    Just got fitted last night for the ST-Z 230 driver, 3 wood and 19° hybrid. They're UNREAL and I have never enjoyed hitting woods as much as I'm enjoying these so far. 10/10

    This is the one I've been waiting for! Super interesting to see the results being in the market for a new 3 Wood this year I can't wait to test this against the likes of TSR2 and the new Paradym

    I'm using an st200 ts and loving it. Mainly as a tee club and it's good in the wind. The feel/sound is superior to others.

    Using this as a secondary driving club to my stz220 but that I can play into the wind and also draw easier. I also like being able to run it up on long par 5s.Playing the tsr3 18* 5wood as my long green holder that I can shape, launch high and hold greens with. Mizuno is still a little underrated to me, crazy forgiving with more than enough distance.

    Wow, this could be a great fit, I need to test this one, I tend to deliver a high amount of dynamic loft to the ball and my heads, shafts and fittings (as well as my instruction) are focused on controlling that loft. Anything that gets the flight and my target window down usually matches my swing better than clubs designed to help players get the ball up.

    Been waiting for this one! Still have the original STZ wood in the bag, my fav club on the course!

    I bought a Mizuno 3wood a few years back because of TXG. Great club but it never found a purpose in my bag with all other clubs and shafts. (Your 'fault' again).
    So, my youg neighbour who is 1-2 in HCP who use to compee for the club but lost confidence and had too work a wee to much etc... got to try the club with various shafts.
    Around Sept 2022 I asked him what he thought and he said he loved it. He was not a 3wood guy but with driver struggles it fit both off and on the tee.
    So I gave him the club and shaft selecred. I rather have it loved than stuck in my storage somewhere

    Old ST-Z 3 and 5 woods will be tough to get out of my bag. Love the flight and distance balance I get out of them.

    Fitted for the ST-X 230 driver and the ST-X 3 wood and ST-X 4 Hybrid.
    Very consistent with the driver and most shots stayed on the fairway way more forgiveness than my current setup. I didn't get on well with the new STZ 230 woods and hybrid though, it's a shame they didn't bring out an X model in the new 230 range and have to stick with the older 220 colours. But I hit the ST-X 220 better so the proof is in the numbers.

      I just received my 220 5-wood yesterday and it flies from 205-235 yards...and I'm not a big hitter. It has a moderate and penetrating flight.

    Looks like a great club. With this kinda heat, though, would have liked to see a 16.5. It's understandable though that it may not sell enough for it to be viable for Mizuno.

  • @ichor20

    Personally, I don't want to have my woods br absolute low spinning bullets. I cranked the lofts on my 3/5W so I could hold a green better when attacking pins. Distances are pretty consistent so this helps me with my course management. For reference, I'm a 20HCP.

    Its going to take a lot to get me out of my Cobra Speedzone 3w, absolutely flies, very forgiving and been my club off the tee when the driver fails. Think the Stz looks the business though.

  • @adupuy
    @adupuy Год назад

    Absolutely considering the Mizuno driver and fairway woods this year! I am a pretty reasonable driver of the ball with my miss the high, spinny, slice. So, I think for driver, I need to consider the STZ. But I want to maintain good launch, which I can struggle with. Same goes for fairway woods. I compensate by lofting up! Yes, the old SLDR campaign. I play a 10.5 driver loft (PXG Gen 5 with the weights forward) and carry a 16.5 and 21 Sim Max 2 so that I can get some carry. I do tend to lose a little distance on my 16.5, so a 15-degree that launches well could be the ticket. I hope to try both the driver and fairway woods soon. If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them ;-)

    For me…..I’d be keeping the older version in the bag without question. Low spin clubs are the most overrrated thing in golf. Every tour player is trying to ADD spin. Every 20 cap is trying to lower it.

    • @jacobmccain8082

      Preach. My 7 wood spins at 4500 on average. Best club in my bag. Low 3k spin is great for distance if you NEVER touch the toe!

    • @markwest9119
      @markwest9119 Год назад +1

      I agree. I love my STZ 3 wood and 5 wood for those very reasons. I only have one major complaint (relates to Jacob McCain's reply) - where is the STZ 7 wood Mizuno!?!? That's the missing piece in my bag. I wish Mizuno had made an STZ 7 wood. Just recently bought the JPX923 HMP in 4 thru PW and the HM in 4 & 5 iron (overlapped the 4 & 5 on purpose for options). Have both the TSR2 and STG-220 (love the G with the weights in the back) drivers in the bag. An STZ 7 wood would be perfect. I'll be looking for a good 7 wood option soon. Also using the Cleveland CBX2 wedges which I really like, but the Mizuno S23s look to be very interesting.

      Comparing the needs of 99.9% of golfers vs the needs of the 0.1% of golfers is like comparing apples to terracotta pots. Your not even in the same universe. It's comes down to distance vs control. 95% of golfers have swings that produce low launch and high spin... over the top, downward angle of attack, open face etc. Etc..... low launch + high spin = less distance therefore most golfers can benefit from having a club that can increase launch and lower spin to give them more distance. Pros are elite ball strikers and don't need more distance, they need control. At their speeds, lower spin = less control. More spin = more control with Lower ball flight, more stopping power etc etc. There needs are completely opposite.

    • @TXchadTX
      @TXchadTX Год назад

      @@vedrfolnirvedrfolnir6840 the reality is that even if you’re a bomber who can carry a low spin 3 wood 280. You’re never going to use that shot. If you’re 300 yards out on a par5 you’re better off laying up. If you need that off the tee you might as well hit driver
