      I am so touched by Mackenzie Long's story. Losing her mom....
      I have been following her achievements for 6 years now. Some write Sha Carri Richardson slowed down so Mackenzie could go to the Olympics. I do not know, but it would be a wonderful gesture by Sha Carri. Sha Carri knows she cannot medal at 200.The final will be so intense. I wish gold for Gaby, silver for Shericka and bronze for Mackenzie. But of course, Julien can also medal. And i really want a medal for Julien Alfred.

    Gabby Thomas was definitely expected. The other two were a surprise. That’s why you have to actually run the race. The US is one of the very few nations that gives the entire selection process to the athletes and lets them decide on the track. It definitely produces surprises an disappointments, but it is ultimately the fairest system. Congratulations to all three new members of the US Olympic team.

    Best thing that could have happened to Richardson. She’s gonna need her legs to beat the Jamaicans. This is why Noah will struggle. And why bolt is the only Olympic individual event short sprint double champ. with the pressure and heats to manage, him not able to manage his profession going 19.5 on accident then havjng to win with a big finish and lean. Richardson can now just focus on the 100. I hope Noah is ready. Bc he’s been in this exact spot going in as the favorite after posting the world lead at trials only to get cooked in the games. Richardson needs all she has to beat Jackson whose running 10.8 into headwinds and has tapered herself incredibly well this year

    It was nice to see her competing again, but Steiner isn't fully back from injury and it shows. She does not have that extra gear, that closing speed she had in 2021. She needs to focus and get prepared for the 2025 World Championships in Japan.

    In my personal opinion, I don't think Sha' Carri was interested in making the 200 team as she stopped pushing in the last meters. She probably used these 200 races as part of her training. But It's ok, she can concentrate on her main event and the short relay. What a great athlete! Congratulations to Thomas, Brown and Long!

    Gabby with the WIN as expected, she really crushes the turn into the 100m stretch. Brittany and Mackenzie well deserved to run in Paris. Abby needs to think about taking the 400m seriously, not going to be a major short sprint contender.

    • @hardknocks06
      @hardknocks06 5 месяцев назад +1

      I was thinking the same thing. The 200 is extremely tough, but Abby can run a mean 400

    • @uksoul2001
      @uksoul2001 5 месяцев назад

      @@hardknocks06 Yeah, she can crush a 400 and it is her best chance of getting to the OG individually.

    • @Voldrani
      @Voldrani 5 месяцев назад

      Abby hasn't come close to her 200m Personal Best from 2022. So strange. She's much more capable than what she's actually running. Maybe she needs a busier schedule like in college to get her legs going.

    • @younghegelian1
      @younghegelian1 5 месяцев назад

      @@Voldrani logical reason is that 2022 was her last year of college and that, she most likely started doping somewhere around then, which is quite easy to do since they don't test you that much there, and which caused the big improvements to the 2022 season. no shade on her, lots of people do it. going pro and entering the testing pool means the regiment is much harder to keep up, which would explain her subsequent regression. it's a pattern you see in many college athletes. therefore it's unlikely that she ever gets back to her 2022 shape.

    • @Voldrani
      @Voldrani 5 месяцев назад

      @@younghegelian1 You might be on to something, actually. She was much more jacked in 2022 than she is now. Shoulders were huge. No shade here either. That time-period in baseball was my favorite. I'm all about seeing ultimate human performance. I don't care where it comes from. "What are we capable of" intrigues me.
