    I am not into enjoying calamity; however.... .... the watch pin collar tutorial was very useful. My watch required an hour glass shaped 3mm collar to be re-inserted and the watch strap has 7 segments forming one link. I had to figure out which segment the collar went back into. Due to taking it apart and not realizing it had a watch pin collar because I had never encountered a watch pin collar. This assisted me to understand where to put the collar back in even though the watch in the tutorial is much more simple to reassemble the band!!!! VERY USEFUL! GREAT JOB YOU DID ON THIS VIDEO. My watch went back together successfully WHEW!!!! 🙂⏲

    Excellent video. Got me out of a problem as I wasn't expecting to find this system when I took out the first pin on my Citizen Promaster! Had watched and read up on other systems and thought I was ready, so thanks for coming to the rescue.

    Hahaha "enjoy your calamity..." So true.
    Then I realized you apparently sell a watch called the Calamity. I still laughed though, not ashamed to admit it.

    Thanks a whole heap....you saved my day, was breaking my balls trying to figure which way out and back in....no arrows on the bracelet. Of course not because completely symmetrical pin and collar so either direction is just fine!....omg was really sweating it since its a beautiful maurice lacroix miros diver limited edition cosc certified auto.....So I was more tense than when working on my 50 bucks casio, know what I mean!? Hi from Berlin Germany, John

    How do you repair the links where you can't see the pin?

    I've been eyeing your Calamity, actually been looking at a lot of microbrand watches, but the 666 just stands out in terms of a diver that isn't too thick. Wondered about the pin and collar, some people complain, while others defend it. You make it look idiot proof, I might test that theory soon.
    Still saving pennies for my next watch. I am wearing a Speedy as my daily, have lost the tachy bezel. Want to get it serviced and retired, as it was a sizable investment. But I hear you are only making a limited run of the Calamity. Should I be worried that in a few months the ship will have sailed?

    Would you watch break on the links that don't have holes?

    Thank you, that was crystal clear. Just a small question, if I may ask - unlike the collar in your vid, the one in my bracelet is only a couple of millimetres wide, so what's the best way to reinsert that?

      Hold your collar side bracelet flat on your work surface and slide it in. Don't try to pick up and manipulate the bracelet that holds the collar, just bring the other half to it.

    is it possible to remove the pins that are supposed to be permanent? hopefully without damage?

    • @OrionWatches
      @OrionWatches  Год назад

      It is possible but it's a job for a professional and requires specific tooling.

      @@OrionWatches thanks for the reply. I tried removing one partially and changed my mind as it was tight. I would probably have jammed it with the pin getting stuck if I continued hammering with a push pin. 🤪
