- Professor Pedro Sauer is considered one of the best Gracie Jiu Jitsu teachers alive today. Those who appreciate the fine details of moves will get a lot out of this video. The Professor breaks down the mounted armbar and where you can fully manipulate the body for full control.
He also has a little talk at the end of the video.
Enjoy my friends! Keep on rolling!

Such a wonderful man. You can feel it how wise he is and how skilled, even without looking at the belt.
Pedro Sauer has to be one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever come across in my life. By the way, BEAUTIFUL TECHNIQUE and details!
I am not a BJJ practitioner, i practice other martial arts but I can only say one thing about professor Sauer: Brilliant!
Spreading the message of Helio Gracie to the world. Pedro Sauer seminars are priceless 😎
Our old gym hosted several and we traveled to get the chance to train with him. Met awesome guys like Alan Magenello, Eddie Camden and Jeff Curran. Many others as well. When. I earned rank from Pedro Sauer I was in awe he thought I deserved it
5:05 Excellent advice for anyone, whether literally for jiu-jitsu, or metaphorically for anything.
Pedro Sauer is an incredible person.
Pedro Sauer is a legend
This is beautiful.
i love pedro sauer and his explanations so much!
Watched this for the first time about 2 years ago... really enjoyed watching it a 2nd time now! Such great details that I need to work on :)
control the spine, great vid. great teacher
That was a great explanation with easy to understand details, thank you! I will try to remain close to the well. :)
Wow, fantastic details.
Thank you 🤙
great details. No loss of position if all the details are done correctly
This is the guy who beat a 250lb bodybuilder
Lol
It's true
And badly.......lol.gjj4life
No doubt Pedro Sauer is deserving and worthy of every stripe on his belt
+Jacob Miller-Vasquez they should just give him a red belt and call it a day.
Thank you for this knowledge, master Pedro Sauer...
He's such a great teacher! Clap
Always so smooth ,reminds me of James Bond lol! Such a honor to learn from him
Amazing attention to detail
Master Professor Pedro Sauer At His Best . Doing My 🏡 Home Work 👀👂👍😁🥋.
"I don't care if you are fifty points ahead of me just give me one submission and I'll be happy with that," yup I'll be taking that quote to the bank. Thank you as always Master Sauer!
Pure leverage!! Thanks!!
Awesome!
Fantastic instruction. As for the move itself, I'm not quite sure i'd be comfortable in attempting the use of it against a Blue Belt or higher. Seems a little too predictable and easy to counter if done early. Not sure...i'll try it a couple of times though to see if it will benefit me without compromising my advantage too much.
Master Sauer is the man!
What prevents guy on bottom from going to half guard right before top guy starts going for the collar? At that point, the top guy’s outside leg hardly has any weight on it.
Great teacher
great teacher...!!!
Pure knowledge.
HELL yes. great vid.
Ude hisgi juji gatame Kara taka kyoshi no kamae.
Excelente. ... details
Master Sauer Is Right 👍👀👂😁!
Genius!
How does one dislike this video I cannot comprehend
I'm really new, may I ask why he leaves one of his legs close enough to trap back into half guard?
Where do you see this, if I may ask? Can you give a timestamp?
RickMerchantttt i think hes talking about the initial mount position, where the professor shifts his hips to his left. @ 0:30 - 1:30
yerrrdig
Cool, thanks.
What works nicely about the armbar Prof. Sauer is setting up is that if his partner wants to get Prof. Sauer's right leg back into half guard, he needs to turn on his left shoulder. So all Prof. Sauer would have to do is step his leg up the way he does around 2:18, and the armbar would proceed as he showed. You, as the bottom man, would need to try and shrimp back to half guard before you let the top guy feed in that deep collar grip. I know it's a little late, but I hope that answers your question. Obviously there's a thousand 'what-ifs' with any technique! Cheers.
I hope I'm correct in assuming you mean his right leg before it comes up to trap the shoulder for an S mount, by reaching inside the bottom guys right collar, this prevents the bottom guy from turning to his left to hook his leg into half guard, as his shoulder is pinned and cannot allow him to do that.
Man this guys students must be killers. Great professor
I don´t care a lot about belts, but I wonder how many people have the same or higher belt as Pedro Sauer.
not many. theres like MAYBE a dozen red belts (alive) like Rickson and Relson Gracie, and a handful of coral belts (my instructor is one)
CrimsonDrago hi, who's your instructor? :)
Luiz Palhares. he is under Master Rickson.
:) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Brazilian_jiu-jitsu_practitioners
Macarrão is another coral belt. And Mauricio (Roger Gracie's father) is another coral belt
Everybody is a skeleton and deserves equal respect! I like it! 🤗
I'd love to hear the reason behind the single downvote
+pandnh4 he gave the downvote to himself just to make things fair lol
No S mount ???
