Question on solar versus generator. If you're the type of camper and primarily likes to go to RV parks and have the hookups. Only times with no shore power is maybe when you're pulled off and napping or you end up having one night without an RV park to go into.. would it be best to have solar or is the generator better option?
In the dresser space in the bedroom when you mentioned about the desk it be cool to have the top of that dresser pick up like the coffee table style for your house that pull toward you do use for snacks and things it would double great in that situation for a desk where you could sit on the bed end and work comfortably
Question on the bathroom, does the shower have a seat, so old people like me can sit if needed? Like the set up and length very much. We be getting ready to retire soon and are looking to travel. While you were explaining that the 294/295 RL had blue buttons for the control panel, you didn't tell us if the InCommand system was available on the 2021 Montana 294/295 as an option even. Must I stick to the Cougars to get InCommand?
Apologies no. Factory backlogs have become rather extreme which has left us unable to predict with any level of certainty when things might be rolling in next. Every day here is just a case of "hurry up and wait" hoping to see something rolling in
Years ago I lived in a 32ft, believe it was a Montana. The opposing slides really open the space. This looks to be just about what I'm looking for. Nice that with slides in, it's still kinda a functional kitchen. I need to research the solar setup to see how it compares to the victron I see a lot of people using. If I wasn't on the left coast I'd come check this rig out.
So you know when you're ready -- montana has no west-coast production. EVERY Montana comes from Northern Indiana. Shipping is not standardized in the RV industry, so a western dealer may be paying around $4,000 to get the RV to their dealership where we pay nearly nothing since we're local. Even if we ship it out aftermarket shipping is usually a little less vs. factory shipping And if you choose to collect the RV yourself -- that's where you really save

Glad to see them adding inverted outlets, especially in the kitchen for my Bunn coffee maker :) Really like the split different sized sinks. That is all I am missing in mine. In a few years I want to get a Montana. You can pull this with a three quarter ton correct? Mine is gas.
Just one of "class defining" things. It's not a super common feature in that class/price point (not impossible to find of course). They've focused the budget limited to their target elsewhere (like the rain sensoring vent fan)

Can an F-150 safely pull a fully loaded Montana 295RL? I was told by the dealer Im purchasing from the Ford F-150 can handle this trailer other wise I plan on a good used 2500 pickup…what would you recommend otherwise?
There's no way I would ever personally haul any montana model with an F150 nor would I ever mention that to a customer. Every aspect of this RV is likely beyond what a half-ton should be handling I would highly recommend finding a new dealer staffed by people who know their way around towing and payload capacities. A 3/4 ton may be a good fit but still needs to have the right specs in certain areas for something the size of a 295RL. We'd love the opportunity to work with you when you're ready & are happy to provide you the proper towing advisory you deserve along the way. If we don't happen to have a location near you, then at least find someone who isn't willing to sacrifice your safety to make a sale.

Step aboves have actually increased their top step by about 25% this year to fill that little cap where you could drop your keys previous, but each has their neat "quirks!"
It's a *significantly* more effective heating system. When you get rid of floor vents you lose a *lot* of heating airflow. Montana is a true cold camp tested RV so they use the heating system best equipped to accomplish that goal. I actually have a video on this very subject coming out later today at ruclips.net/video/saU96ot_sUU/видео.html After 4pm eastern it should be ready for viewing!
I have read where floor vents have 37% better air flow than typical furniture/cabinet outlets. When I'm cold.....I'll take that 37% more air and smile! Little vent filters available on Amazon to help keep dirt out of them
@@JoshtheRVNerd Will look for your new video; hate to distract from a Keystone for a Jayco video, but I was just watching your marathon discussion with the Jayco director yesterday, where you also had a long conversation on the topic. (Long, but lots of interesting takes. ruclips.net/video/5hfb_QKJvv0/видео.html )
Each “division” of Montana has its own floor plans. It’s not like a car mfg where they have multiple Trims on the same layout with these. A high country is just a high country “Full Monty” does everything a high country does and then some. It has a fairly similar layout see here m.ruclips.net/video/-y8YHcNMTOk/видео.html&pp=sAQA Ironically the full Monty does have a trim package Called legacy you can apply to their layouts as seen here m.ruclips.net/video/VpI0tJkDwmk/видео.html&pp=sAQA
I don't know why everyone seems to have forgotten Keystone already did that back in like 2007. It was called the Fuzion Vizion. There's a few of them floating around out there if you run a quick google search. There was also a one-off prototype concept unit called a Down Under produced once. The end result was not a great deal of success. Common feedback generally indicated most buyers were not interested in a very heavy fifth wheel that only provided a trailer trailer's interior clearance. The belly storage is great, but was seen as impractical due to its sheer quantity. Much of it went unused. Keystone owns the patents to that kind of concept. I'm pretty sure Palomino is going to have to pay them royalties for the production. But I commend any MFG for trying to push the envelop and take the market in new directions. Like Montana's Super Solar package. It's had a slow start, but it's gotten people thinking about new and exciting things we just never saw from the factory-level before.
@@markgarvey5859 it's a very neat concept, but sort of like a truck camper I think -- has a niche purpose in the marketplace. Don't get me wrong -- I hope to see weird and wild concepts take hold out there. We often have people tell us how they cannot fill the storage in things those montanas with that rear sliding tray. There's a balance there I think
I hear ya i just thought it was interesting an it does probably way a lot. You know I all jayco Montana guy thats y I always on your channel keep those videos comming my man your the best

It has the towing capacity but depending on your package your cargo capacity might not be enough. Strang thing is my Cougar 368MBI is heavier dry but lighter on the pin.
Hi Floyd. I’m hoping you can help me clarify here. 295 model you have requested is specifically a rear living room not a rear kitchen. Would you be able to clarify? Or perhaps give our team a call and we can assist you in locating a model that fits your needs and wants

I'm not 100% sure. I suspect they've done some under-the-skin bulking up in areas. Montana/Cougar both have put on some weight this year on some models.
Sorry Janet -- I'm working on it. I'm backlogged on recording/editing/posting content while keeping our site up to date. Getting everything done as quickly as I can. Sometimes I don't have pricing available on a new arrival as soon as it lands. As I recall under current pricing these usually run in the very low 50's -- and remember we don't do hidden dealer fees. I'm sure someone would advertise it for 49,999 but then you need to buckle up for a ride thru the fees office and financing "forced add ons" train lol
I like azdel as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure there'd be a significant benefit here. You'd save a little weight, but not enough to change the tow vehicle Montana's structural integrity is pretty legendary already. Azdel or not... you need to manage those seals. The little bit of sound dampening from azdel would probably be nice though!
Did you mean corner bunk? That's something that fits nicely within Cougar's wheel house for sure. Montana puts their sights on a different segment in the market. You can always reach out to them to pass along the idea of course.
@@simplyblessedrvlife9067 Gen Prep is an available option for ALL Montana fifth wheels. It is almost never included standard from a dealer's stock however. It's usually something you'll need to request on a personal build

Step aboves have actually increased their top step by about 25% this year to fill that little cap where you could drop your keys previous, but each has their neat "quirks!"
Just wondering why they put the vents in the floor still , I love the Montana but I really dislike floor vents , is there a reason?
It's a *significantly* more effective heating system. When you get rid of floor vents you lose a *lot* of heating airflow. Montana is a true cold camp tested RV so they use the heating system best equipped to accomplish that goal.
I actually have a video on this very subject coming out later today at ruclips.net/video/saU96ot_sUU/видео.html
After 4pm eastern it should be ready for viewing!

@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you , I kinda figured that Montana had a good reason , my wife and I are going to buy a Montana once I retire 😊
Is the Montana a better 5th wheel than the Alpine?
They're roughly parallel and similar in most major ways, though Montana has maintained a *vastly* higher level of popularity
What about a non-high country 295RL? Isn't a High Country a step down from a full Montana???
Each “division” of Montana has its own floor plans. It’s not like a car mfg where they have multiple Trims on the same layout with these. A high country is just a high country
“Full Monty” does everything a high country does and then some. It has a fairly similar layout see here m.ruclips.net/video/-y8YHcNMTOk/видео.html&pp=sAQA
Ironically the full Monty does have a trim package Called legacy you can apply to their layouts as seen here m.ruclips.net/video/VpI0tJkDwmk/видео.html&pp=sAQA
Nice, I will take it.
Check's in the mail, right? :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd Lol, you are right, lol, I wish because that is a very nice Montana.
Is that a step up in the bed room?
Nope. All flat up there where you walk.
I like this one Josh
I believe it is currently either their #1 or #2 most popular High Country, so you're in good company :)
Hey Josh. Check out crazy 5 th wheel river ranch 390 R L. 1 floor 5th wheel it wild. Jayco needs to make something similar would be good
I don't know why everyone seems to have forgotten Keystone already did that back in like 2007.
I didn't know i thought it was interesting first time i saw 1
@@markgarvey5859 it's a very neat concept, but sort of like a truck camper I think -- has a niche purpose in the marketplace.
Don't get me wrong -- I hope to see weird and wild concepts take hold out there. We often have people tell us how they cannot fill the storage in things those montanas with that rear sliding tray. There's a balance there I think
I hear ya i just thought it was interesting an it does probably way a lot. You know I all jayco Montana guy thats y I always on your channel keep those videos comming my man your the best
Dose Montana have a camper that a 6 foot 7 inch person can take a clean body shower without a cramp or crick.
Yes actually m.ruclips.net/video/SyjzliniA2Q/видео.html
What's the chance of being able to pull this beautiful RV with a 20`6 F250 6.7 diesel, my calculation is its a bit heavy.
It's close enough we really need a little extra info to verify. "Maybe / Maybe Not" is the best I can say with a few key specs. Our team at 800-256-5196 is always happy to assist in return for a fair shake at working with you!
It has the towing capacity but depending on your package your cargo capacity might not be enough. Strang thing is my Cougar 368MBI is heavier dry but lighter on the pin.
@@jeroldkiekhafer7141 This has a larger slide dead on the nose -- that's why it picks up some extra hitch weight vs. a common bed-only slide
That's true and I think the drop frame has something to do with it too.

looking for a 34 ft -- keystone montana hi / country 295 RL with a rear Kitchen -?-
Hi Floyd. I’m hoping you can help me clarify here. 295 model you have requested is specifically a rear living room not a rear kitchen. Would you be able to clarify? Or perhaps give our team a call and we can assist you in locating a model that fits your needs and wants

Is this unit in stock at this time?
I can see right now we do have one on hand at bit.ly/2ORUq3M
But what I cannot see from my seat here is if anything is pending on it. I would recommend giving our team a quick ring at 800-256-5196 to verify availability
Thank you.

$62,567 MSRP. 40% dealer discount = $37,540.20. 30% dealer discount = $43,796.90. 20% dealer discount = $50,053.60.
So why did the weight go up last year it was 11,000lbs
I'm not 100% sure. I suspect they've done some under-the-skin bulking up in areas. Montana/Cougar both have put on some weight this year on some models.
No price available?
Sorry Janet -- I'm working on it. I'm backlogged on recording/editing/posting content while keeping our site up to date. Getting everything done as quickly as I can. Sometimes I don't have pricing available on a new arrival as soon as it lands.
As I recall under current pricing these usually run in the very low 50's -- and remember we don't do hidden dealer fees. I'm sure someone would advertise it for 49,999 but then you need to buckle up for a ride thru the fees office and financing "forced add ons" train lol
Now if they only made it with AZDEL sidewalls.
I like azdel as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure there'd be a significant benefit here. You'd save a little weight, but not enough to change the tow vehicle
Montana's structural integrity is pretty legendary already. Azdel or not... you need to manage those seals.
The little bit of sound dampening from azdel would probably be nice though!
I want one
Well... we have one ;)
Why can't Montana make a model with a conner bunk.
Did you mean corner bunk? That's something that fits nicely within Cougar's wheel house for sure. Montana puts their sights on a different segment in the market.
You can always reach out to them to pass along the idea of course.
Cool
What do you like on this one?
@@JoshtheRVNerd can you get a generator on it
@@simplyblessedrvlife9067 Gen Prep is an available option for ALL Montana fifth wheels. It is almost never included standard from a dealer's stock however. It's usually something you'll need to request on a personal build
