I know this video is over 5 years old by now, but I just wanted to say thank you for giving me a lifetime's worth of knowledge in a short, concise video. I watched this in one go, and am now able to resize any watch for the rest of my days, thank you sir!
Thank you for your comment. Cheers!
@@dial2fast same thank u
@@dial2fast Great video, Where can i buy those tools ? I actually have that blue tool but I don’t have the little pin thing nail and hit back in or the rubber hammer
2:11 "now carefully pull this pin out" : *pulls pin out with great force* 😂😂
He said "carefully", meaning "don't bend it because you're gonna need it again".
@@zognowak2842 yeah that's what carefully could mean
@@stormynight505 A gamer could actually get a life, IF he could get out of his mama's basement.
Well technically u have many pins unless you use almost all of them. Bending a couple isnt the end of the world

Definitely appreciate this video! I pre-purchased all the necessary tools to remove the links on the watch but me being a first-time user do not know how to use them. With this video it lead me in the right direction and I took from there. Thanks for your time and uploading this video.
Thanks for your comment!
3:10 you're welcome.
I bought a kit on eBay. I got the back off of a cheap Invicta. I needed a battery, and my guy was a victim of the lockdown. Luckily, it was very cheap, because he said 1) It was the wrong battery 2) And I managed to short it out and ruin it trying to change it.
I've done it , definitely the credit goes to this video. :)
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can give me
I just got the same blue plastic link removal tool off Amazon for $4 CDN shipping included! And it worked a charm. Smooth as butter! Thanks for the clear video.
It's 2022 and I got the little kit, took my band apart on both sides and put it back together again following your video and it all worked and a nice sense of accomplishment. Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Amazing how we use to take these to the store to get resized. Never knew it was so simple.
I just adjusted my watch by removing 5 chain links, easier said than done without the proper tools, but absolutely worth it. Thank you for showing me how to do this! The arrows are crucial to find the links that can be adjusted, my watch had 8 of them (4 on each side). Additionally, you can further fine-tune the size by the clip in the middle. The pin that goes in there is spring-loaded. With a nail you can dislodge the pin and move it to another slot. Also, if you have a nail with a flat head, you can use it to press into the opposite side of a link you're trying to reassemble. That keeps the structure in place. Make sure that the nail is a bit bigger than the hole though, otherwise it will wedge itself in. Keep that nail bottom side and rested on a crafting table, and whack ahead. Make sure to check regularly whether the pin is actually going where it's supposed to.
Thumbs down because I hated your intro
@@user-nw8xy8cp4y Thumbs down because I hated your nonsensical comment. I suggest that you take your hateful worldview back to Twitter, or just close the video and move on with your life.
Thanks for this. My Wife had an old Omega watch that was a little tight, so after familiarising myself with how the pins/links worked using your guide, I was able to resize it by adding a couple of links to it. I had to make do with using a SIM needle and a meat tenderiser lol, but I was very careful and had no trouble other than being unable to recess the pins as described at 3:30.
Thank you so much for this video. Got a very inexpensive set of required tools from Amazon ($10) and with your step by step guide was able to take links out from each side of the watch with absolutely no problem. My local jeweler wanted to charge me $15 just for the one time, now I'm independent for life!
Thank you! I was on my way to the jeweler to have a warch band resized. Realized I had a deluxe repair kit. Pulled it out, watched your vid and did it myself! 😇
Great video. I changed 4 watch bands without any trouble. Thanks
The one with the pins near the clasp was the easiest one for me to do since I don't have a tool kit like yours and even tho it's not fully fitted it still fits right. Thank you for the help
I followed your instructions and was able to remove two links from my band in just a few minutes. Fortunately, I had already purchased a tool in anticipation of learning how to do this. Anyway, the band on my new watch fits perfectly. Thanks for the excellent video.
What tool did you buy?
Excellent a 10, great camera work, spoken word and use of words, clear, precise very professional. Thank you for your time, effort and expertize
Great tutorial!!!
Just bought this watch and can't wait to wear it.
This video was so helpful to me. I received a watch link remover with the watch I purchased but being illeterate I had a hard time with the instructions. Thank you.
Always wondered how to resize my band - and a couple of rounds through your video and I'm doing it! So cool.
Very informative and clear presentation. Thank you.
Thanks for your comment!
Thank you. Very professional. Clear concise. Awesome!
Great video. Very professional. Told me exactly how to resize my new watch. Thanks.
Thanks. Great about the arrows underneath 😁👍🏻
Thanks. This video and a cheap watch repair kit on amazon helped me remove the correct amount of links in no time for my new watch :D
This video helped a lot. Had 2 watches that needed reajusting. Thank you a lot! :)
Thank you SOOOOOOOOO MUCH for this tutorial! I was cleaning today sorting through some storage boxes & found an Apple Watch band I purchased over 2 years ago still in the box. Watching your video I was able to learn how to remove the extra link & adjust the band for my wrist size. I removed 5 links, put everything back together & now I am a happy camper!!! 🙏🏾👍🏾👌🏾🖤💛🥰🌈
Thank You! This video REALLY helped!!!
Thank you! Got the second tool for free with my online order, cheaply made but does the job! You saved me €10 so have a like and sub
Dr. Toch, Very good video of removing the links. Thank you.

all the reactions about you "yanking" out the pin only mean they haven't tried it themselves. I found this video really useful and well put together. It sure helped me, and yes, I had to "yank" it out too. Maybe in a 2 dollar watch the pins aren't as hard to pull out, but mine surely were. And I probably would have stopped trying (out of fear of damaging the watch) if you hadn't shown that the use of force was necessary. Great job and thank you!!!!!
this^ I was on the right track, but didnt wanna destroy my new watch!
yay! a 5 minute video for a 5 minute process. I can't believe some of the choices are 30 minutes long!!! The watch band link remover is pretty cruddy but it does the job if you can line up the screw with the pinhole
Did it with ease after watching your vid. Thanks!
Very helpful. Was able to remove 3 links in less than 3 minutes with this help. Thank you.
Great video. Clear and concise.
Thank you for posting this, I was able to adjust my watches (finally) successfully and without aggravation and damage...!

Well done! Straight forward... super simple and you have saved me $$$ I really appreciate it!
Brilliant! The blue tool worked wonders! And to think they were going to charge me $25 USD at the mall to do this. Well done, sir!
Sean Moore Thats such a scam! They tried to do the same with me once. Luckily I got that watchtool when I bought a new watch, i didn't even know about it they just threw it in.
You’re a life saver!! Thank for your video!!
Thx so much!
You help me a lot!

Thanks!!!! I just resized three brand new watches. I cannot wait to wear them.
Thank you for teaching me how to adjust my new watch. Sadly I didn't buy the adjusting kit with the watch, so it took an extra couple of days before I could use my watch.
Excellent presentation. Great camera work of closeup details with clear audio description! Well done sir. Thanks for posting and stay safe 🙏

Excellent...!
Thankyou - very informative demonstration, it's saved me £25 {the price I would have had to pay for the adjustment of 2 watches I own}.I can also potentially earn money by offering to adjust family & friends watches for a cheaper price than the Jewellers would charge!!!!A WIN\WIN situation all around.
Thanks for your comment!
Your very welcome - it's refreshing to find someone who is happy to share their experiences & knowledge. Most people prefer to keep 'specialist knowledge' secret, so that they can make money from it!
God bless you for your charitable actions - I believe it'll lead to fantastic 'Karma' for you, may I wish you & your family a
very Merry Christmas and a healthy, wealthy & wise 2017.

Good video. Thanks.
Awesome - thanks
Brilliant, thank you.
Thank you ☺
Thanks very much dude, very helpful video.
This was great! The one thing I would say is at the end when he hammers the pin all the way in so it's not sticking out, use your screw in type remover. Line it up and turn until you hear a quite click. Pin properly in place! Cheers!
