- In this video, we explore the life story of Sha’Carri Richardson. An emerging champion of the Olympic sprint. She is the fastest woman in the United States. She won the 100m sprint just as a teenager. When Sha’Carri’s mother died, she was devastated. She started taking drugs to cope with the pressure and that almost ruined her career. She was suspended by USADA and had to miss the 2022 Olympics. In 2023, she came back even stronger, breaking records. Usain Bolt helped her regain her confidence. Sha’Carri is known for being very vocal in the media and for her eccentric outlook of coloured hair and long nails.

One thing we as black Americans do is stand our ground in the face of white supremacy. You Jamaicans do as you’re told. When they say shut up and run that’s exactly what you guys do.
They (the world) hates us so much because we are fighters, warriors and we speak up and speak out no matter what and that’s why Sha’Carri gets so much flack!
It’s just so sad that black people from other countries don’t have that kinda fight in them towards the colonizers like we do. One think you need to remember, we’re not running for the oppressors, we are running for ourselves and our black American brothers and sisters who are alone in this world and only have each other to root for.

Her Mom passed away a week before the Olympic trials, and she dealt with things in the only way she knew how. She didn't act or say the most perfect things during that time. She used the legal in Oregon substance of marijuana to help her cope - it's not a performance enhancer to make her faster so no competitive edge. Last season was bad as she tried to get better (not come back) and didn't perform well. But deep down she believed in herself, even when the media found every way to knock her down.
She ripped off her wig as a symbol of change (in my opinion) at a past meet. She wanted to prove things to herself, and in this World Championship, she 100% did. It was very inspirational, and a bit emotional too. She showed maturity, strength, and resolve. I am so happy for her. And as always where there are haters, they can now go pound sand.

I just watched her sprints in the world athletics and she seems to start not so good but towards the end (about 50 or 40 meters) her speed and skill becomes flawless. Special athlete with more to come. If she continues working hard, there's no record she won't break.

She is very inspiring, she just shows that rising after a fall or hard life is possible. People should not criticize her for fighting battles in her life and winning/losing, they should be inspired by her perseverance. Like everyone else, she is on a learn-as- you process in life. Having said this, lets take it the biblical way: 'Let everyone who think they are 100% right in life, never made mistakes, and are without blemishes, cast the first stone'.
