Great video. In 2007 I bought a brand new Fiat Panda 100hp. In 2018 I bought a brand new Abarth 595. The Abarth was a natural progression from the Panda. Both great cars.
Good stuff as usual Daniel 👍🏻. One thing though, maybe consider another microphone for your guest, as it was quite hard to hear the interview at the table and him while driving
I'm 62 years old, and I love my 2012 500 Sport. !00 hp is enough, nearly always. But we used to also have a 500L with the Abarth engine and transmission. That one was seriously quick, and it looked innocent. Many drivers of really hot cars were unpleasantly surprised. But when it was time to choose, I kept the 500 sport. Frank Stephenson's sympathetic reimagining of the original 500 was so good. Unfortunately, it is "cute" and thought of as a high school girl's car here. But I can follow a Porsche 911 on the twisty highway to our cabin near big bear. :-)
I love hot hatches! I had a old punto but after fitting the third gearbox I said I would never have another fiat but I love the look of them! They are the same indicator stalks that were on my punto i only hope it’s not the same gearbox 😂
as someone who owns a punto essesse and in the process of putting though a painfully bad mot, quirky or charm are certainly not the words I'd use to describe what I now refer to as a surprise restoration project lol :) love the vids man👍
I repaired my sisters fiat 500 wheel bearing 4 times, in my opinion awful cars haha, but they do look cool. She only put about 30k miles on it from 50k, and by that time it was pretty much scrap value. Just very poorly built cars in the long run
Thanks for having me!!!!!!
It was my pleasure! Absolutely brilliant day 😁

Great bit of consumer journalism - err, they're both good! :P
It’s the truth! 😅
Wow this Alec person seems very knowledgeable, would love to see him on a podcast or something
Alec is great. He’ll be appearing on the Daniel Drives Podcast soon enough. Follow the show on the usual podcast places to be ready!

Cheers Jim! It’s definitely on the list, it was a shame the in-car audio kept clipping. Apologies!

Fiats are great! 😄
My mam has a fiat 500 and she loves it and had no problems yet, she wants a abarth but my dad thinks she goes fast enough in the standard one! 😂
Ciao Daniel sempre bravissimo. 🥰

Cheers!
What have you done to the exhaust on the panda?
It’s a Powerflow exhaust system :)
Panda every day :D
Great video as always but if you can review the abarth punto to make the abarth duo
That would be good.
@@DanielDrivesbecause I am really thinking that of getting that car as my first car
whats your discord channel
It’s the AutoAlex Discord server for channel members.
I have had both. 100hp was far superior. Suspension on the SS was crap!

Panda every time. The other thing is very chavvy😢
The Abarth is so ugly. The Panda is way more racy.y
