Hearing Sona's laughter in the background makes these so good. Its like 4 friends are sitting around and having fun.
Humor can’t cure diseases but can make living with them a whole lot easier 🙏🏻 she’s the best!
So true. Also very appreciative. I developed a rare disease late in my life few years back and apparently it made me so free and open that i was the most social, made my most friends, got my biggest recognition at work and met my wife. Really changed my whole outlook on life. Lol n Like they said here i can always use it to feel ok about prioritizing myself when needed when i used to feel pretty guilty or not allowed.
ive been in the snl archives and Vanessa was seriously underrated for the cast she was in Hungry guys is my favorite digital short
She shows up in other projects and always steals the show. From lonely island to I think you should leave and even What We Do in the shadows. It’s that she comes off unassuming at first and then just is extra ridiculous.
Only conan can carry a conversation this heavy and still make you cry and laugh at the same time. The swirl of emotions is unending. I could listen to conan everyday, all day long and i would not get tired of it. Somehow the art of conversing with people is now lost. Very few people can hold a conversation for more than 10 minutes without getting distracted or falling off topic.
Please please please, can you upload the last segment from Vanessa Bayer episode where Conan does the bit about the Armenian language with Sona🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 That was hilarious!
With subtitles 🙏
Yessss please

Vanessa!!! One of my all time fav SNL cast member. I almost cried when she left the show
I had bone cancer when I was a child and I can say that’s EXACTLY my experience as well. 😂
I'm glad there were at least some 'good' parts about such a horrid experience.
I had lung cancer a few years ago and I made awful jokes about the mass all the time before they took out that part of my lung. I called it “tumor humor” and used it to try to get out of doing things/going places I didn’t want to do.
Happy you’re still with us Pirate and Poultry Princess
did you make it?
there is no way she is not a sweet person in real life. no one can fake that level of sweetness.
ted bundy.
@@deveroth8871 🎯
sometimes i wonder if conan is secretly a sophisticated serial killer who is able to get away with it because he’s rich and a harvard grad and i always come to the conclusion that the chances of that being true are low but never zero 😟
People can be many things at the same time. I am a total sweetheart for real. but I definitely have not so nice qualities.
It's like dark chocolate: there's sweetness, but underneath is the darkness 😂 you're not fully in touch with your humanity if you don't have that side, as well.
I love how Conan can always relate to whatever is being said throughout the podcast!! BTW I love Sona's amazing laugh!!
I thought the laugh was annoying. You couldn't hear anyone speak, and it went on and on. Conan looked over at her once to say, 'Will you shut up?'
The silence after she mentioned missing gym class sounded like they were unimpressed, but they were definitely just speechless.
"Oh my god I would've gotten leukemia if it meant I didn't have to go to gym" is what they were all thinking
Vanessa seems to have a great and strong family if they were able to laugh through friggin' leukemia.
I like how Conan always tries to relate to whoever he's talking to, if I learned something from him is that comedy and empathy go hand in hand
i like how conan is telling a story and sona just can't stop laughing and ignores Conan's attempt to build up a story. she is filling Andy's seat pretty well. hahahahaha
She is ungodly annoying
Was Andy supposed to be part of the podcast? I can understand why he wouldn't, he doesn't wanna be the sidekick anymore, I think he has his own podcast but haven't listened/watched yet. Fyi I like to watch podcasts, so I'm a creep according the Sunny podcast lol
Two of the best guests over the last few months have been Vanessa and Molly Shannon. Both had amazing childhood stories and both are now in a show together. Two of the best people to come out of SNL.
Yes I immediately thought of the Molly Shannon episode. I had no idea about either of their childhood sagas beforehand. Thank god for CONAF.
Vanessa’s smile lights up a screen
"Having cancer doesn't make you a good person"- 😆
I mean, it's true.
I'll take "Lines I Never Thought I'd Hear In My Life" for 1000, Alex 🤣
Didn't Ricky Gervais' character in Afterlife have to publicly apologize for saying something like "Being a veteran doesn't make you a good person." Lol
Same with veterans. I said what I said
She’s adorable!
Vanessa is so underrated...she is really funny..
Vanessa Bayer and Molly Shannon are great on her new show "I Love That For You".
Hope there’s a second season.
One of my younger sisters had leukemia when we were kids, and I wasn't old enough to understand the seriousness of the situation, but I was old enough to recognize the perks: my family would get great seats at the local minor league baseball games, we'd get to go to cool events, and I'd get to stay with my grandparents/aunts and uncles more than usual.
Now, as an adult, I sometimes think "I bet that was pretty stressful for my parents."
She is so hilarious.Funny person and million dollar smile
~Yeah, as a kid i was jealous of my sisters having allergies, so i 'decided' i was allergic to salt~My Dad taped some to my arm, i scratch it till it got all red, then he told me, 'Well, no beach for you!' & i cried...
Ha ha ha 😂
That's a great story.
You killed!
My sister needed glasses. So ofcourse I wanted glasses, too. I wanted the attention she got. I sometimes would put them on and say:'I see much better!" A lie, ofcourse. And my parents knew it, too.😄 But when I turned 10 my eyesight was actually starting to deteriorate. My parents didn't believe me at first when I started squinting to read the subtitles. In class, I had to get up and walk up to the blackboard to see what was on it and my teacher urged me to have my parents take me for an eye-test. We finally went to the GP and did an eyetest. The doctor said I needed glasses. When we were outside, my mom goes; 'you were just faking it, those were very mild subscriptions'. Turns out my prescription was much higher than my sister's and i had worse eyesight.
I'm like 'the boy who cried wolf'🤪 Well...the wolf came and slapped me with -3.5. My mom: "that's what you get when you pretend"! I am now down to a -7.5 prescription🤣
OMG, my wife talks about being jealous of other girls with glasses, retainers, etc. There are pictures of her somewhere with like homemade glasses out of pipe cleaners. I think Vanessa and here would have probably been friends.
My brother had a very bad vision since we were little kids and had big thick glasses. I was jealous as hell
"Wow! Free Chemo!" Conan can be truly caring and still be hilarious.
i feel like Vanessa Bayer was one of the more underrated performers on SNL, Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong got a lot of the accolades, but Vanessa had more range. She could play larger-than-life characters and ham it up, but was just as good playing the straight woman.
I totally got this when I was listening. I had stage one lung cancer 6 years ago and before they removed the mass, I had to have biopsies and PET scans and whatnot. I was 45 and got more attention than I’d ever had in my whole life, something I didn’t really care for. I would make awful jokes and use it to get out of things. I’d stand in the middle of a dirty kitchen and grab my chest and say OW OW OW and when my family would look up, I’d look pitiful and say “my tumor is acting up again”. I called it “tumor humor” but I was usually the only person that thought it was funny. I’m fine now and my family tells stories about me doing these things and roll their eyes.
Tumor humor ;'D That's awesome.
Vanessa you were one of my faves on SNL. Hope you're doing well.
Thank you so much for having Vanessa ❤
😂🤣😂🤣.... Conan's like "what perks?"....
While Sona's back there cracking up cause she already knows.
Such a great and very much missed cast member of SNL. If she ever comes back to guest host I demand another Totino's commercial sketch
Every time there is an extreme weather event she can do her weather-girl.
"We aren't pornstars any more" with Cecily.
@@John_C_J J-pop America Fun Time Now!
3:00 Conan being worried that Sona is going to die of laughter.
Idk but I would love to see her as a post original trilogy Princess Leia in a Star Wars thing. She looks perfect for the role. And I would love to see Conan as C-3PO. He's half way there.
Yes, but Conan is a little bit stiffer than C3PO. Lol !
I see the vision honestly
Vanessa Bayer is the coolest woman alive. 😉
walter white agrees with the quote that having cancer doesn't make you a good person
3:59 gourley's 1-liners kill me 💀
I love that smiling ass girl man
Hey Team Coco... will we ever get to see full podcast videos? Thanks for the awesome interviews!
This is why when people say "they are offended", they are actually not. Humor allows us to feel human.
Always had a huge crush on Vanessa.
LOVE Vanessa. I really miss her on SNL. She was so good
My wife called it playing the leukemia card. Many times I recall her loudly declaiming “I have leukemia, damn it!”
I remember her saying her dad once got out of a speeding ticket because of it! 🤣🤣
This is probably going to sound bad but, every time I see her face I start to laugh. Idk if it's because I keep expecting one of her hilarious characters on snl or one of her characters pops into my head lol
I love her poet teacher skit
@@KoolestDudeNTheBlock that's who popped into my head when I saw her face lol. I kept expecting that voice.
This is EXACTLY what you do when you're dealt a shitty hand. Love her even more now 😆
lol. People are awesome, we feel for eachother, and try to lessen peoples suffering if we can
This adds so much to the Sympathy Energy Vampire episode of What We Do in the Shadows.
I remember middle school having the rope climbing day and all these kids were doing it and I thought I’d be able to, then it was my turn and I couldn’t get TWO FEET UP and everyone laughed
Sona dying in the background XD
Loved her the moment I saw her.
Kids with broken arms ruled in tetherball, was so jealous
ok i'm gonna need the rest of this podcast, STAT!
@Conan The ancient mariners disease was Scurvy cause ld by Vit C deficiency and not Rickets. Hence the citrus.
Having Cancer doesn't make you a good person should be her comedy tour t-shirt.
She is her character from What we do in the Shadows 😂
"Having cancer doesn't make you a good person" Best Breaking Bad tagline I've ever heard.
Venessa smile is really similar to Molly Shannons
Totinos !
👌😉
We're tall and lanky Conan . We weren't meant to climb robes . We're meant to reach up and grab the top of the wall and just pull ourselves over 🤣
*When I was a kid they thought I had Hodgkin's disease . We had to go to St Jude . The la Quinta inn staff near St Jude in Memphis are some of the nicest people on the planet . I've never been treated with such courtesy and respect . Not to mention all the free milkshakes .
why is this channel always at a lower volume
it's the same tactic youtube uses to discourage people from china hawk channels
just lowers the volume after upload
Hii Conan!! What’s up?? Big fan!! Also from Boston MA, well Concord MA actually lol. But yeah, you were roommates with a Father Paul in college or somethin right? He’s an old family friend lol
Reminded me of "Stage 4 advice" from Curb
finally live podcast.... can see conan jokes again
Conan and Vanessa bonding over the jealousy of someone else's severe injury getting them attention is just...exquisite 🤌
Pity is very underrated
The cast is also a built in weapon. My little brother whacked our sister in the nose with his cast and she bled for an hour. Yeah, we didn't mess with him while he had that thing on.
i love how all the time vanessa was like 😬
why would you not upload the entire video?
so you can listen to the podcast on the other various platforms and skip through the ad reads
@@ValueRobot Bummer, I would like to watch in its entirety.
It was called P.E. when I was in School... I LOVED Sports, but I HATED P.E. Class...probably because I always got it 1st Period... Grass was wet, it was freezing cold and December - January we had Swimming... it was so cold, Fog covered the Pool and spilled over into the rest of the Campus, there's nothing like diving into a 40 degree pool and getting lost in the fog trying to get your freezing ass out of the water...
My Mom who loves me comes rushing to school my mom
love u Conan
You guys need to find bigger headphones.
Vanessa was so tempted to go Gypsy Rose Blanchard on everyone I’m cackling 💀
Everytime I tried to climb the ropes about half way up I got this overwhelming tickle between my legs and couldn't get any further.
That wasn’t a tickle!!!
I worked in a children's hospital. The best anyone can do is just laugh about the nonsense life brings. If you don't laugh you cry. Might as well have a good time while you're potentially dying.
John Mulaney has a bit about grandparents dying that reminds me of this. Too funny.
eventually you have to switch from breaking your bones for attention to breaking other peoples spirit in a funny way
From “illnes” to Leukemia! 0 to 100 real quick!
"gonna be a hot one...don't forget to water that mouth"..."hap"
Awesome SNL member...and fairly hot as well!
conan is the riflemen your dad ?
Minor complaint. I noticed the video uploads from this new studio has really low audio levels.
Doctor: "Well you have cancer now, but try to have fun with it"
👁️👅👁️
It’s like the ultimate female life!
Thanks for the upload
I've been listening to Conan, Sona and Matt for months now but never bothered to look up how Gourley looks like. Talk about the voice not matching the face 😂 Still love your stuff, dude! But I was a bit shocked that you didn't look like you came from the fifties as Conan likes to describe your appearance 🤣👌
Edit: P.s. Sona stoned asf like usual 😂
"Free chemo!"
This story needs an icy drink to bookend it...
she will always be Debbie Fogle to me
Conan asks a question gives her 30 secs to respond then makes it all about him for 5 mins
Conan’s mic not facing his mouth is triggering me. Someone please tell him
to move his mic.
2nd!
Holy fff- this is a first for me or in this case 2nd 🤣
MOOOOM! I'M SECOND COMMENT IN A CONAN VIDEO! WOOOOO!
👍🏻
hap....
"Having cancer doesn't make you a good person" 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😵☠️
Free chemo? I doubt it was free. 😔
That side is really rough. Insurance approvals.. they had us switching back and forth between insurance companies that would cover different things. Missed treatments because of it.
I couldn't joke about it. But i liked that they did. It was the funniest part of the video for me. :)
The biggest success on snl??? Kissing Kristen Stewart 😂
Damn.. Free chemo.. sounds like a good deal!
It's well understood that Conan has always been desperate for attention. Even today, when he's very well known and beloved by millions he still crave attention.
How much attention is enough Conan? Are you trying to make the whole world laugh with you?
Only Conan could hear a story about someone having cancer as a kid/teen and go “well I can relate to that feeling, I once BROKE MY ARM” I get he bookends it with (that isn’t cancer that’s just a broken arm) but the fact it popped up in your head and you felt the need to share it kind of says everything. It’s a little bit indicative of the type of person who thinks they’re a good listener when in reality they ALWAYS respond to peoples stories with a story or anecdote about himself. I get that your experiences are all you have, but when someone’s telling you about their cancer I think you really shouldn’t bring up your own thing unless it’s like about you or a family member having cancer. Relating to someone is trying to imagine what it’s like being in their shoes and admitting you don’t know what it’s like. I feel like Conan always feels the need to show that he can relate his life to the thing at hand somehow, but that isn’t really putting yourself in someone else’s shoes that’s taking them and putting them in YOUR shoes.
I can see why you think it is inappropriate. However, while I am not a doctor, I believe Conan has some form of ADHD. I have it myself and I do the exact thing with the anecdotes. It isn't a selfish thing. Non-NTs (especially with folks with ADHD and ASD) just have trouble relating to others so to show they are listening or appreciate the person it's very easy to think "oh I should share my story too so they know I understand". Yes. It is annoying but it isn't a sign they are being inconsiderate.
Then again, I'm only speculating. I don't know the guy personally, but you might know someone in your life who also behaves similarly and it might be an explanation.
You are right in general, but I don't know about this one. Conan was responding to her saying being a kid and seeing someone in a cast with a broken leg and wanting to be them. And definitely not relating to her condition. He ends with it too.
@@MCraft-pt9nf I think John's reply may have been to Hexted's comment.
I thought that too. But it is his show and as other comments note, I’m not sure he can help it.
@@MCraft-pt9nf yup. I'm the same. Had a late ADHD diagnosis. It is very annoying and it took me a while to figure out how bad it was. Thing is; I relate to a lot of people and me-interrupting and talking about MY experiences, is not me wanting to be all like 'look at meeee'. It's my inept way of letting you know how MUCH I am feeling you and desperately want to let you know that. But then I end up going on a tangent about myself, completely forgetting that you were the one talking... comes across as being sooo egotistical and very annoying. And I don't always pick up peoples' ques. So I come off as anti-social. Which I'm not.its like I need more time to process information because my mind is racing all the time and I feel rushed and just blurt out the first thing that comes to mind and off I go. I have a friend who is very good at silently letting me know I'm going on a tangent without making me feel as if I did something wrong on purpose. It's the ADHD. But she also silently let's me know:"Just because you have ADHD doesn't mean you can't adjust your behaviour; let me finish my story!" There should be a guide book 'how to respond and behave like a 'normal' person'. I observe how people behave and copy the behaviour but, I don't always get it right...most of the time.
2nd?
This is the most watered down thing conan has ever done. He has given up. I still love him. I wish his staff choice for his podcast was different.
1st
