the adjustable top arm (front and rear) are not that useful. the camber angle is not to the end point of the suspension, because the suspension arm of TT02 are much shorter than type S. the suspension arm of type S almost reaches the centre of the wheel, change the camber angle from type S's TRF arm does change the wheel camber angle. for TT02 change the angle of chamber jsut change the angle of tilting, the point you changed is far away from the centre of the wheel.
Justin Thorsson hi mate. For this run I was using a cheap setup to have some fun. The motor is a goolrc 5200kv and the esc is a trackstar 120amp 1/8 scale. Running a 3s battery. I don’t use gyro’s. I just dint find the need for them once you have the car setup for straight line speed. The noise is the servo.
Hi mate, You will need some oil filled shocks, I use the Tamiya TRF shock. Alloy prop shaft and cups. High speed gear Yeah racing motor mount Foam tires Bearings Heavy duty servo horn Shims for the suspension joints And a good aero body.
@@StewMac570 thank you brother! What spur and pinion size are you running? And i dont know what shims are lol sorry to bug you but any info on those 2 things would be much appreciated. Love your videos. Amazing, especially what you get out of those GoolRC motors. Wow!
ToroTechRC Hustler for gearing I switched to Robison racing 48p. I think I was running 47/55 in that setup. But gearing is a black art. It’s best to start off lower and work you way up.
@@StewMac570 Thanks for the reply! On the first site i found nothing for the tamiya in 190mm GT-one style. The second site i found one similar item "#297 Riley Daytona Body" Will this fit the TT02RR without a problem? I really would like the Toyota GT1 190MM like you have in the video but i cant find that exact body on those two sites or anywhere on the internet for that matter.
ejb 84 the RR is the newest version. It has the hard blue chassis, oil filled shocks and adjustable camber top arms. The. type S uses a totally different et of suspension arms. They are the best suspension you can get for the TT02. It depends on what you want to do, but i personally think the RR has better parts out of the box.
Rowan Hick $50 worth of damage. That’s the beauty of the Tamiya they are at the lower end of the RC’s so parts are cheap. Going to order a faster motor this week. Going for the 125mph mark.
Ayver Lashon im not 100% sure as this was some time ago. But it looks like the 48t pinion. But the spur could have been 60,55 or 49. Most of my runs use a combination or pinions ranging from 37 - 49 and spurs ranging from 65 a 49.
Ayver Lashon the spur gears are fine as they are smaller. I use the high speed gear set and use Robinson Racing 48p gears. To fit the pinion the gear cover needs to be cut out to clear the bigger gears.
@@StewMac570 I thought that was the goolrc motor those a good motors had the 3674 2250kv and the toro sct 120a esc in my stampede alot fun couldn't keep the wheels down paid $22 for the motor $32 for the esc.
Antonio Eufracio hahaha it sounds like it but no. The servo is a trackstar thing. The noise is from the esc fan. It was missing a blade so must have been in balanced. This whole setup was as cheap as I could make it.
Nice run! Love that deep breath in and out just before...lol. Its high stress those speed runs are.
What a run! It seems you've found the perfect location for that 👍
Great run and I’m amazed how well it survived.
me too! it will be back together soon and with a new motor and loctite on the pinion grub screw
Awesome run. Man that thing is fast.

What was the spur and pinion combo if you don't mind me asking 😊
I can’t remember that back sorry
I have a basic tt02. What upgrades should i do first? Excluding motor and electronics. What are the essentials? Please?
And i mean for speed runs like this
Hi mate,
You will need some oil filled shocks, I use the Tamiya TRF shock.
Alloy prop shaft and cups.
High speed gear
Yeah racing motor mount
Foam tires
Bearings
Heavy duty servo horn
Shims for the suspension joints
And a good aero body.

For the TT02 you will need 5mm, 3mm and 8mm.
i am looking for a GT-one style body like you have on your TT02-RR to race with, where can i get one that fits that chassis? Thank you!
also what is the size of the body im looking for, 190mm? is that correct?
Dylan Chadderton 190mm is the standard Tamiya body.

@Dylan Chadderton the bodies should state the wheelbase.
At least you did not lose a body clip. I never have enough.
Hahaha a body clip I could handle. I have loosing perfectly good parts that only come in packs.
What are the full specs of the car? Motor battery esc gearing?
Dakota Martin
A lot of detail on the build page I created on Facebook

What receiver is in that car the range is massive?
FRsky which is a copy of a Futaba FASST receiver. I’ll get 400m out of it

That car has been rebuilt, ran and sold. That video was 3 years ago.

Es kommt nicht nur darauf an schnell zu werden, sondern auch das Auto dabei ganz zu lassen. Was ein Schwachsinn🤭
Yeah not all passes go to plan. It is good when you can come home with a car in one piece.
