That game scarred me as a kid. My grandma got it for my dad and she knew we liked Felix the cat. She was getting older and we got that version. My dad broke the game after I ran screaming after the game over screen.
The Felix the Cat image is indeed fanart. It was made for a shirt if I recall correctly. I don't really know who would want to wear that in public... or in general, even.
The game over screen from Felix the cat was taken from an unnofficial T-shirt titled "Felix Unmasked". It's common for BMB (the developer of that port) to steal bizarre assets to use on their bootlegs, that includes violent pictures of famous characters dying which they use for some of their games. They did the same thing with two Mario bootlegs they made called "Mario 3: Around the world" and "Mario 4: A space odyssey".
Actually, Dick Tracy is kinda insane with the stuff he survives, he has a whole wiki page with all the injuries he's ever had. I think his co-workers would be flabbergasted he died from a simple gunshot.

When I saw felix in the thumbnail, I already knew you will talk about that Russian bootleg game over screen. Edit: I did not know the bootleg was a port.
A lot of russian bootlegs have terrifying game over screens. There’s a genesis mario game that has a game over screen that shows a blooper on his face and a piranha plant coming out of his stomach! It’s weird how russian bootleggers say “fuck it” and then proceed to give the most scary game over screens ever.
Russian bootleg of Lion King shows Timon digging his own grave, then getting into it and burying himself alive somehow (ok, this is kinda hilarious in a cartoon sense, since it's basically impossible to do), Simba hangs himself, and Pumbaa jumps into a pot with boiling water. Idk, guess our black bearded friends wanted to turn us into tough bastards or something, but ебаный стыд, зачем? xD
About that "unnerving demo disc feeling", there's actually a ongoing fan project of annual "Horror PS1 Demo Discs". The catch is that they're not actual PS1 games, they are just recreating the style and are of varying levels of quality but this is a fantastic niche throwback concept.
I... was traumatized in 'Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance' because I kept losing Boyd. Course, back then I was new to strategy, and my heart could not take losing allies again and again... I healed up when I played 'Fire Emblem: Awakening'. At least in Casual Mode defeated allies retreat, except Chrom and Robin, whose defeats STILL trigger a Game Over.
9:41 YES! Those PS1 demo discs were so unnerving to play through! Especially with the context that 3D games were still pretty new. The music was strange, upbeat and created this outwordly ambiance.
Man, you are a great content creator and whatever desicion you take about the future of your channel just let me thank you for all these videos you made in this 2 years I meet you. And congratulations for all your hard work from a latin american viewer.
For those of you who are curious about what Git thinks about the Russian bootleg Felix the Cat game over screen, but don't want to see it (I understand. It honestly scarred me when I saw Connor the Waffle cover it), Here you go! "Well, I can't think of a better time to bring this particular Game Over up, so let's go for it! (Showing the title screen and gameplay of the NES version, of course made by LJN, the title screen involving a basket jumping around, likely containing Felix) Felix the Cat on the NES is a typical but inoffensive platformer you'd expect to see during the genre's height of popularity. (Shows the title screen of the Russian bootleg, where it's Felix standing in his iconic pose that I can never see the same way again) But for some reason, out of every game in existence, someone or something felt it necessary to make a pirate Genesis version of this game! On the gameplay and visual side, it's very faithful to the original, and dare I say it... a little more fun? The music isn't what I'd expect from the Felix series, but to be honest, I'm not an expert on the character to begin with. When you lose all your lives in the NES version, the Game Over screen has Felix getting kicked into the street like the mangy cat he is. (Shows Felix bouncing over to a blue alleyway, with the basket from the title screen) You have the option to pick Continue or End, but if no continues remain, you're forced to choose End and return to the title screen. Perhaps the shot of the still-and-now-forever kidnapped Kitty Kat makes you shed a tear, but with no change in music or anything else to indicate this is the very end of Felix's journey, it does nothing for me. Rolo to the Rescue's Continue screen, this isn't. Perhaps the Captain Blackbeards who made the Genesis "port" agreed... The Continue screen shows a shot of Felix as an angel on a cloud. Okay, that's definitely an improvement. I've talked about how sad and creepy I think it is when video game characters run out of lives and turn into angels in Creepy Bad Endings #74. (Shows gameplay of that one game where you're a caveman fighting dinosaurs, where the player character dies and has an angelic version of them float into the sky) I assume the shot is from an old cartoon where he "humorously dies" and gets sent to Heaven (Meanwhile, I, the guy writing this, am shaking as I'm typing this, dreading when he gets to the Game Over screen) But they still didn't think this was enough - look what happens if you choose or have to end the game now. (Oh boy, here it comes...) (Briefly shows the game over screen, which I'm not even going to describe because you likely already know it and have been similarly scarred, though my dread was far worse than the game over screen itself. Kinda reminds me of the Fearfall at Kentucky Kingdom, where you're slowly raised 150 feet in the air, dreading the inevitable, then suddenly drop and hear everyone else on the ride screaming, and it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought) (And now, after that tangent, back to Git's thoughts, as the screen cuts to black) Why?! Why would he do this? Was the absence of Kitty Kat's love really enough to drive him to such drastic lengths? Maybe he's a Satanist? Where is this picture from? Is it fan art for a Felix the Cat creepypasta, or... actually, on second thought, some things are better unknown. (I hear someone indeed made it as fanart... for a shirt. As scarring as this is, I am impressed. Perhaps I could do something similar to turn that image into something much more goofy) But the scariest part of it all? Since Felix is old enough to be Public Domain, there's nothing stopping anyone from making an official work based on him as gruesome as this! To lighten the mood after THAT, let's check out another bootleg game, but with a funny game over screen instead." (Here's the timestamp: 17:59)
My brother had Flight Simulator for the Genesis when we were younger. That game over screen still haunts my dreams. Like the dream where I turn off the TV just when the game over screen appears but I still hear the flatline.💀😭
For the first one I was expecting something like Red Baron for DOS. You get various fail states such as light crash which might also result in capture and escape or rescue from POW camps. But sometimes you're just flying around then screen fades to red and the Fatal Crash music starts playing, means the pilot themselves got shot and died, which was always disconcerting when it happened.
Finally! A Creepy Bad Endings video with more scary Game Over screens, even the Bootleg Felix one! Not gonna lie, Git, you totally upped the ante with this one!
It gets worse and worse as more of the team dies. I remember PoR was my first SRPG and I had reached Chapter 9 mostly by sheer luck. I never thought of save scumming and figured my characters would come back at some point. I think by that point all I had left alive was just Ike, Titania, and Mia. Everyone else was dead or 'critically injured'.
seeing russian felix was a surprise! I'm also liking the format of you inviting a fellow youtuber (maybe even a friend?) over. It's how I discovered Shyguy!
For a game as silly looking as Felix the cat, i was NOT expecting that. when i tell you my heart skipped a beat, and my eyes were wider then the screen i'm watching this in, i mean it.
Fire Emblem really knows how to tug tears out of your eyes when it comes to its characters, even seeing one have to temporarily retreat makes me feel guilty. Honestly same I refuse to let any of the beans die, that's why I try so hard to recruit everyone I can in Three Houses no matter the route. It really sucks whenever there is one who just isn't recruitable...
I just had a thought with that Jet sim game. The skull on the monitor, those monitors are normally placed at the head of the bed. That might be a reflection of the pilot's face.
I know exactly how you feel regarding those demo discs! I remember mostly having old ps and pc demo discs as a kid, no full games and the odd, unwelcome atmosphere still lingers in the back of my head from time to time. It's this spurning, almost hateful feeling towards the player. It has a leering bitter emptiness to it. Especially if they conclude with a sudden cut to one of those silent and static "buy the full game" screens, a complete contrast to the game you've played beforehand. It would be really interesting to have an actual full game based on that sensation!
I believe the Felix the Cat game over screen is actually a t-shirt design from some website. I saw it once, not entirely sure if that's where it originated first though.
The game over from the first game reminded me of something that sorta haunts me to this day. It was with an SNES game i can't remember the name, but it was a 1st person spacecraft shooter where when you get shot down, it shows a closeup of your pilot while his spaceship explodes and then it shows a military funeral where there's a speech before the soldiers shots upwards and tossing the character's casket into space. Then the game over screen appears. I was around 10 when i played that game and i never played it again, that cutscene traumatised me. But i can't help but wonder what was that game. And by the way, i never expected seeing the "het" being featured here. Game overs from Russian bootlegs are quite something.
Knew just from the thumbnail what the video's about Connor the Waffle covered it a few years back, and I won't ever see that pose the same way again I'll watch the video tomorrow morning, to prevent that bloody game over screen from keeping me up all night. Edit: Now that I think of it, I should use it in a Revengeance status- style video where a fictional character interrupts the game over screen to spare the viewers from seeing it
I have a Creepy Bad Ending of my own to talk about. When I was little, my dad had an Amiga computer, and one of the games for it was The Adventures of Willy Beamish. I could never get past the babysitter, which was quite early in the game. That ending involved the main character being taken away to who-knows-where by the babysitter, who just so happened to be a vampire.
I quite enjoy your crossovers! It's unusual to see it done with text-only videos but it works really well. One thing I might suggest is, perhaps avatars popping up with the text would be smart? The colored text is a good way to differentiate who's talking, but an extra visual detail like that would add some extra definition to that, as well as just more character.
Oh please, you haven't seen anything until you play a certain arcade game that uses FMV, which I don't speak the name of because if I do, it sends shivers down my spine.
I can't believe that you guys had Star Fox here and didn't cover "Out of This Dimension" I find that as creepy as the legitimate Game Over for that game, and I legit cannot remember if it was ever covered in this channel Light spoiler: you and your crewmates take a shortcut on a level and get hyperdrive'd to a place literally out of the Lylat system, where there's no escape. Giant letters spell out "The End.", and the game doesn't go back to the title or locks up, it just keeps going forever. The only thing you can do shoot endless waves of enemies, and nothing else
git covered it before, i think it was on the weirdest levels ever which imo was a bit of a missed opportunity as it is indeed super creepy. although i think fox is the only one sent to it
Only Fox does appear in Out of This Dimension, though Pepper does call out for “Team Star Fox”, suggesting the others are missing as well. Kinda horrifying as you could take that to mean all of them went to separate dimensions or such.
@@ruthmcnally310 They could be in the same place, because Out of This Dimension has no boundaries They could just have been transported to different points in it, with no chance to regroup But either way, I agree, it's an horrifying thought
If I remember correctly, both Titania and Soren have plot armor through most of both games, there's only a select few chapters where they can actually die and its usually like the final chapters of the games. They still do this in some of the newer games, in Three Houses for example, I believe during the academy section of the game, Hubert can't really die at any point, as an enemy, it makes sense since he just retreats like most story related characters you fight several times, but as a playable character its kinda odd, specially if you turn against edelgard during her route and choose to sids with the church instead, as you can theorerically get him killed on purpose the mission before the choice, but he comes back on either route after the timeskip as if nothing happened.
If I remember correctly there are other bootleg games from that pirate group that also feature other violent death screens like Mario being eaten by a Piranha Plant. There's info in the bootleggames wiki, very interesting topic.
Ike is a godamm badass! "Make your peace with whatever the gods worship." could be the coolest single line of any MC in Fire Emblem. And yeah, death quotes in path of radiance and radiant dawn are quite tragic and good material for creepy bad endings. Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows Of Valentia is not far though, as them are fully voice acted!
The best/worst part of SOV is that while plot armour exists for most of the game once you get to endgame it's all gone. EVERYONE is fair game. You could end your play through with just Alm and Celica alive. (Unused voice lines suggest even Celica was on the non game over death chopping block at one point.) Imagine how much worse off Archanea is in Mystery with Camus and the whitewings dying here.
@@Superluigi881No Zeke -> Nyna can't be rescued and dies (I initially thought Ogma and co were also doomed, but Yuliya/Yumina has a Rescue staff) No Catria -> Warren probably dies No Palla or Catria -> No fliers in Chapter 3 -> Village in Chapter 3 is less defensible than the existence of Fire Emblem Heroes -> Julian dies -> Lena can't be rescued and dies + Matthis and Rickard can't be recruited (Except in the remake, you could use reclassed Arran or female Kris) No Est -> Without Est as a hostage, Archanean army has no reason to spare Abel -> Abel dies No Whitewings -> less fliers -> good lord the Wyvern level is going to suuuuuuck
Imagine an alternate realizty in which the Pokémon animé only lasted a handful of episodes, but Fire Emblem animé would still be pumping out new episodes.
Oh come on, how bad could a game over screen for a Felix the Cat game really be- *SWEET JESUS.* Where the hell did they even find an image like that?? Is it something from a creepypasta?
I hear it was made as a design for a shirt, titled "Felix unmasked" Meanwhile, I'm thinking of making my own version where he reveals himself to be Fake Peppino, but disguised as Felix instead of Peppino
That Felix one made me audibly respond to it. I would have taken the time to observe the detail a bit, but I couldn't bring myself to pause it or even roll back the video, I just couldn't do it, that's too fucked up, honestly.
I was like "There's no way the NES game Felix The Cat had a game over that could have creeped out that many people, Nintendo would have eviscerated them." Ah, but bootlegs, they play by different rules. That Corporation Game Over...I HOPE all they were trying to imply was death by claw evisceration. Because it sure as hell comes off more like a "meet your cellmate Bubba" type of deal...
Hey, git, just wanted to stop by and let you know how much i appreciate you and your channel! I know the algorithm and overall views have not been the kindest to your channel, but know that there will always be people watching and loving your content, no matter what.
I don't know if you've covered this one before but in Mighty Max for the Sega Genesis I always got creeped out by the game over screen. The scary looking skeleton face along with the somber music made it so creepy.
That Skeleton is actually Skullmaster, the villain of both the show and the game, he's normally white but the reddish hue the devs gave him caused him to look like a demon
8:12 this is the reason why I tend to leave games on the "Good" ending. I can't have the last time I play a game be the Bad ending because I'd rather leave it on a good note, or at least the "true ending" if the game in question has one. Example: Undertale. Never did the genocide route. It was hinted to me that you'd want to do it as the final run for certain reasons, but after completing the True ending, I never touched it again and I'm happy with my decision.
The Genocide run is boring anyway. Aside from two fun boss fights (that step up the difficulty from the hardest Pacifist fights) it's a boring slog. Being the slasher villain should be FUN, dammit.
25:32 you also get game over from messing up the case by interrogating and/or arresting the wrong suspects.. I believe its three times when you hassle a wrong suspect, Tracy gets scolded by the Chief and gets dropped off the case. Game Over Great work on your vids!
What if I turned the Felix the Cat game over screen into something more goofy? Perhaps instead of ripping off his mask to reveal his skellyman status, instead he reveals himself to be Fake Peppino, but disguised as Felix instead of Peppino? (And of course I'd remove all the gore)
I used to watch your videos a long time ago, but then "lost" you and couldn't remember your handle. But then I found you again, and this time, subscribed, so it doesn't happen again.
A lot of the Russian bootleg games do that. And they take whatever images they can find that suits the continue/game over screen. And also did you know that they also use the same music for most of the bootleg games.
8:42 This reminds me of that crash that you can trigger in Sonic Frontiers Demo in Nintendo Switch (You can trigger it if you makes some bugs to make the first titan spawn in the normal game area and then try to grab the seven chaos emerald but the demo crashes)
15:53 I think, this bootleg port was made by same people who creating Plants vs. Zombies and some other game unofficial ports for Sega Genesis because they all had the same soundtrack...
Honestly, SNES Star Fox seemed more somber than outright scary. Sure, Andross staring into my soul as he does the now-cliche "The galaxy is mine!" pose is something that haunted me as a child. But the game felt...empty if I didn't hear my crew shooting down bogeys or calling for help when they typically did (something you take to memorizing if you sucked as much as I did). Then there's the ending, particularly the general congratulating you during a final revolving shot of the surviving crew. Combined with the music, beating the game with an incomplete crew becomes less of a moment of triumph and relief and more of a somber reminder of the fallen getting into trouble and you not being fast enough to save them. Nowadays, I don't really care about what happens to characters because at the end of the day, they're a work of fiction and little else. But years ago when I practically played this game religiously, this certainly tugged at the heartstrings a bit.
Fun fact: The creator of that bootleg of Felix the Cat made more crappy games, and in all of them there's the same music on the game overs, and some of them being very creppy (Just like the Mario 3 and Mario 4 bootlegs, and the one from the video) He made many of those games.
Hey Whoisthisgit, I see you did a game over for Bootlegged Felix the Cat, now if you want to see some really creepy bad endings, do the Lion King 5 NES Bootleg Game Over with Simba, also you said that seeing beloved characters turning into angels and floating to Heaven freaks you out, well try doing Kirby’s Mass Attack Game Over, in most Kirby Game Overs he is just sleeping, but in Kirby Mass Attack, he turns into an angel and floats in a black void. You have to play those games and get a game over to believe what I am saying, I think they would make good creepy bad endings content for videos.
Speaking of creepy game overs from bootlegs, I highly recommend you to check out Squirrel King, a clone of the Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers games for the Mega Drive/Genesis. When you run out of lives in that game, the continue screen shows Chip and Dale tied up over a fire while insanely stressful music plays and a timer ticks down to 0, like an arcade machine. If nothing else, it's certainly nerve-wracking. The only things detracting from its creepy factor is (1) nothing bad really happens in the timer completely runs out - a door shuts on our heroes and that's basically it. Second, if you have no continues left and you lose your last life, the game will bypass the continue/game over screen and go straight to the title screen. You're not even told that the game is over!
Here's some facts about the F-22 Interceptor game over. First, the 2 crashes you come back from can be theorized to be successful surgeries. The third one is likely the one that was in vain, as too much bodily harm was done. In the game over screen, if you look at the vitals monitor, you can see that it actually has a skull in the background. It also says "All Vitals Signs Flat. Patient Deceased." when the flat-line occurs, which reflects how a flat-line actually functions to some capacity.
I gotta say, the last part with Fire Emblem reminds me of State of Decay 2. The Heartland DLC has 2 pairs of characters you can choose from, The 2 duos were a rookie cop and a professional con man & a young woman and her aunt. You start out looking for the duos objective (A missing father or a close ally) and you run into an NPC who's camp is overrun, so in exchange for being able to stay there the duo agree to clear it out. It's right at the start of the game and the zombies are nothing truly threatening (given the good starting gear you have), but if somehow one of the duo or the NPC you're helping dies the dialogue changes to reflect this. It's so needless, even a rookie gamer couldn't mess up this badly yet they still took the time to implement and voice new lines.
Felix the Cat was a childhood favorite to me. I watched his movie, the Christmas special, I even had the NES game shown in the video. But I am so, so, SO GLAD I didn't see that game over screen, holy fuck bro, they did him so dirty..
Fire Emblem anime... That sounds awesome but hard to do as one would have to contact Nintendo, get screen rights, and pick an animation studio. If it does happen, it would start at Marth's story as that's first than the next all the way until the most recent game. I would definitely watch it as I would like their interpretation of which person canonically dies and who doesn't, but Fates would be a bit of a debacle when it gets there because you would either go Birthright or Conquest and than the proper story line as that requires a great deal of effort
They could do time travel shenanigans for Fates I guess? I always like to head canon the none of you units die only the characters that are supposed to die via story. It would be interesting to see some of the characters recovering from their wounds after retreating, maybe have them converse with other squad mates
the Fade To Black gave over videos reminds me of the lil animations in Rescue Rover 2 for DOS. Iunno if it counts as creepy for the cartoonesque setting, tho :p
Hooh boy, I wish more people would talk about russian and chinese bootlegs! All the stuff I had back in the day due to piracy being literally insane in my area...
That F-22 Interceptor one is creepy because it feels like it should be in another game and it doesn't make sense. If you were in a plane or jet crash you would be burned to a crisp forget even having a beating heart.
The ending to F-22 could be worse. It could then show your family suffering. Then it could show you taking a trip to hell. Creating this kind of sim on the Genesis was a mistake (gruesome end or not). I appreciate the maniacs who tried to make a real combat flight sim, but it's insane. It's also insane to play, so I salute you. Consoles generally did 2D action games better than the PC in 1991, but were light years behind with polygons. The consoles also didn't have enough memory, no analog controls, and not enough buttons for what flight sims wanted. If you compare F-22 with other popular 1991 combat flight games like Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe (light), F-117A (medium) or Falcon 3.0 (heavy) it's not even close. In fact, I don't know that it's comparable to the original Falcon game from 1987. The company that made F-22, Lerner Research, had an 8-bit computer flight sim in 1987 for low spec computers, Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Simulator, and for the most part that game runs about as smooth as this one. They were trying here, but there's not much they could do. Most combat flight "sims" on consoles are not sims, they're simulations of simulations like Top Gun on the NES.

Actually, there’s two!
Also that one bootleg Russian Lego Batman game?

(Showing the title screen and gameplay of the NES version, of course made by LJN, the title screen involving a basket jumping around, likely containing Felix)
Felix the Cat on the NES is a typical but inoffensive platformer you'd expect to see during the genre's height of popularity.
(Shows the title screen of the Russian bootleg, where it's Felix standing in his iconic pose that I can never see the same way again)
But for some reason, out of every game in existence, someone or something felt it necessary to make a pirate Genesis version of this game!
(Shows Felix bouncing over to a blue alleyway, with the basket from the title screen)
You have the option to pick Continue or End, but if no continues remain, you're forced to choose End and return to the title screen.
(Shows gameplay of that one game where you're a caveman fighting dinosaurs, where the player character dies and has an angelic version of them float into the sky)
I assume the shot is from an old cartoon where he "humorously dies" and gets sent to Heaven
(Meanwhile, I, the guy writing this, am shaking as I'm typing this, dreading when he gets to the Game Over screen)
But they still didn't think this was enough - look what happens if you choose or have to end the game now.
(Oh boy, here it comes...)
(Briefly shows the game over screen, which I'm not even going to describe because you likely already know it and have been similarly scarred, though my dread was far worse than the game over screen itself.
Kinda reminds me of the Fearfall at Kentucky Kingdom, where you're slowly raised 150 feet in the air, dreading the inevitable, then suddenly drop and hear everyone else on the ride screaming, and it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought)
(And now, after that tangent, back to Git's thoughts, as the screen cuts to black)
Why?!
Perhaps I could do something similar to turn that image into something much more goofy)
But the scariest part of it all? Since Felix is old enough to be Public Domain, there's nothing stopping anyone from making an official work based on him as gruesome as this!
To lighten the mood after THAT, let's check out another bootleg game, but with a funny game over screen instead."
(Here's the timestamp: 17:59)
Thank you kindly for doing this
@@Ryusagi You're welcome
Except the game is actually made by Hudson soft, not LJN (the NES one), just to correct you
My brother had Flight Simulator for the Genesis when we were younger.
I just found this video by accident. And all I have to say is that this video is so well made!!
whoisthigit, you're a living legend! 😄
Finally! A Creepy Bad Endings video with more scary Game Over screens, even the Bootleg Felix one! Not gonna lie, Git, you totally upped the ante with this one!
You know for a forgotten game, fade to black's game overs are kinda cool in my opinion. and it's also nice to see some Fire Emblem content.
Oh my god, that Felix the Cat thing scarred me as a kid. I think I actually got nightmares from it.
I think the felix bootleg game over is a fanart called "felix the cat unmasked" i remember shirts of it being sold on the internet
This is my go to channel whenever i feel like listening to banger OSTs from games i have never heard of
It gets worse and worse as more of the team dies.
Reminds me of when I played Sacred Stones, my first SRPG, and by Ch14 everyone was dead except the two heroes and Seth
seeing russian felix was a surprise! I'm also liking the format of you inviting a fellow youtuber (maybe even a friend?) over. It's how I discovered Shyguy!
Some of these were actually horrifying
The second I saw F22 afterburner I knew the bad ending straight away. I had this on mega drive as a kid
That might be a reflection of the pilot's face.
u smart af
The FE Tellius games put in a lot of alternate dialogue if certain characters died, and it feels very bad to see them play out.
Sounds very much like Wing Commander.

I'll watch the video tomorrow morning, to prevent that bloody game over screen from keeping me up all night.
Edit: Now that I think of it, I should use it in a Revengeance status- style video where a fictional character interrupts the game over screen to spare the viewers from seeing it
*OH YEAH WE'RE BACK.*
...I know this one.
Oh wow. F22 was a comfort game for me back in 2006. I also got nightmares really easily around that time. Glad I never got a game over!
OH SHIT IS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IN THE INTRO PUZZLE ROOM
I think he might have died long before the equipment flatlined, if his face was reduced to a skull like that.
0:22 it took like 3 seconds for me to go "Oh, God, THAT game over screen!" As poorly as this sim aged, the OST is still a bit nostalgic.
Okay that Felix the Cat image was officially the scariest game over ive seen, very impressive! Instantly gave me a sense of shock and uneasiness.

Light spoiler: you and your crewmates take a shortcut on a level and get hyperdrive'd to a place literally out of the Lylat system, where there's no escape. Giant letters spell out "The End.", and the game doesn't go back to the title or locks up, it just keeps going forever. The only thing you can do shoot endless waves of enemies, and nothing else

Why did my jaw drop after seeing the Felix the cat game over screen
(Unused voice lines suggest even Celica was on the non game over death chopping block at one point.)
Imagine how much worse off Archanea is in Mystery with Camus and the whitewings dying here.
And people react if they are close enough, too.

@@Travis-ea4205 yeah that dude, they specifically made him look extra creepy on the game over screen and it always creeped me out

Same, I only went through the true ending once in Undertale and then just left it so everyone could be happy.
The Genocide run is boring anyway. Aside from two fun boss fights (that step up the difficulty from the hardest Pacifist fights) it's a boring slog.
Being the slasher villain should be FUN, dammit.

I can't believe there's a Felix the cat + waxworks crossover
I'm surprised you didn't talk the game over screen for the SNES version of Speedy Gonzales. It's weirdly somber and disturbing for a children's game.
i remember felix for some reason
bones?
I stumbled on you completely by mistake, but you're so strange I shall subscribe to watch more.
Fun fact:
The creator of that bootleg of Felix the Cat made more crappy games, and in all of them there's the same music on the game overs, and some of them being very creppy (Just like the Mario 3 and Mario 4 bootlegs, and the one from the video)
He made many of those games.

Well, the creepy game over screen is actually in the genesis bootleg
Gotta love unique death animations
Sugestions from Creepy Bad Endings: Cayne and Virtuaverse
the Fade To Black gave over videos reminds me of the lil animations in Rescue Rover 2 for DOS. Iunno if it counts as creepy for the cartoonesque setting, tho :p
Fade to blacks deaths reminds me of the death scenes in Waxworks but less graphic

26:09 That or he forgot to change the bulb that fateful day.
