  • This video is a detailed walkthrough of the Montana High Country 295RL at the 2020 Halifax RV. I am not paid or compensated for doing trailer reviews. I like checking out all types of new RVs. I spent a lot of time when shopping for ours, and still like to check out and research rigs. My videos are intended to share my experience, thoughts, and insight with you!
    My reviews are unbiased, and my opinions are my own.

    Just sold my 2016 High Country. Happy it's gone. It was almost the same floor plan as that unit. The leveling system is tempermental. The trailer must be almost perfectly level side to side before it will auto level. That was a learning curve, and RUclips was a life saver. I would never buy a coach with the cable actuated slides again. We had cables snap on four different occasions in a year, once resulting in not being able to close the large kitchen slide on checkout day. We also had a slide motor blow out. If you plan to camp without hook ups, do not get a residential refrigerator. It takes an inverter to run it on batteries. I had six house batteries with solar backup, and it couldn't run the frigde over night. It forced us to stay in RV parks almost all the time on our US tour. Trying to find qualified technicians to work on these things is a real chore, especially in emergency situations is difficult at best, and expensive. We spent almost $2000 on repairs that I couldnt do myself. If you are handy, have tools and can get parts, RUclips is a valuable resource. It was a fun trip, all in all, but not without frustration and worry about whats next. We're over it.

      Save your money. The quality has gotten terrible in the last five years.

    Beautiful!!!! Love everything about it.... except I'd trade that bedroom window for hanging wardrobe bc there's already one BR window. TFS... Great review video. New sub here! 😁

    I don't think we will ever buy a new RV, but it's nice to see all the new features. We are too cheap! 🤔🤣 I'm not sold on the glass, a little much for us. It's great how the MFGs are embracing technology. Love the bed arrangement. Happy you did not bruise your noggin. Nice features, thanks for sharing.

    Very spacious and elegant. Way more than we would ever need, but they are nice.

    A very good tour of this great looking RV. Looks like they had a great RV show there. I have never attended one. Thanks for sharing and hope you are having a lovely Sunday afternoon.

    Very nice. Except the one thing I can't understand about Montana's is the absence of a range exhaust hood and vent. It appears you have to rely on the ceiling vent-fan above the microwave oven with all those cooking vapors and fumes being drawn past the chef's face. In a luxury RV that is unacceptable. (The rear kitchen models have and optional range exhaust hood. But it looks weird with the bare duct going up to the ceiling.)

      I do prefer a range exhaust hood. The quicker we can get the heat and humidity out, the better!

      If your Class A works well keep it and upgrade/modernize it. The quality of the units being built now is terrible, especially Thor products.

    Window in bedroom is waisted space. Much rather have long closet there.

    • @LifeonOURtime

      It is a compromise on storage to have it. And the washer/dryer combo go into the bathroom.

  • @williamwyer8520
    @williamwyer8520 3 года назад +1

    All that storage and not enough room to wash your background

    really nice floor plan but these new Montana's are a joke compared to my 2011 High Country 323RL, this and the 294RL are 2 feet shorter than mine, dry weight is about 2K lbs more and the pin weight damn near requires a 3500 chassis. 3 years into this design and the front glass is still patent pending. the taller windows result in lost interior storage and mine has the nice REAL coat closet ..... not to mention the price .... ignorant !!!
