    After a 20 minute struggle with using another video, you told me to close one half before attempting to insert the second staple. Thank you.

    Took me nearly an hour - accompanied by a lot of bad language - but I did it ... couldn't have done it without you - many thanks indeed.

      It is a ridiculously tough job, the only reason I even attempted it was my grandfather removed a link when I was a kid. When I got into it I realized the amazing skill of my grandfather. Having those pens jump across the room, I wouldn’t just jump into that job again👍

    I just resized mine in my work truck with a pair of wire cutters and a 3lb sledgehammer. Thanks for the video. You’re a hero.

    I have an older Speidel watchband which used to belong to my late father-in-law. I love it, but over the years it had gotten quite loose. I was getting sick and tired of my watch floating around my wrist, so after coming across this video I decided to give it a go and remove a couple of links. I did it and now my watch fits snugly but comfortably. Thank you for this video, is a great guide on how to do this!

    Thank you for this video! It was the most helpful video I found on youtube in assisting me through the link adjustment process for expansion bands (as a first timer).

    I bought a new watch for my teeny tiny mother and didn’t want to wait for a jeweler to shorten the band for her wrist. This worked!! I used my jewelry-making tools and had it done in about half hour. It’s a fiddly job for sure. Less time than it would take to drive to the shop. Thank you!!!

    About three weeks ago I worked out with great difficulty how to get the job done. Today YT suggested your video for the first time. You have beautifully depicted what I unfortunately did not know at the time.

    Thanks for the help. The last pin was hard to get in. I may have done mine slightly different, but it looks and fits great. Took about 20 minutes.

    That was very helpful. This is way more work that I want to attempt on my Grandpa's old watch, so I've placed the band aside, safely, and I'm just ordering a leather one. I'd hate to loose a pin or something on a 60+ year old watch. The old band is too large for me. Thank you for the upload 😊

    I shortened my band, it was a bit of a pain to do. I was dreading it having done it years ago on my Seiko band. I remember that. Thank you for your how to video.

    My band is a little tight on my wrist: is it possible to add links via this same process?

    • @8avexp
      @8avexp 3 дня назад

      It's the same procedure, but instead of removing links, you're adding them. Twist-o-flex bands also come in extra long lengths.

      There used to be commercials for Twist-o-flex bands. I've worn them for years and love them.
