I'm so pissed that run was a little bit windy, because had she run to the line (obviously, no point doing so there) and that been 2.0 wind, she would've likely gone sub 10.6.

Lookin at Sha’carrii old interviews from HS, AAU, college, HS signing and first turning pro, Sha’carrii was a totally different person. She was nothing like she is now. She was respectful, humble, giddy and full of life. She even was referring to Shelly Ann as Mrs. Shelly and sung Shelly praises. She hugged and shook hands afterward and hugged her competition. Between her switching from her college coach to Dennis Mitchell her whole personality changed. I believe this coach molded her mind into this person that she is now

Wow...this was 3 years ago. The creator of this video must have seen a track superstar back then. And congrats to her becoming an Olympian, all her wins and making the team to Tokyo.
The strange thing about track is distance training work for some coaches, as with others they don't use it at all. A successful coach has his or her methods and there is no right r wrong, its following the coaches training to get maximum output. distance running never hurt, especially in off season.
And then a coach gets an athlete that is so talented no matter how awful that coach is the athlete still succeeds. Like how in less than a year this kid takes .4s off her PR on the way beating all the athletes who made the USA junior squad over her. I’m saying her coaches at this school were lucky, not good.
It builds endurance and is necessary for all runners.
I don't think I knew who she was until I watched a clip with her walking down the anchor legs in a 4x1 college relay (I was like "who the hell is this!). I decided to look her up and here I am!
