienced some what, watching her body language & my understand- ing of sprinting mechanics; tell you a little secret "Peter", she just super floated 🛫🛫 around the turn as she caught "McKenzie" going around the turn into the straight & then relaxed as the two dueled, & then while in the straight she just sort of supervised the rest of the way to make sure the teenager got that 3rd place as she completely backed off, but before she did, she l👀ked over to the other side checking making sure of her place & the kid & then make the team 👌🏻🤷; i know, i heard your every opinion "Peter", but just between me & you "Sha-Sha" could have beat "Gabby" last season but she decided not to run down "Miss. Jackson", not that she would have other wise, but i can assure you had she not had other motive's that 2 💯 that night would have been far far closer my friend; O also "Peter", "Gabby" in my opinion cannot beat "Miss.Jackson" in the 2 hundred under no circumstances & if "Sha-Sha" ever finally decides to run the damn thang "Gabby" will not beat her either, in my imagina- tion i firmly believe that if "Sha-Sha" really would turn on & fully run that 2 hundred she would easily be one of the fastest 2 💯 women in the 👉 🌏 right now, again "Peter" i know her potential & she is still playing around in that 2 💯 bro, she all but quit the race, that was very disappointing for me to witness, cause that's her second time doing it, making silly sacifices for other thangs😢!!! Peter, thank you so much! I couldn't agree with you more. I'm an avid fan of Sha'Carri but I'm also fair and realistic. She is 'ill-advised' to always attempt the 200-meter distance. I have said over a period of time that she is NOT a Natural 200 meter runner. Her stature, natural form and overall cadence does not allow her to be great at 200 meters for now. The only time she can or may show some improvement would be if she dedicated one solid year to 200 meters and masters it without running the 100. But when she enthusiastically tries to double up, her little body will fail her. I think she should for now just concentrate on the 100 and aim to improve her start to allow her to be even faster at that shorter distance.

      @PaulCyrus 8 дней назад +2

      There's only one Elaine the missile Thompson. But It's good to see Sha'Carri mature into an awesome sprinter and the 100m is the uniquely outstanding star event of the Olympics. She needs to work on her starts, but she'll be hard to beat in the 100m in Paris. Point taken about cadence but the fastest speeds are associated with the greater step frequencies. She has a tendency to fade in the last few meters of the 200 m, but with the right training and exercise, she can improve her stamina and increase endurance and energy level.

    • @kojoharrison630
      @kojoharrison630 7 дней назад

      @@PaulCyrus Absolutely Paul 👍. And you are echoing exactly what I was driving at. So you mentioned her needing further training; the right 200-meter training and needing time to do that...which leads to improvements in that event. These mean that she needs to improve her 'Speed Endurance'. All-In-All, I'm glad she can now focus solely on the 100 meters in Paris and give it all it requires in order to win. Take great care Paul.

      I guess we will never know; but, Congratulations to the three ladies who made it in the 200m AND, I'm glad the young lady kept her promise to her deceased mom, RIP.

  • @andyprice9159
    @andyprice9159 7 дней назад +2

    I respect your point, Peter Lloyd, but I can't entirely agree with it. Sha'Carri would have beaten Brittany Brown and McKenzie Long had she managed her rounds properly. She was sprinting in the rounds for no reason, leaving everyone far behind. She exhausted all her energy well before the finals. This was a tactical failure, not a reflection of her inability to compete in the 200m races. Go watch the rounds again, and you will see what I am talking about. She should have just run to qualify for the semi-finals and finals, but she ran every round as if it were the final. As a result, she ran much slower in the final (22.16) than she did in the rounds; Brittany and McKenzie's times in the final were almost the same as Sha'Carri's time in the semifinal. She ran out of gas because she expended too much energy in the earlier rounds. The coach must provide better guidance on managing the rounds; 200m is a significantly longer distance, and she needs to master the proper technique to conserve energy and peak at the finals.

They have been working on changing her execution to save her energy then fight to the end and catch people, instead of her usual plan to jump out hard and fight to hold on. She was already safe using her original execution, which would’ve gotten her no worse than second place. However, in the heats, she ran her usual way, in the semis she switched it and it seemed to work, and now she tried her new execution in the final to see if she could win it all and lost. This is on her coach. She wasn’t burned out…it was merely an execution error.

      @@dollydeparee21 no she was just using it as training. But you're right about the risking injury part because she wants to make sure she gets a gold medal in the 100m. That's one of the reasons she was not running 200 m leading up to the trials. But she was smart enough to make sure she was entered into the 200-meter trials just in case something didn't go right in the 100m like Christian Coleman but unfortunately he didn't make it in the 100 or the 200. Ms Richardson is very goal oriented and she will train for the 200 m after she completes her goal of getting a 100 m gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
