These emulators really tell the story of people trying to figure out how to reverse engineer the SNES's proprietary graphics and sound hardware. It's kind of funny how most of them either get the graphics _or_ sound correct, but never both at once...
it's funny because alot of older snes emulators tend to all have sprite layering and or audio issues, as even all the ones that were made for the DS or DSi have that same issues as the ones present in your video, earthbound seemingly get's it the worst as the battle backgrounds just explode edit: nevermind JESUS CHRIST F-ZERO😭
I mainly remember when SNES emulators couldn't apply translucency to foreground layers, so if you entered water or fog, you just couldn't see anything. I even recall that being part of an FAQ on a MegaMan fan site: "Why can't I see in the water?" "Buy the game."
Just as good as the previous NES emulator video, if not better, hope you keep doing these with more console and even handheld emulators. It's been a long time now, but I vaguely recall GBA and DS having some really crusty emulation early on
That intro was perfect. My TV speakers waking from no audio go into this super low bitrate mode until they finally catch up. Made it even more crunchy than it already was.
first one was probably described really badly in a creepypasta from 2008 about a haunted super mario world cart. prophecies are real if you believe hard enough
I think joel had a video similar to this one, only he was messing with an version of ZSNES that had comically broken audio. Cool to see all of these old emulators archived. Great Vid!
ZSNES really came pretty far by the time they made their final release, which is my go to snes emulator to this day, although I don't really mess around with emulation like I used to.
32 bit games use layers the same way animation does, to create a parallax effect that simulates depth. Scrolling the layers at different speeds creates the illusion in game just like in a cartoon. Some SNES emulators let you turn the layers off and on, which isn't useful onto itself, but if it could shift the layers to the side slightly, with each layer being slightly more, the emulator could create a 3-D effect by showing 2 screens. I've posted this idea a few times now, and the only flaw offered is, it wouldn't look good in all modes, like mode 7. Yeah, i know. lol
Holy crap there's more!! Awesome. The RGB/BGR/whatever options controlled how the emulator handled colors. So you made it interpret red, green and blue hues as blue, green and red values instead. I'm not sure what the 555/565 is, it seems to be a bits-per-pixel part.
shoddy genesis emulators would be good too, esp since sound emulation has basically always been off/tricky (even on official stuff, looking at you, atgames)
@@thxdeeply check the starfox ex romhack how it puts the hardware to a halt it should be a strong challenge for these emulators, even good ones show glitches in that
Thanks for 2000 subs by the way !!!!!

When you were trying to do something like this on a slow ass single core CPU with no dedicated graphics card, sacrifices had to be made lol
Videos like these make me appreciate how far emulation has come
"Pass me the aux cord."
_"Just don't play garbage."_
8:01
bro the beginning of it sounds like mice rapping 😭

yo, I have the same pfp as yours on my jellyfin server haha
Yeah that is god awful lmao

thank for you actually making a part 2, my emulator autism thanks you.
12:05 sounds like something you would hear in a siivagunner rip
for some reason the tone of the instruments makes it sound like a berguntruckung rip
Sounds epic
Just as good as the previous NES emulator video, if not better, hope you keep doing these with more console and even handheld emulators. It's been a long time now, but I vaguely recall GBA and DS having some really crusty emulation early on
iirc desmume emulation is STILL crusty for DS pokemon games bc the dev hates pokemon fans or smth lmao
now we need shoddy N64 emulators
All of them
Corn I guess
So just n64 emulators
12:20 almost sounds like a hotline miami song for a few seconds
12:05 that was actually great tho
That intro was perfect. My TV speakers waking from no audio go into this super low bitrate mode until they finally catch up. Made it even more crunchy than it already was.
12:05 ngl both sound fire
first one was probably described really badly in a creepypasta from 2008 about a haunted super mario world cart. prophecies are real if you believe hard enough
13:40 funny trumpets *laughs*
BABE WAKE UP, THE NEW SHODDY EMULATORS VIDEO DROPPED
Earthbound sounded pretty cool beyond it skipping audio. That deeper version of the music is sick
4:44 this makes it look like this is some kind of analog horror and they got murdered by the plant thing
I think joel had a video similar to this one, only he was messing with an version of ZSNES that had comically broken audio. Cool to see all of these old emulators archived. Great Vid!
1:35 sure does, I just oiled it
3:20 this feels the the music and the sfxs are being so literal drunk on it
this guy's like 5 seconds away from being in a creepypasta lol
Long-awaited sequel has just dropped, great job!
12:20 When the buggy emulator accidentally creates an epic remix of your favorite intro theme...
man i cant wait for the video "Shoddy Nintendo Gas Leak U + Deluxe Premium Ultra Director's Cut Emulators" in 20712
ZSNES really came pretty far by the time they made their final release, which is my go to snes emulator to this day, although I don't really mess around with emulation like I used to.
For the first clips with the Champi emulator, you were loading the SMW and SMRPG Save RAM files, not the roms.

For the Threequel, you should do Shoddy Genesis Emulators
you were dragging in the sram save files in the beginning idk if anyone told you
Holy crap there's more!! Awesome.

Scribblenauts
Pocoyo Racing

10:38 Mario is missing his medicine
I love this series so much
i wanna make a gameboy emulator someday... maybe it'll end up in one of these videos 😭
7:01 emulator accidentally made a cover of aphex twin - cliffs
the emulator showcased from 6:22 seems like some sort of terrible creepypasta
Hyper realistic shiny enemies
So any Sonic.exe game
6:41 this is some creepypasta like shit
you were loading sram files into the emulator at the start.....
Shoddy N64 emulators when
shoddy genesis emulators would be good too, esp since sound emulation has basically always been off/tricky (even on official stuff, looking at you, atgames)
I hope there's gonna be a "shoddy genesis emulators"
And people say VBA is a disaster. At least it actually runs the games of its system and I have only experienced a singlar noticable bug with it.
3:20 Super Microtonal World
i need a list of these emualtors 😭
0:30 that was a savefile, not a rom
pretty good video! keep it up
Try running Starfox I wanna see SuperFX glitches
Sadly starfox was either incompatible or ran normally so i didn't include it in the highlights
@@thxdeeply check the starfox ex romhack how it puts the hardware to a halt it should be a strong challenge for these emulators, even good ones show glitches in that
You are a mix of Joel and Qzeq together
is that logo a mgs reference lmfaooo
Based Cave Story Wallpaper

Peak content (part 2 the return of the wanky noises, beepity boopity)
Nice video !
who thought some of these were good enough to release and didn't require even just a little bit of work?
What is next of snes shoddy emulators?
Forget corrupted games. Let's run emulators so bad it's like the game is corrupted!
12:34 Aliens
HADOUUU!
HADOUUU!
12:44 this one sounds like it is running in MIDI

8:01 I can jam out to this
Real Time Corrupter be like:
It’s 50/50 chance for the music sound a little wonky or trying to take your ears out. Don’t you love the gamble
1:45 it's trying to communicate...

is there gonna be shoddy n64 emulators?

shoddy GBA emulators next?
.... you dragged in srm save files instead of roms on the first one.
8:17
this actually sounds good
and also 12:20
Shoddy genesis emulators next?
It seems most of these emulators have a problem with tick speed
0:01 Where did you get the music from, please?
ruclips.net/video/ZM9g_PPE9yQ/видео.html
@@thxdeeply I like how it sounds glitched. Thank you.
brother at the beginning you dragged SRAM (save) files into the emulator!
the emulator can try to run a sram as rom, as a treat.
How do you even obtain all those emulators
WHAT IS SUPERMIUM PLEASE WHAT IS SUPERMIUM
