    For the past year or so my husband wanted to try 90 day carnivore detox. I was skeptical, but decided to join him. It’s been a little bit over 2 weeks. I lost 10 lb, always full and my energy levels are stable. I do get some doubts here and there from time to time, but watching your 90 day update gave me confidence to continue. Thanks for your videos!

    It is good to see you both so happy. It’s that way for my wife and I. 63 years old, 2.5 years carnivore. Life is better. No meds, lean, strong, fit, calm. We look forward to meals, no hassle, easy quick, tasty. Shopping is no longer a burden. We feel great, but it’s just normal that we never knew. No need for a New Year’s resolution. We like what we have. Others envy us.

      You know what? Same here. Been trying this diet off and on since 2016 and only marginal success. I think I’ve never eaten enough fat and was eating too much protein and recently realized if you’re insulin resistant you can’t do that. You have to eat more fat and moderate protein. I can tell a difference in how I feel AND I’ve been wearing a CGM and when I eat higher fat and less protein my blood sugar goes DOWN. I’ve struggled with HBP since going carnivore and kept thinking it was the electrolytes but it turns out it was not getting enough fat. I’ve tested this theory TWICE and both times my BP dropped significantly. So, in my humble opinion, carbs make you sick but when you cut them out you don’t need to add more protein, you’re likely getting plenty, you just need to replace the carb calories with fat and use a TDEE calculator to find out the number of calories you need for your GOAL weight and make sure you eat that much every day to keep from under eating. So that’s what I’m going to do CONSISTENTLY for the next three months and see if I can’t end up a success story…lol Good luck and don’t give up. You already know going back to the standard American diet won’t work.

      @@simplechatelaineso more fat makes your bp go down?

    • @simplechatelaine
      @simplechatelaine 17 дней назад +2

      @ It appears so. In the past, before I did the two extra fat experiments I tested trying to eat more potassium containing foods (was not carnivore or low carb then) and noticed when I’d eat pinto beans my BP would drop dramatically. I assumed it was the potassium but realize now it was the fat because I made refried beans with a crap ton of lard in them (I mean who’s going to eat beans without a ton of fat in them…lol) and it just never occurred to me it could be the fat. Fat is just fat, right? Well there is a lot of potassium in pork so who knows BUT when I did the added fat it WAS added lard by itself and it dropped my BP again dramatically. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I mean I got light headed and everything. Absolutely nothing I’d do would help until I stumbled on this. Walking, eating more vegetables, reducing salt. And I didn’t develop high blood pressure until the last 3-4 years. I was on 3 different meds and it still wasn’t helping. I am down to 2 meds and have significantly reduced them. I think the added fat is going to get me completely off them in a month’s time. I already feel sooo much better. Honestly I was really beginning to get worried because I was running out of ideas to try!

    Hey guys! Great stuff! I just wanted to say that you should do some research on a better sweetener like monk fruit or at least a better stevia product because stevia in the raw is really deceptive. The FIRST ingredient is dextrose, which has a glycemic index higher than table sugar.
    I actually personally follow Paul Saladino’s “animal based” diet that reintroduces fruit and raw honey because I believe it offers the same benefits to my family as carnivore but without the drawbacks of electrolyte imbalance, higher stress from cortisol, worse sleep, and lower testosterone. I would be really curious if y’all tried that diet for 30 days or something!

    • @thewilliamstable

      Hi Carson. Thank you for watching our video. And for the stevia info. It has given me some things to think about. I have purchased monk fruit before and noticed it had erythitol in it. I don’t know if they all do. Or if it was that name brand. But I know that causes inflammation in my body. I’m so used to stevia because I have used it a decade. But I will do some more research. As for the fruits….very scared to implement plants. I do not want to lose my healing or have hair loss. I know there is a connection between hair loss and adding plants in while on carnivore. I don’t know that I would be willing to do it. Again, I need to do more research. You’ve given me some things to think about.
