one of my favourite vids that you've actually done you showed the sweep, then proceeded to include the troubleshooting section to explain what to do if your opponent anticipates the sweep excellent stuff
I don't pay nearly enough attention to the belt when rolling in Gi. Hopefully won't have to, but definitely keeping this in mind/trying this tonight, WITH THE BELT GRIPS.
3:00 just watch and re-watch sooooooo many details if you are having trouble with this move, watch his "invisibles" and at 2:47 if you look in the mirror he goes for a lapel choke before setting up the armbar. gotta love it
I love it when your BJJ instructor demonstrates what your gonna cover for the class shows you and then says ok pair up and it's like uh.....wait, can you so that to me again please.
@CarlitosDoritos What's the risk? You're already on bottom in side control... It doesn't get much more dangerous than that. In fact I consider side control more dangerous and more difficult to escape than mount. Especially at Pesadissimo...
It still works…instead of grabbing the belt you are gripping his lat over the back near his arm pit. I suck, but I’m pretty good with this sweep. It is my highest percentage out of side gi or no gi.
A thing of beauty that sweep. That details of passing the opponent's leg from right leg to left leg butterfly is awesome.
That's Black Belt level.
Always thinking 4,5 moves ahead.
Beautiful sweep from side control to armbar.
Thanks to Professor Sauer for the support to Submissions 101 and his amazing contribution to Gracie Jiu Jitsu!!!
the details and purpose of every move is just spectacular! i cannot wait to use this technique when someone passes me to side control.

excellent stuff
His attention to detail is excellent.
Awesome transitioning. I saw an armbar and an arm-triangle that you could opt for depending on your mood.
Love the explanation of the x. Never thought of it like that.
Wow, really fluid transitions.
i'm digging the reflection of the students.

My jaws dropped when he did the move. What a great move. Good teacher.
Pedro Sauer is too smooth!

I was watching this going "oh yeah, seen that before." Then out of nowhere comes a crazy halfguard sweep!!!! I know what I'm doing on Monday :)
Yo' this is good shit, that's for posting!
@orthodoxyn and as a person who does not train in ground fighting im like HOLY SHIT THATS SMART O-O
is that a brown belt now? moving up in the world.
Of course it can dude. He's not gripping the cloth at all, it's all body mechanics
eu tbm hehehe
very nice. would help a lot more if i didnt do no-gi lol

That's a risky move, dont you think? :o
He is like the Professor X of jiu jitsu.
