I saw my comment been removed probably due to the link I had for reference but the 0% 1% error with the fuel guage is a software bug in most cases especially if you swap sd cards a lot and have a emummc it can be triggered. There is a homebrew to reset it to default values again. On rare occasions the ic could be bad but if your running cfw/emummc in most likely a bug. I got a video explaining it a little bit but hekate on github made the homebrew that can be used to fix that glitch if any one experiences it. It does not effect the stock nand just the ic so no risk of getting banned. It is the same as just unplugging and replugging battery in again.

I once had an Android tablet get stuck on a single colour and sometimes display garbage. The solution to that was to disconnect and then reconnect the battery.
It happens to me sometimes while downloading from eshop and putting switch to sleep mode, i just feel so sad because i just bought a switch after saving money for a long 😢
Even at basically POINT BLANK RANGE, I remember sometimes having weird delayed and dropped inputs when using smash ultimate's local connectivity while also using my pro controller. This would happen back in 2018 and I still ran into it as recently as back in august. The switch's little wifi chip always was pretty crap even when my launch console was still fairly new, especially if forced to multitask. I hope this isn't too doomer sounding, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this orange error from faulty and failing wifi chips starts plaguing these consoles in 10-15 years time.
LOL first time ever happened to me today while playing Pokemon Quest, which has a yellow/orange loading screen, so I thought the game froze or something. Then few hours later it happened when it was charging, then I thought it may be orange because my switch lite is yellow and nintendo shop appears same color on it (now I guess the color doesn't change in each Lite color). I already gave up hope now, it will keep happening everyday probably. Annoying thing is I have never carried it in a bag or a pocket, only took it outside my house few times just to the garden. I have always had a protective shield on it and never dropped it. And in total all in all I have played it maybe 75 hours, but still some nonsense fault had to happen. Did yours get well after this video?
I have had the same wifi/bluetooth issues but no solid colors that I can remember? I have the second version Switch with the better battery. Pro controller has been weird for me, during long play sessions, if my hands get sweaty I feel it is creating condensation inside of the controller casing possibly and maybe that is why it messes up? Other wireless interference around in the air? Maybe the same happens, condensation build up inside with the console and is shorting stuff out? Over time that would cause a chip to fail or cause corrosion at the least? Just a couple ideas to put into the air.
My first Switch decided to kinda kick the bucket after not charging the battery for a very long time (updated it and it suddenly went black screen and no matter what I did, it wouldn't boot on at all). So I had to buy new Switch, no OLED because I like to play games on TV screen. ;w;
I hope you kept that old console around, that is repairable! There is a specific chip that can go bad from that, so it does require SMD rework to replace it.
That's interesting, I knew the wifi chip wasn't the best but first I've heard of the color issue, at this rate you'll have enough hats to reach the ceiling
Came across this by sheer coincidence while troubleshooting my launch Switch. Been like this since March 2022 and all I want's my saves back. Though, if I can get it fixed and it stays that way, it'll be modded
Happened to an oled i have. Need to replace my wifi chip. You can get around it with some powe button shenanigans. And then jsut have it in airplane mode all the time. Thats what i did for a bit. And just used the oled dock with a wired ethernet cable.
Interesting... I was excited to try Metroid Prime remaster with the motion controls. It was impossible for me. All my neighbors in my condo have super loud WiFi routers. Twice as powerful as mine! There is a lot of competition on the 2.4Ghz band especially. I'm going to try the joycons detached when I'm alone on the road and compare.
At least you get an orange screen. With the Wii if the WiFi/Bluetooth module failed, the system didn't even display anything other than a black screen. If would be nice if Nintendo actually displayed a text error. I also hate error codes that don't tell you what the error means and an internet search turns up nothing. I would constantly get an error code on my Xbox One when trying to play a game and even Microsoft's own Xbox support page said the error code didn't exist. LOL.
Yep! I've learned that from not one, but TWO replacements thanks to a cheap PSU that was frying them. Not a hard repair by any means, but annoying since you have to rip the Wii right down to the motherboard all the way just to get to the little BT module.
Mr. Mario you have had terrible bad luck with the Switch. The Switch has a lot of problems and people are not aware because the problems haven’t been documented. I have seen the orange screen on the Switch before when I used to work at a pawnshop. The orange screen comes from the Bluetooth chip cause Nintendo picked the cheapest manufacture cost for the Switch components and specially their Bluetooth. I could feel your frustration with the Bluetooth issue specially if you use your Switch for working out. Once you start working out it becomes addiction and you see the results and the energy that you gain and overall better life performance so you wouldn’t want to stop working out for a month if you send it to Nintendo. I’m really sorry boo ❤
My joycons were recently affected by stick drift so I disassembled them down to the joystick and then disassembled those and stretched their springs out a bit. I haven't had any issues since.
@@mortalc13 It's the X Y carbon tracks that wear out over time, so the only cure it to replace them. Stretching the springs might put more pressure on them, but they are cheap and easy enough to replace.

orange you glad it's still working!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
I had an orange screen about two weeks ago. Had to hold a couple buttons to reset and it went back to normal.
It's a sign we need 'Spice Orange' OLED Switch, that's still my favorite GC/GBA color.
Yo, so many would love that.
Hm...that solid orange colour kind of looks the same as the orange of the e-shop. Could be something linked to that?
Several people have said they got it accessing the eShop or downloading something!
The Switch is definitely a video game console of all time.
The most accurate comment.
This happened on my first OLED at launch, and then again with my Zelda one I got. Happened once or twice with both, and hasn't happened again since.

Old school mentality right there, that's how it goes!
I wish consoles would move away from using bluetooth for controllers. Regular 2.4GHz at least has lower latency but the band is so saturated now.
Way too true, there's been environments where I've had to stop using wireless mice because the band was so saturated.
