I have a Switch OLED. When I want to make the partition I do not have the 2x29 option, but instead I have 2x58 directly. In the comments I see that the same thing happens to several people. @@MrMario2011 At minute 11:10 you mention 2x29 Mario, and since I don't have . Could you clarify this for me please? Another thing, is there any way to know if it is safe to play from the original CFW without the risk of banning?
Its because the OLED is a 64GB internal vs Standard/Lite that have 32GB internal. Therefore, you have to emulate a 64GB sysnand (2x58) instead of the 32GB Sysnand (2x29) like shown in the video. Just go with 2x58 and you should be fine. Worked for me.
No applications have chunks higher than 4 GB once installed, they are split. That sounds like you're trying to transfer over NSPs that you either haven't installed yet or already installed and never deleted.

@@MrMario2011 nvm, it seems I can create a FULL NAND folder from the old SD. The nxnand manager is loading, I hope it'll work... thank you for answering 🔥
If it was me? I would temporarily format the card in a PC after it has been partitioned to exFAT And only load up Hekate in order to copy over and restore your rawnand.bin file. After that has been restored, format the main data partition on PC to FAT32 And do your file copy.
exFAT driver is problematic and can corrupt your data easily on CFW, which is why it isn't recommended. Install any large files through something like DBI and USB and it won't be an issue.

Thinking either upgrade to 500 GB or 1.5 TB. Going to be trying this later on, wonder if 1.5 TB would be too high
It's better to have too much storage as opposed to too little!
Testing this out, got over 1 TB on emmu. Was curious if this is shared storage
What if you cannot load back into hekate? I have tried several things and looked for info but everything I saw to try doesn’t work. Always loads into atmosphere. It’s like hekate doesn’t exist? Is there a way to reinstall hekate?
It will launch as long as you inject the payload. If you have it set to autoboot Atmosphere, you need to hold Vol+ or Vol- when you inject and boot into Hekate.
Couldnt you just copy the partitions exactly as they are from old sd to new sd and deal with most of this?
Do these steps work on a Mac? Many thanks in advance to the legendary Mr Mario 2011.
Yep! Desktop OS doesn't matter, I created the tutorial with that in mind.
Can you transfer when certain software data is archived? I can’t un archive everything because I don’t have enough space
That won't make a difference thankfully.
Thanks helped a lot mate
No problem 👍
will there be a problem if i do not have those files at 15:16? the system emmc? i just found out that i do not have those...but i still have the files inside emummc folder
did you ever figure it out? because it happened to me too and i followed the guide 100% switch OLED
if i look in hekate on the switch through tinfoil it says emummc disabled. How do i migrate to a larger micro sd card in this situation please
I have a Switch OLED.
When I want to make the partition I do not have the 2x29 option, but instead I have 2x58 directly.
In the comments I see that the same thing happens to several people.
Even so, my question is this, why should I choose 2x58 instead of just 58 Full? Why does the Switch OLED need 2 Emummc?
OLED does not need two.
@@MrMario2011 At minute 11:10 you mention 2x29 Mario, and since I don't have . Could you clarify this for me please?
Another thing, is there any way to know if it is safe to play from the original CFW without the risk of banning?
2x29 is not 2x58
@@MrMario2011 It dont give the option 2x29 at my oled. i have used the 58 full option
Will this help me transfer from Switch Lite to Switch OLED?
No
@@MrMario2011 do you have a video for setting up an sd card from scratch? The console already has hekate
How do I format the original SD card so that I can use it on something else? It has two partitions at the moment.
Delete all of the partitions.
when i try to partition the new sd card the 2x29 option is not showing its only showing 2x58 max please help
Move it around to find 2x29
@@MrMario2011 It's the same for me, there is no 2 x 29 option at all
@@MrMario2011 It's the same for me, there is no 2 x 29 option at all
@@MrMario2011 It's 2x12 and then immediately 2x59
Its because the OLED is a 64GB internal vs Standard/Lite that have 32GB internal. Therefore, you have to emulate a 64GB sysnand (2x58) instead of the 32GB Sysnand (2x29) like shown in the video. Just go with 2x58 and you should be fine. Worked for me.
My old SD Card show SD Files so I follow the steps but on my new sd card it shows boot.dat even the new sd card have the boot.dat files
you're a lifesaver!
How do i do this without a partition or the EmuNAND?
how do you overcome the file size limits of fat32 I have nsp files of 6Gb? how do I transfer those to sd card?
No applications have chunks higher than 4 GB once installed, they are split.
That sounds like you're trying to transfer over NSPs that you either haven't installed yet or already installed and never deleted.
No luck for me. Everything is fine until 17:35. Atfer tapping Launch i get emuMMS is forced but not enabled. after reboot emuMMC is in disabled state and i can't enable it.
Well. Turned out that was caused by faulty micro SD card. That was chinese counterfeit.
Can you do how to update hekate, atm and hos, since I tried to migrate from 128gb to 512gb card, using file sd but my payload won't load, my switch just stay dead even when I tried to boot. But using latest hekate my switch can enter boot but I lost all my 128gb setting I can't even load atm
No
when restoring the emuMMC back again, its telling me this: "This may render the deivce inoperative" i've done everything right just don't know why it says this.
Make sure you're doing emuMMC, not sysMMC
@ it is emuMMC. Now when I go check on it, it’s enable but I didn’t restore it. I might be in trouble.
Bro I have just bought a jailbreak Switch Light. and when I followed your instruction, I've found my emuMMC info & selection is Disabled. I don't know what I have to do now
Sounds like you missed a step, if everything is set up properly then it should be enabled.
I got same problem my emummc disabled, what to do? What step do i miss?
How do i move from SD file to SD Raw Partition?
This video is not intended for that, however a Google search I did does show promising results. Good luck!
@@MrMario2011 Do you mean emutool?
Is it necessary to download the emummmc when there are blocker apps ?
Depends on your usage.
@@MrMario2011 I won't go online on it tho, also I wanted to ask all the tools that are not in the homebrew I would have to find them in GitHub or you have a guide for that too ?
Sorry for the bother I'm new to this so just want to do things right.
How would i be able to transfer the games that i have in my old SD card if theyre more than 4GB? Wouldnt FAT32 prevent files over 4GB?
If they're installed already there's no issue since Horizon breaks installed games into appropriate chunks.
@@MrMario2011 oh interesting. Thank you for responding quickly. Much appreciated.
hi ,can you please tell my how to tranfer all data from old hacked swith to a new hacked oled switch?
That's not what this video covers.
mine says disabled. "emuMMC is disabled and eMMC will be used for boot
Do deleting my games and backup gpp will less thw storage space?
what
Just got a sp 256gb sd card running on my V1 and just filled it in 12 hours. Happens to be prime day today, there's a bunch of 512gb for cheap 👀
If you need a recommendation? Samsung is AWESOME from my experience.
@@MrMario2011Ty! Thanks for the rec and video. I totally get the process
@@MrMario2011 ended up going with a SanDisk 512gb from Walmart, only was 20usd! Seems to be the same spec as the official switch ones. Hoping for the best
What a bummer, seems as if I didn't save my emummc backup and only sys backup for some reason. My 256gb SD card corrupted last night after trying to install Hades which crashed the system not allowing me to boot. Think I'm gonna restart the whole process sadly lol@@MrMario2011
So, the thing is, I just copied and pasted everything from my old SD CARD in a folder on my laptop. But now, the old SD is corrupted. I placed everything from the old SD that I had in my laptop, in my new SD card. But it doesn't work. Do you have any suggestions?
Unfortunately if your old SD card is corrupted, it probably corrupted the contents.
@@MrMario2011 nvm, it seems I can create a FULL NAND folder from the old SD. The nxnand manager is loading, I hope it'll work... thank you for answering 🔥
Do you loose your save game files while following this tutorial?
Nothing in here would wipe your data unless you choose to.
its not copy the rawnand.bin because of fat32 cannot copy large file what should i do?
If it was me? I would temporarily format the card in a PC after it has been partitioned to exFAT And only load up Hekate in order to copy over and restore your rawnand.bin file.
After that has been restored, format the main data partition on PC to FAT32 And do your file copy.
@@MrMario2011 its what i did thanks
So let’s say I screw up somewhere down the line, I can just put my old sd card back in and everything will be ok?
Yes, this doesn't make any changes to your actual console.
@@MrMario2011 does the drive lettering need to be the same or is that irrelevant?
@@tde439 It doesn't have to be the same. Just make sure you select the correct disk to clone and the target disk.
Thx mate :) .
No problem 👍
FYI Exfat is better because every nsp or xci file u use for games will need to be split & is 3x the work
exFAT driver is problematic and can corrupt your data easily on CFW, which is why it isn't recommended. Install any large files through something like DBI and USB and it won't be an issue.
Can I use this to migrate my entire system, os and games to a new system? I want to put everything on my old switch on an oled
Nope, this is not a system transfer.
