Thank you for these videos! You obviously know your business. However, I'm not a painter but just enjoy watching your videos for relaxation. It sure beats listening to news headlines!
WOW! what a huge difference already..... Please may i ask why you hang the lining paper horizontally? I only ask as truly would like to know/understand.... Thanks in advance Really looking forward to part 3!!!
Thank you. We cross line so less joints and it's faster. Also if wallpaper is ever hung it's cross hatched which helps to not double up joints the same way, makes it stronger less chance a joint lifting. Thanks
Your customers must be absolutely delighted with the quality of your workmanship and the great care you take with every step. Wonderful to watch a craftsman at work!
If you use diluted PVA just two full coats needed. Make sure it's like milky water and soaked in. When dry it looks like you have done nothing. Then no need for a mist coat. Thanks
@@PaintingandDecorating I’ll give it a try. I literally thought I could use the diluted ova in a garden pump spray thing to put it on without the labour of mist coating with roller etc
I can’t thank you enough for your brilliant videos. I really appreciate you explaining in straight terms how to do job properly I’m a novice and nowhere near your standard but with at least I’ve now got the confidence to try merry Christmas x
Wow! What a difference already! I’ll definitely try the insulating lining paper on my window wall and fill it because it lets in a really cold draught at the moment. Looking forward to the next video 😊
I really respect your professionalism. What craftsmanship! Could I please ask whereabout you are based? We would love to have you to help us with our house. Thank you.
What a transformation, so much work, I wonder how much the customers invoice will be!?!.., will also be interesting to see the end temperature difference with the thermal gun.., must be warmer now.., please keep the vids coming, haven’t seen your brother do one for a while…👍👍
yeah I was on a job last week on a 19th century house exterior had the neighbour on my case everyday said your not sealing that wall are ya as it has to breath it had been sand and cemented and painted with a standard masonry paint since the 50's
Nowt worse than trying to paper a ceiling when there’s furniture in there your forever moving the furniture and your plank set up! Suppose not everybody can empty a room for you Some customers empty everything some NOTHING You’ve probably come across this!😁
Me personally I'd have ripped the ceiling diwn if my own property,,it seems like it's day is done but that's me lol..I thiught pva is a no no on plaster walls before painting? Doing a good job though pal 👍
I’ve got the same shears as you bloody weigh a ton always falling out of my pocket you have to watch out if it’s a new finished floor😖 reverted back to the regular pro dec jobs!
They're ok as the final finish trade that they are, decoration and minor patching. As for building and construction knowledge, its a no. See he can't resist skitty comments when he's been told times many about certain types of building make up. Perhaps not so much with this property, and granted the overall footage isn't enough to guage the property and its construction. However there ARE certain types of stone AND brick which are porous and that's where you really need to know what you're doing with lime plaster and other finishes.
Thank you, and ignore the other comment not sure what he keeps going on about. I think he thinks everything is lime plaster and we all live in mud huts. Thanks

Hey mate. Is watered down pva as effective as watered down emulsion for mist coating?

Yes it's funny how people think.
This is what I think people mean by polishing a turd. Don't address core issues... just cover them up.
Yep, but you can actually polish a turd.
👍👍👍.Thanks
Thank you 👍
