Modeling a Spitfire Cockpit in Blender [Pt. 3] (Arijan)
For perfectly flat surface i'm using shrinkwrap modifier (project on Y) . Just add a plane and than make group of vertices for shrinkwrap on that plane. By this way you can easily correct angle of window by rotating plane as you need.
Thanks for the tutorial. Will be Waiting for the next episode.
great work man and an amazing explanation
Always glad to see another video. Vector math sounds interesting too ;)
Perfect follow along- tutorial. Is there any chance, we get to see the making of the rest? (Prop, Propeller Cap, The mirrormodifyer for the wings that dont work on my model..)
Amazing, just amazing. Thanks a lot.
Hey man your videos are really great for learning how to model aircrafts. Can you please upload how you modelled the rudder and the back wings. Was it similar to the main wings?
yea i'm working on my own plane as well and i'd like him to explain how he did the rudders and the rotor with the blades in front of the plane. im learning alot from him, he's a really helpful guy
Amazing teaching on how to get realistic effects, how do i seperate this model into pieces for laser cutting so i can build this model " frame work"?
Thanks man your amazing 👍🏻
17:32 your face man lol
Nice Video an great Tips. btw you can use math operations directly in blender. no need to calculate with google.
btw are you gonna continue your texturing tutorial?
With the Spitfire? It would be nice but Boris made me hate blender's texturing game
Considering that the canopy (NOT cockpit btw) wound up being it's own object disconnected from the main body in the end....there was no need to mess with the main body topology that much in the beginning. Could have created a duplicate of the topology you wanted to borrow from it rather than make destructive changes to it. Now the shape of the main body from the canopy all the way to the front of the plane has changed and become uneven because an entire loop is missing, in order to make an object that isn't even connected to it. Not to be too critical, that kinda thing happens to me all the time and hindsight is 20/20, but just something I noticed could have been done in a less destructive way.
You are 100% right, just wanted to show some tools and tricks. There are definitely better ways to do it.
@@ArijanRace That "location" trick with setting the origin and 3D cursor in order to scale/move something along an angle is a really good one that I'll definitely be using!
I was doing ok until I got to the windshield. You rocked ass and left me in the dust man!🤣I have always used a tri fold plane and lean it back but with the radius on this one its not so simple.
as an aviator I anticipated actually modeling the cockpit and gauges but no its just the canopy XD
I am considering doing a cockpit modeling livestream soon, the Discord wanted to see it. It's a great idea, maybe we will do it soon!
I always struggle when I made cockpits
the shape is kind of confusing and my topology is totally horrible
Yeah it's a brutal shape to make, but good to know
your tutorial's are very useful and its not cockpit its canopy 😁
