When you first grow out a long beard during one stage of growth it feels like a brillo pad glued to your face. It itches like there is no end in sight then it finally gets to the softer fluffy phase.
On top of Conan being well known, I feel that why this podcast is so popular and so enjoyable to listen to is because they are not trying too hard that it feels forced. Been a Conan fan since I was a 17 years old (2004).
Nah. Because if he would have this conversation without being known, everyone would leave after 3 min because they weren't sure where this was going. Believe me, podcasts aren't that easy. People have 10.000 different ones to listen to, and that's not even at the level of Dax Shepard and Conan O' Brien.
I wanna say it right now, there was a few times during his show that he had longer sideburns than usual, and he looked GREAT! It was genuinely a good look for him.
A good Conan bit doesn’t end at the peak. It drags on like jay leno moving an upright piano with his bare hands until conan does an accent. Then the bit becomes great and can finally end.
I don’t remember who it was on the podcast (might’ve been Jim Carrey the first time he came on) that said that the idea that “anyone can be cancelled at any time” is silly. I mean if someone does something actually criminal (like domestic abuse), then it makes sense that they would be cancelled and could possibly lose their careers (which they should). But ultimately whether a comedian is cancelled or not depends on their audience; if people angrily tweet about a joke Ricky Gervais made, it doesn’t matter, because they clearly don’t know who Ricky Gervais is and just stumbled on his material. They weren’t fans to begin with. Conan does borderline edgy material sarcastically and his audience knows that; so if people DID get angry at something Conan says in the future, his audience would stick by him because they’re familiar with his type of humor.
@@JITCompilation hot take, 'abuse' shouldnt be grounds for 'cancellation' either. who are you to judge what someone else did and why. this 'moral' line in the sand that mustnt be crossed at any cost makes me laugh, as if crimes and laws are of any real worth and not just posturing for the ruling class. and as if any of the abuse allegations are ever real and not just entirely performative, like protests and angry tweets at ricky gervais for 'transphobia' lmao
Cant lie, I got a little sad when I saw Conans gray beard. But that ending was full of that goodgood Conan energy, the future still shines bright upon our path of Coco!
Gotta admit being a long time Conan fan ,when I first started listening to this podcast I somewhat disliked Gorly’s comments on Conan but now I just love his comments , that dude has grown on me ….”never killed my wife” comment was gold 😂 …felt like something was missing in the episodes where he was not present . PS - Love the bearded Conan cause I was not around the first time he had grown one but I can witness this one he looks like a depression era carpenter ❤😂🇮🇳
The beard to me is symbolic of a tough time in Conans life where he was not feeling it, he had started his new journey on TBS....and it was a bit haywire. I loved the fact that Will Ferrell shaved it away. I have been following Conan since past 5-10 years so I may not know if he kept beards in the past as well. But his beard reminds me of that down time in his life. He should shave it away.
That was one of my fav themed moments on the late show, the beard show that’s when HD was new and he kept ultra zooming in to the patches🫣🤣love the beard Conesy!😎🍻✌️🖖
Over his 30 year television career, Conan aged visibly from an apparent 12 years old in 1993 to, even with his red beard, a grizzled 14 and a half. But now, with his new grey stubble, he finally looks old enough to buy a beer.
omg it is too funny and I needed to pause and comment on this lololol i'm laughing alone too much ( well I broke my tailbone and has been resting for the last month and doing noting)
A recent study about impacts to the jaw seems to have proved that a beard can absorb as much as 30% of the impact of a blow, preventing bone breakage when identical impacts against non-bearded controls broke.
I got high and listened to the podcast. The evolution of each thread to hilarious unproductive cul de sacs, is pure magic. Just track every topic thread. Conan is a genius when I'm high.
What I love is that Conan is either hyperbolically talking himself up, or languishing in self-deprecation. And somehow it all feels consistent.
Dead on Ted!
It’s perfect
Sometimes a strange combination of the two.
He’s unified with his comedy. Could you imagine what kind of imagery goes on in his mind once he hears something he can piggy back off of? 😅😅😅
Yep. As long as its ironic/absurd. Doesn't matter either way lol
2:04 “Does it keep you warm?” “No it itches” Lol I love Gourley’s low key remarks ❤️❤️❤️
When you first grow out a long beard during one stage of growth it feels like a brillo pad glued to your face.
It itches like there is no end in sight then it finally gets to the softer fluffy phase.
And it’s gets in your damn food and annoys you when your trying to eat or drink.
Mine doesn't itch but it catches the wind. In winter, it freezes and actually warms quite a bit because it blocks the wind very effectively.

You're exactly right - it's honestly such good easy listening, very natural conversations and personalities
unscripted Conan is the best Conan.

@@memosfrommomo9889 no
Yeah, his early Tv interviews look like he was trying too hard
If he braids his sideburns into his armpits, and becomes his own puppeteer HE COULD FINALLY DO THE STRING DANCE!
My thoughts exactly! He can do the string dance just but tilting his head left and right!
That's what he was always miming.
"4 wet raincoats and a parka...ladies"
I just can't stop laughing
The last part when he sings cockaroo is pure insanity. The therapy isn't working. Lol
I wanna say it right now, there was a few times during his show that he had longer sideburns than usual, and he looked GREAT! It was genuinely a good look for him.
Definitely! That was around 2012, wasn’t it?
He's so tentative about sideburns, yet meanwhile swooped his hair like that for the last 30 years. Somehow sideburns are taking it too far? lol
A good Conan bit doesn’t end at the peak. It drags on like jay leno moving an upright piano with his bare hands until conan does an accent. Then the bit becomes great and can finally end.
Conan needs to make a whole separate podcast just to talk about the strength, stamina, and adventures of his "cockaroo"!!!!!
Team Cocoroo
Inside Cockaroo
I've been watching Conan since the beginning and "Four wet rain coats" moment might be the hardest I've ever laughed 😂😂😂
It was the parka that did it for me
@@cindycisneros3936 he's a genius 🤣
And the parka with 5 pound weights in both pockets
So genius. An average funny person says two whole jackets or ten jackets but the wet rain coats incorporates weight and makes it unnecessarily better
Same here, also “laden with snow”. He was riffing hard here.
It’s times like this you know you never have to worry about Conan getting cancelled.

I struggle finding the words to adequately describe how much I love Conan.
Conan needs to keep the podcast beard going
I quite like it. It gives Conan a regal appearance. Like Prince Harry ;)
LOL Harry Windsor looking regal, dude looks like a former addict who's idea of being mature isn't shaving.
@@jac9301 You know I said that because Conan says in the video he is "so much like Harry"?
When Harry Met Conando

It's okay Conan we know it's you behind this smurf account
I swear, Conan's podcast should be called "Well, THAT Devolved Quickly." 🤣
4:37 "you want to be cool guy with sideburns" her immigrant mom energy came out. Mike and Charlie better be ready for it lmao
Thank you Conan for bringing it back
Love that the beard is back! Love all the bits! Like the golden - "Powder, sweet powder"
The way Gourley seconded Sona's "Grow a ZZ Top Beard" so quick 😂💜
"Four wet raincoats and a parka." That needs to be in Conan's obituary.
Obituary? It should be on his LinkedIn profile.

Daaaaam Conan is killing with that beard absolutely KILLING IT
Keep it. By God, keep it and grow it. As a 40 year old that can't grow a beard, I live vicariously through others people's beards.
Same.
me for the past decade: BRING BACK THE BEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sideburns and Joop, an unstoppable combination.

They missed the perfect string dance comparison at 3:45 lol
That's what the string dance has always been about. Now it got revealed.

3:02 Rip Van Winkle fell asleep for a long time and grew a beard, not Rumpelstiltskin. Not sure if he purposely mixed that up or not.
Matts facial hair is always on point ! Goatee, full beard. Always looks good!
Conan going full The Last of Us and I am here for it.

His beard is saying “let’s get to the grave “ beard looks good in all seriousness 🤘
Conan's stare while responding @6:00 😆

The comedic instinct to howl, "A-COCKAROO!" at the end there just demonstrates Conan's legendary brand of high-brow sophisticated wit 😛
0:39 Sona’s disagreeing sound effects, lmao!
David Letterman's beard is the Santa beard from year without a santa claus. Santa, eat!
Letterman’s beard seriously is one of the most awesome ones out there.. Especially with the story behind the great beard.

Sona needs to watch some old Late Night episodes of when Conan used to have sideburns.
Getting the Schwarzenegger vibe. Also Sona is so purrdy

There's a style called "friendly mutton chops" that are so much fun to grow! Basically a beard without the chin hair, and the chops just look massive.

He's Silver Now! it's like when Gandalf goes away and comes back later but even more beautiful.
Less rockabilly more A Christmas Carol.
Conan’s rockabilly band of red heads, the “Ginger Gr’ales”
Four Wet Raincoats and a Parka is the name of Conan's next Rockabilly album
well that went places
Conan doesn't even need material as a comedian. He can just go out and talk to the audience and improvise the entire time.
the way Sona says "you wanna be cool guy with sideburns" haunts me
